Want to get in the Zone? The Discraft Zone is a slim putter with a thick rim (1.2cm) that gives you something to hold on to. This is a very overstable putter that is good for headwinds, strategic fades, forehand throws, flick putts, and slamming into chains at just the right angle. Many Discraft enthusiasts will have a Zone in their bag as a putter that gets them out of a situation where a flick, or sidearm putt or approach shot is their only option. Being so overstable, this disc can handle the torque that a flick will put on it! The Zone is considered one of the best Discraft Discs available today.

Everyone needs a Zone. It is my favorite disc in the bag. I have 3 Zones all in different plastic. X-Soft, Jawbreaker, and Tour Z. I use all 3 regularly.

X-Soft: Beats in quickly. Straight flying disc with a slight fade once broken in. Sticks to the ground. Very workable. The plastic can be strange to get use to.
Jawbreaker: More Stable than X-Soft but still workable. More Glide and flies slightly farther. If I only had one plastic: this would be it as it would be easy to cycle different stages of wear.
Tour Z: Meathook. FH and big Hyzer approaches.

I use the Zone mostly for driving, approaches ~200ft, and sky hyzer approaches. I bag the Tomb for my regular approach shots but prefer driving with the Zone. Nothing is more satisfying than ripping on a zone as hard as you can and watching it sit right next to the basket.

This disc is unmatched! Hands down the BEST overstable approach disc on the market. Very reliable in any condition. Backhand or forehand this disc is money in the bank. It also feels great in the hand.

I love the Jawbreaker Zone. It is predictably reliable on right-hand backhand throws to fade left and a great right-hand forehand disc. I use this disc to get out of the brush and for approach shots within 200 feet of the pin. This is a top 3 favorite of mine!

The Zone - where to start? This is without a doubt the most used disc in my bag. I will use this on basically every upshot and off the tee on shorter technical holes that require an early left or right fade. I like to have two complementary Zones in my bag, one in baseline plastic and one in premium plastic. This disc will never leave my bag.

In my experience, the X Soft is the most overstable of the three baseline plastic versions. On a hard flick, I'll never turn it over. The X Soft plastic is also awesome for grabbing the ground as soon as it lands, making it perfect for full power approach shots that can't skip past the basket or OB. Being a baseline plastic, it will eventually warp and bubble, but this doesn't become an issue until months of heavy use.

The Pro-D and the Jawbreaker I find to have about the same amount of stability, with the Jawbreaker being slightly less than the Pro-D. Certainly still overstable, but much more shapeable than the hard straight line the X Soft will take. After beating it in a little, I can hyzer-flip my Jawbreaker and even get it to turn a little before fading back. Both the Pro-D and the Jawbreaker are also much straighter when powered down than the X Soft.

X Soft zone is my new favorite approach disc. I use it on my forehand approaches. This disc has a great feel in hand. Flatter than the Harp which feels better to me. The X soft is the most stable of the plastics I've tried and it hits the ground and sticks which is great for approaches.

The soft Zone isn't necessarily my favorite Zone and I think it's mostly because it's soft. When I think of the Zone I think of a super stuff flat topped disc and while this disc still maintains the flat top the softness changes the disc for me.

The disc itself feels like rubberized, grippy, and has some flex to it. For me the flex or floppiness of the soft zone creates inaccuracy of flight in my throws and I've noticed that only after a few uses the disc seems to have warped which I can only imagine has to do with the overall softness.

My opinion, if you're looking for something a little grippier but still stiff, check out the Jawbreaker Zone's which I currently own and love.

I know its a putter but its my go-to approach disc.  if its under 250' this thing is money. Super straight, pretty glidey, very little fade. The soft plastic feels awesome an is super durable. I love this disc!

Zones replaced my approach and mid range discs. Yes, it's not something I planned or even wanted, but there it is. I'm a mold minimalist when I can be, just makes me cooler, I guess. The Z and ESP plastics are the slowest and beefiest, Jawbreaker handles the mid slot, and the X soft is the best damn approach disc on the market and just gets better the more it beats in (forehand or backhand). But what about the Harp, bro??....crickets
