Want to get in the Zone? The Discraft Zone is a slim putter with a thick rim (1.2cm) that gives you something to hold on to. This is a very overstable putter that is good for headwinds, strategic fades, forehand throws, flick putts, and slamming into chains at just the right angle. Many Discraft enthusiasts will have a Zone in their bag as a putter that gets them out of a situation where a flick, or sidearm putt or approach shot is their only option. Being so overstable, this disc can handle the torque that a flick will put on it! The Zone is considered one of the best Discraft Discs available today.

This is 100% the most used disc in my bag- If I couldn't throw the zone, my round scores would be much worse. Such an amazing approach disc for everything 250 and in. I use this for a forehand anhyzer flex within 150 from the basket. It always settles right up by the basket. Also great for shorter holes off the tee where you need a super stable shot (backhand and forehand)

In my opinion, Big Z is the best plastic for the zone as it is a great level of stability. I think the regular Z plastic is more stable, where ESP is too understable for what im looking for, although both of those plastics are great for other purposes.

Haven't tried any of the other companies stable approach discs but I don't really think I need to. This does exactly what you think it will everytime without fail.  Super reliable and has great utility as a beginner when you need to make things simple and not play too much with angles. Also has been great for learning how to throw forehands with since goetting into disc golf I only ever threw a frisbee backhand.

For me this is my disc for any holes 300 and under. You can use these as an easy forehand disc or a power backhand putter. I have three zones all different stabilities. Personally my favorite putter to throw. A must try for those still looking for a throwing putter.

The best and most reliable approach disc in the game. I reach for my zone when I need a reliable slow fade into the basket.

My main approach disc when i need a fair amount of left to right movement (forehand).  Also, great for big BH hyzer dump shots, and putting into a strong headwind.

What else is there to be said about the zone? Every plastic ever available, beats in to however you want and keeps some kind of finish even in baseline....it's just the epitome of upshot discs. D blend and jawbreaker beat in to a nice 4,3.5,-1.5,1.5....my big z has beat into 4,3,-.5,2.5 over the last year....and my crystal flex has been 4,2,0,3.5 from day 1 and stayed that way. Combine a different plastic zone and every upshot is covered. Perfectly overstable and doesn't go too far. Now if discraft could just please make a midrange that flies AND FEELS like a zone(not a malta!) but goes about 30-40 feet farther.....**chef's kiss*

If you are a beginner I would hold off for a little bit before you get a zone. This thing drops out of the air so quickly and has almost no glide making it very hard for beginners to do a whole lot with. For anyone else however the zone is an incredible disc that I would highly suggest. I know every time I throw this thing that it will come back with a very reliable fade every time. This thing also has very little ground action making it super reliable to land where you want. No matter if I am throwing forehand or backhand I know I can trust it. IF you throw the zone on anhyzer it will always come back. This overstability makes it perfect for any approach shot you are attempting. It is equally as good on a touch forehand to always fall right in place where you need it to. I also really like the feel fo a zone in the hand both that myself and my friend have ordered have been board flat and easy to grip.

If you are looking to get a zone for any sort of distance this is the wrong disc. Most players in the world will barely get any distance out of the zone. This is the perfect approach disc especially in the wind. On any windy day that a reliable overstable approach is needed I will be pulling out my zone.

I love my Big Z Zone. It's a fantastic forehand approach disc, and can really stabilize that part of your game. As long as I focus on releasing it on a slight hyzer, it will crash beautifully by the basket every time. It's not so overstable that it can't be flicked too straight by mistake, which I'm more likely to do if I'm trying to approach from farther away, but I don't consider that a flaw with this disc. If I'm between 70-160 feet to the basket, I will forehand my zone unless physically forced by an obstacle to try something else.

Mine are like a metallic white big z, slight puddle top, slightly gummy, and quite overstable but still workable. Great if you want to cycle 2-3 zones in one plastic. Buy 2-3 of these babies and beat one in for a year or so then pop the other in the bag and you’re stylin. Out of the box these fly like my old beat in 400 A2 (aka pretty dang beefy). Great compliment to the eclipse envy which is much straighter but with a similar feel ??

I love this disc for Backhand fade placement shots or somewhat shorter Forehand shots where I need a lot of torque and would otherwise be worried about turning the disc over.  I can't turn this disc over and feel like I can place it very easily. It is my go to disc for placement shots. It also just sits and I can rely on little ground play (ESP plastic).

I first tried a zone 8 years ago or so, in ESP plastic. I was more so interested in throwing primarily Innova discs back then, but my first impression is that it felt great in the hand, and was quite over stable/reliable in the wind. I have tried tons of similar discs, from a wide range of companies. The only other disc that comes close to the zone for me is the Innova pro pig, but the last time that I bought a pig, it was surprisingly not over stable enough. So the zone has stood as a favorite for me. It's comfortability for forehand and backhand shots is unbeatable.  It is not so over stable that it will always fade out no matter what, but as an approach disc, it has performed well enough for me. It is just a lovable disc, seemingly. A disc that will probably go down in history as an all time greatest approach disc. My favorite plastic for the zone is the z plastic, and I prefer it with a very flat to concave flight plate.

    This disc is MONEY!!!!!!!!

Very straight flying. A weaker arm may experience an early fade. It does take "some" power to take this disc from an early meathook to flat flight path but if you can throw anything over a 7 speed you're probably fine and will get that dead-straight flight path you're looking for.

Since this disc is overstable, it's so good for approach shots and holding tight lines.Reliable fade and soft landings feels great in the hands for backhands and forehands.

A staple in the bag for anyone looking for an overstable putt & approach disc.

I carry this mold in 3 plastics that fill any approach shot I need 250 feet and in.

Jawbreaker, Z, & CryZtal Flx cover every sidearm approach and most backhand approaches.

Compared to other overstable approach discs the Zone has proven to be more consistent and reliable across different plastics and levels of wear.

It cannot be overstated how overstable this disc is.  It is designed to be the most reliable left finishing (RHBH) approach putter out there.  It defined the archetype of discs when it was released.  It is used by many as a forehand approach disc and is able to handle a lot of force.  It fights out of any anhyzer line and can be kind of skippy when it lands.  If you need something you can trust in wind and that will function as a very overstable driving putter grab one of these.

I really like this disc. I got it to compare it to the harp (which I love) and love the feel of it. To me, it is way more comfortable to throw backhand than the harp and very similar FH so I bag both. It is pretty beefy but not fade out of the hand. Overall, great disc!

FH upshot masterpiece. You can also lay into in FH and it'll go straight and always fade. Backhand it's also great. Shot hyzer. It'll skip of u keep it low. FH rollers too

The Forehand approach disc of a lifetime. Fast enough to get where you need to go but slow enough to control. Nice flat top and shallow rim. Resists turn.

    Good for headwind puts
