The Zone is THE overstable approach disc. The Zone being very shallow and exceptionally torque-resistant gives this disc the perfect combination of characteristics needed to sustain high-power flicks to put yourself under the basket more often than you'd believe. My Z Glo Zone is noticeably puddle-topped which I find attractive in a disc like this, however, not everyone might feel similarly. With an array of plastics available out of Discraft, there's a Zone for every player out there.

Tried and true, there's not much negative to say about the Zone. It's mega popular for a reason, a perfect template for an overstable approach disc. I have two- one Z Glo and the other Z (puddle top). Comfortable hand feel, nice flat top, reliably overstable without wanting to dump out of the sky, and super torque resistant. Make sure you get one in a plastic you're comfortable with though- my one issue with my zones is that they like to skip and sometimes slip out of my hands because neither of mine are very grippy.

If you're looking for a great feeling approach disc that has a nice amount of stability and glide, look no further than the zone. This disc holds great lines and can be thrown with many different release angles. When thrown on a forehand hyzer, you will get a nice fade toward the basket. When released flat, you will notice a nice glide and a small finish at the end. When thrown on an anyzer line, it will hold that line and fight back just in time to sit right by the basket. These are great for all skill levels.

The zone sets the standard for overstable approach discs. It sits somewhere between a midrange and a putter and is great for approaches and drives up to about 250 feet. Its low profile and small diameter means that it fits comfortably in the hand for both forehands and backhands. The Z Glo is my preferred plastic for driving, but I also use jawbreaker zones for the same hand feel, but for a straighter flight. A Z glo zone and a beat in jawbreaker zone make for a deadly approach game combo.

I've had a few zones: Ti flx, cryZtal flx, Z, jawbreaker and Z-glo. I currently bag the jawbreaker and z-glo. First of all, it's the best approach disc in the game. My baseline is my go to, it's very straight and when ripped on backhand it'll flip just a touch and go straight. My Z-glo is a touch more OS than the get freaky, I use it for some tee shots, swooping approaches and wind approaches when the jawbreaker is too straight for the shot.

The zone is the most consistent disc in my bag, and my favorite. With its stability combined with being a slow speed disc, it is an extremely useful utility disc. The thing that makes the zone stand out over other overstable putters is its forehand stability. I have tried other utters and they were good for backhand, but the zone doesn't turn over when a high power forehand is thrown.

This is my go to forehand approach disc! No glide to this disc but you will always have confidence in anywaind that it is going to fade out. It does get a little skippy if thrown with hyzer but amazing for control approach shots. Not a great putter for beginners that are looking for a putting putter or even backhands the grip isnt the best. Advanced players need to get one for forehand up shots.

Not too much grip but it flies straight and accurate like it should.
