Essential disc for me, can't see myself playing a round without some sort of Zone variation. Beat in cryZtal flx takes the cake tho.

The zone is an amazing disc always love to throw it in any conditions, there is many different plastics and kinds and I recommend this disc to anyone looking for a good overstable approach disc.

Hard to argue with what is considered the model for all other overstable approach discs. Comfortable forehand and backhand, the CryZtal FLX plastic maximizes the good qualities of the disc both in flight and in durability.

I didn't realize how badly I needed an overstable approach disc in my bag until I grabbed a zone. Now it's one of my most used discs every round. I like trying new discs, and I know there are plenty of alternatives similar to the zone, but it's been so good for me that I've never tried out anything else. If you haven't before, try a zone!

This is an amazing approach disc i have had it in many different plastics and they all are so amazing. I can get great distance out of it and the consistent and reliable finish always is there to help. I highly recommend this disc to anyone debating to get it.

My first zone was in jawbreaker plastic, complimented by a Get Freaky CryZtal FLX zone. after several months with them I can easily say they're staples in my bag.

I first got a Jawbreaker zone because I had some cash to spare and I wanted to try the legendary ZONE. New it wasn't quite what I expected, certainly not a 3 or 4 fade. Its since broken in to be probably a 4,3,0,1.5 which is honestly amazing.

Now the Get Freaky Zones are also great! Mines just shy of max weight(173 I think?) and its the perfect amount of overstable, exactly what I was expecting when I first ordered that jawbreaker zone I mentioned. The CryZtal FLX zones are true to the numbers for sure.

Both discs are incredibly predictable and reliable, so much so that I probably throw a zone a solid 40% of the shots I make, teeshots included. If you're a beginner with a slower arm speed who REALLY wants a zone Id stick to the jawbreaker zone. Its a little more forgiving and will beat into a really nice disc for you when you start to get more advanced. Either way you cant go to wrong! Zones definitely deserve the glowing reputation they have. Im not sure anything can beat them at what they do!

I have these in numerous different plastics. I'm not going to break down each one, but my favorite 3 are jawbreaker, cryztal flx, and Z. The jawbreaker stays straight longer, glides more, and fades a little less. Great driving disc that encroaches on my mids at times. The FLX is an elite approach disc and I love it in the woods where the more flexible plastic will be a little more forgiving on a tree hit. Z Line is beef and a great forehand disc.

No need to ramble on. Zone is one of the best discs ever made and is available in every plastic under the sun.

The Zone is overrated but also great at what it does. 4.5

Feeling - ESP feels a little better than crystal flx but is less stable and beats in quicker,  Flat top and smooth edges makes the disc feel great in your hand.  It is a classic that you can't go wrong with.

Flight - this is my issue is the zone is not that overstable and it's harder to get the fade to engage on shorter flights.  The fade is enough to allow for FH with some power but like the Harp you can throw through the disc and make it go from overstable to stable.  At first this was my go to approach disc but I found that when I rolled my wrist the disc wouldn't fight out as much as a Justice or Anvil will. BH flight is great and you will get good distance with it before having a solid fade.

Flight # - pretty spot on besides the fade which is a 3 most days but given too much juice or a strong headwind will make it lower to a 2.

I have this in cryztal flx, esp, and putter plastic. All around ~175g.

In my opinion, this is the greatest disc in the game.

It flies on its release angle for a while, and then fades. every time. I played in 35mph winds yesterday and the cryztal flx plastic only barely flipped into those ripping headwinds.

The crystal flx plastic is the most stable of plastics I have tried with basically no flip, true to the numbers. I have also been throwing my oldest Cryflx disc more than a year and it is still true to numbers, so I am happy with the durability.  I get a little flip on forehand with ESP plastic, but none on backhand. I get turn that results a pretty straight, s-turn flight with putter plastic on either shot. For context in comparing how this disc might fly for you, in Cryflx, when released flat I am getting ~300ft of straight flight and then a fade. With a slight anhyzer release I can get ~350ft.

I learned forehand with this disc. I was releasing with some wobble, but the stability of the disc would still hook up and come back. I was gradually able to reduce/remove the wobble from my release and start building my forehand shot from there. For a beginner, the overstability require some adjusting, but this disc helped me learn a lot about the game so I recommend to all.

One of those discs that can be thrown effectively by any level of player. It's also my pick for the most comfortable disc I've thrown; the shallow depth and shape of the rim feels perfect in both my FH and BH grips. The Zone is so useful that I eventually consolidated my approach discs into just the Berg, Reko, and Zone; I rarely find myself needing much else. In addition to approach shots, this disc is as effective off the tee for any shot within 250', for me anyway. I've tried a handful of plastics as well as domey to super puddle topped variants and a puddle top, Cryztal FLX is hands down my Zone of choice. The concave dome makes for an even better FH grip and the FLX plastic helps to keep the disc from skipping a lot or having too much ground action; one of the best frisbees to have for playing lawn darts. The Zone is the poster child for OS approach discs and if you haven't thrown one yet, you're doing yourself a disservice.

Loved this in crystal flex. That plastic is great! I elected to use Innova Pig instead because I liked the lower glide and chunkier rim in hand. But I would have no qualms about putting a zone back in my bag. It lives up to the hype.

This disc is something special and I can't really think of anything else quite like it. I have two of these now, both 174. Realized after a few weeks after getting the first one that, after my putter, this was my most used disc in my bag. If my second shot isn't a putt and isn't so far away I'm going to need a mid or fairway to cover the distance, odds are this will be coming out for the approach. Will fly pretty straight easily up to about 100' or more (RHBH) and then has a very hard predictable fade at the end. Does have some potential to skip so keep that in mind.

"oh everyone needs a ZONE!" I thought this was some gimmick since everyone was saying  it but for my birthday I bought one and let me tell you - YOU NEED A ZONE.

It is overstable (fading left for a right hand back hand player) and it is perfect for those short 9 hole courses.

I have mine in a CryZtal-FLX plastic which does do some pretty big skips (especially when wet) when it finishes so watch out for that.

Just got mine from the 2020 ledgestone open, used it in 5 rounds and whoa does it ever feel good.  Can flick it as hard as you want and its so consistent.  One reviewer called it a baby firebird and I agree wholeheartly.  I didn't think I would find any slow disc I liked as much as the Pig but this is just as good.

I cant throw this thing more than 220 feet. It is so overstable! For any short forehand approach or stable backhand shot this is my go to!

I got a crystal FLX on cyber monday to give it a try. With the recommendation I received by a fellow player on one of my trips, I started throwing this forehand. I call it my baby firebird. It flies nice and straight with the predictable fade. I have always just used by distance or control drives for my up shots. I have moved to using this. I got it as I am in the search for the best putter. It is a great long distance putter and I am liking the feel up close. I even took the blind risk and bought a glow disc that should be here any day. It has taken over my putter/midrange spot and i am tired of looking for a clear disc in the dark. Hopefully the feel won't be to different. I have also never had a flat top disc before. I think it helps to fly level, but I have no science behind that. I would definately recommend this disc to anyone who wants to try something different. I am glad I did.

I love the over stability of this disc. I have a strong flick and it is the disc I use if I want to make sure it always comes back. It is the most over stable putter I have ever thrown. I love this disc.
