Want to get in the Zone? The Discraft Zone is a slim putter with a thick rim (1.2cm) that gives you something to hold on to. This is a very overstable putter that is good for headwinds, strategic fades, forehand throws, flick putts, and slamming into chains at just the right angle. Many Discraft enthusiasts will have a Zone in their bag as a putter that gets them out of a situation where a flick, or sidearm putt or approach shot is their only option. Being so overstable, this disc can handle the torque that a flick will put on it! The Zone is considered one of the best Discraft Discs available today.

Everyone should own a Zone.  I bag 2, one in Ti and the other is Cryztal FLX.  The Ti is a meat hook with a little ground play and the FLX is slightly straighter before dumping out and has a tendency to sit down with no skip.  I use a zone on almost every approach within 150 that allows for a shot that swings out.  Comfortable for forehands and backhands.

The Zone is my favorite of the overstable approach archetype. Having tried the Rhyno, Pig, Harp, Entropy and Stabilizer, I can confidently say the Zone is the most comfortable in the hand (at least from personal experience) for forehands and backhands. It may not be as overstable as the Stabilizer or Harp (in some plastics), and it may skip more than the Rhyno or Pig, but it's extremely versatile in all conditions and can likely find a slot in most players' bags.

Anything inside 200 ft I'm 90% of the time throwing a zone, even my buddy and I have a saying "throw zone" because its such a reliable approach disc! I love knowing that everytime I thow it it's gonna have a dependable fade, feels great in the hand and can even be thrown with a little flex to get some a little more distance.

This disc is very good, however, its got some competition in my bag for my harps for one reason, the skip.  It has a little bit more skip than my harps do which can be a little annoying if you don't need it.  Other than that, this disc is very stable and predictable.  I really enjoy it for the power forhand and even a backhand when it gets a little windy.  Comparing it to the harp, its a little more stable at the end, and it doesn't have a little bead like the harp does.  Overall, I really like this disc but I think I have to get a jawbreaker one and beat it in to see the whole potential of it.  I would recommend this to anyone but would also say you should try the harp and pick your poison!

I was going back and forth between two discs for my overstable/utility/flick approach slot. DD Justice vs Discraft Zone. The Zone came out as the winner. It feels  amazing in the hand. I love the beadless feel vs the Justice's big bead. Especially for sidearm throws. I find that the Zone was the most workable stability between the two discs.  I've tried the Zone in Jawbreaker, Z, and Titanium. The Z is the most overstable, like a 4 fade, with the most skip and the jawbreaker is still kinda stable but more like a 1.5-2 fade now and sticks when it lands. The titanium is a perfect blend of the two.  Basically flies the numbers and has just a bit of skip.  I mostly use the titanium zone, but will add the z or jawbreaker for certain courses. When my jawbreaker completely loses stability, I'll probably buy Pro-D.  I found out that the jawbreaker lost stability pretty quick almost like base plastic kinda quick. Might as well save the money, plus I find discraft's pro-d is one of the more durable base plastics out there.

This is my go to upshot/utility disc. It can be thrown with a lot of power and will not flip over. For upshots it has a clean release and a consistent fade.

The Zone is very flat on top almost to the point of being a puddle top and has a smooth beadless rim. It is very similar in flight to a Westside Harp but not as deep and does not have the convex rim.

I would say its a must bag for any one throwing Discraft.

Absolutely love the Zone for a throwing putter. It feels really good in the hand and does awesome for backhand and forehand approach shots. Titanium plastic to me is kinda like a mix of the Z and ESP plastics; it has the overstability of Z and the glide of ESP. And of course the durability is outstanding

I recently switched to the Zone from the Harp.  The Zone is more overstable than the Harp, especially when thrown at full power.  The Zone has the fade I'm looking for at the end of its flight when I'm trying to get around obstacles or if the wind tries to become a factor.  The Titanium plastic feels really good, also.

The Zone is my absolute favorite throwing putter. And that's pretty impressive since I love the MVP Atom and the Dynamic Discs Deputy so much.

I currently have the Zone in Titanium plastic. It is very grippy with a little bit of flex in it. The durability is... insane. I have hit very many trees and thrown the disc a lot and there's barely any marks on the disc at all and the flight hasn't changed. I plan on trying the Z McZones if I ever lose this Ti one.

Forehand or backhand, the Zone does it all. Its a shallow, flat topped, sometimes puddled topped putter. I can rip on this disc straight and it will hold straight and then have a really nice overstable finish. The predictable flight of this disc is something I can always lean on, wind or not.

One of my favorite things about the Zone is that it likes to sit where it lands. You can get it to skip some on the proper angle or on harder ground, but otherwise it doesn't really get a lot of ground play.

This is my perfect approach disc, and I will always have one in the bag.

Titanium 174g. Very overstable and wonderfully so. This is an extremely versatile approach disc that excels at shaping lines, cutting tight corners, controlling distance, facing headwinds, and getting you out of jail. When thrown soft, it starts fading the second it leaves the hand. When powered up, it will hold a nice hyzer. When thrown with the aggression of Hercules, it will go very straight for 80% of its flight and then finish with a very healthy fade.

It's low profile and rounded nose make it extremely comfortable in the hand and a joy to throw. It is one of the most consistent and useful discs in my bag. I use it for upshots from 50-200 feet and drives out to about 240, usually on a big hyzer.

I do not recommend this disc for beginners for two reasons: 1- it will cause frustration by its lack of distance potential. 2 - such an overstable disc may reinforce bad habits in beginners. However, develop a little arm speed and you will definitely appreciate the control it provides.

I don't like it for putting because it's just too overstable. Out past ~15 feet you have to start compensating for the fade and that leads to guessing and inconsistency. That being said, the Zone is my putter of choice into a big headwind.

The new Ti plastic is fantastic! It feels like it is a mid point between the 2015 Ledgestone Ti plastic and the Ti FLX plastic. It has a firm rim but the flight plate is a little pliable. The plastic itself is super tacky which is great for getting a bit more grip in wet conditions. Also the few I have purchased all came out board flat, with the tiniest bit of puddle top. They are plenty stable and the new brighter colors a super plus.
