The Wizard has been my putting putter for just under 10 years. I prefer to use the firmer plastics but that is just a personal preference. Out of the box, these putters have a reliable fade at the end of the flight. As they become more seasoned and beat in, they tend to become straighter and more "floaty", which I like for longer puts. The Wizard has a sizable bead that I like as a guide for my index finger. At the end of the day putting putters come down to hand feel as most will have the same flights inside the circle. That being said I would certainly reccomend this putter to anyone who likes to putt with a bead. As for throwing, the Wizard is a great option and I also prefer to use firmer base plastics, I have tried Gateway's premium Wizards before but have found them to be more understable than their base plastics which is typically the opposite for most companies. I have given out many Wizards to friends to try over the years and for most of them, it is their go to putter as well.

Best one so far, great Glide and reasonable stable to hold your line. comfortable in hand even when I was used to beadless putters.  Firm ones are greatest and get more sticky when wet. Quite flat profile and good for longer, out side circle puts. Erazer is good for cold days, very grippy, not recommended in warmest weather. One of the best molds for a reason.

I've been bagging the Wizard for a month now and I love the feel of this disc as it beats in.  I have it in the $$$ plastic and it feels like tight balloon plastic stretched over a tacky round edge.  This disc STICKS!  I haven't approached with it at all as it's only a chain banger.  It will stay straight when push putted at 15- 20 feet, however, it will fade and if it catches an edge, it can roll quite a bit.  It more than makes up with it when it's anywhere near the chains, it just wants to grab em and stay in!  Definitely order one when they're in stock!

I'm a newer disc golfer and was looking into upping my putter game, I started out with an Innova Polecat, which for those that don't know is a flat rimed disc similar to a traditional Frisbee. The sure grip polymer that Gateway uses is fantastic, It feels great in the hand and inspires confidence in my putting game. The bead feels good and isn't too large. I like that Gateway offers a wide variety of flexibility in the plastics the offer. I'm not a huge fan of using the wizard as a throwing putter as I have a soft flex and it can get chewed up easily. It also has more fade than other putters (I like to use an Aviar as a throwing putter) Overall, I am hooked on the Wizard and already have two in my bag, I will definitely buy more in the future. These things are awesome!

My favorite throwing and putting putter. The wizard seasons nicely. As it seasons it will become dead straight. As it continues to ware, it will get a nice right turn without dumping. This is the Innova Roc of throwing putters. I carry 3-4 in different stages of ware.
Once it starts to season it will become a great putting putter while still being reliable in the wind. Gateway putters are where it's at!

The Wizard was one of the most highly recommended putters so I decided to try it out, and glad I did.  I previously had a Warlock, but I wanted something with a little more stability.  I got the firm Wizard, and I love it.  Even the firm plastic has a good grip.  The disc feels great in my hands. It has a bead, but I don't really notice it.  I use it for upshots and putts, and there's no disc I'd rather have.

The Soft Wizard is definitely one of the top putting putters available. It feels great in the hand and has solid grip. I would recommend the Wizard to any new player (or veteran) that is looking for a putter. It has good depth and great for almost anyone to putt with.

I really love to throw the Wizard as well. You can drive with these wonderfully and they flight straight with the perfect amount of stability.

If you're looking for a putter and you're trying to decide if the Wizard is the right one for you, then stop looking and get one. (Just make sure you get one of the firmer ones. Soft or firmer)

    176g Firm Wizards.

These have been my go-to putters for the longest time and the best combination of grip and firm of a disc I've used so far. These things putting are very straight with enough fade to drop into the basket and handle windy day putts. The discs also fly straight with some fade for me once they get out about 250 feet.
