This is it. This is the putter you've been looking for. The wiz has a big old fat bead, good glide, reliable fade. There are a ton of plastics to choose from. You treat wizards like Pokémon you gotta collect em all. It's the disc I own the most of and it's not close. Get a wizard and bang some chains.

This disc is great. If you like beaded putters this is a great choice. It is an exact replica of a KC pro aviar. It putts reliably with a soft fade at the end of its flight. I never threw mine so I can't speak on that but as far as putters go this is one of the best.

Decided to try this putter recently, since it is very popular. It definitely feels good in the hand. Nice, medium profile and the bead was not an issue to me at all. The pure white plastic is quite nice as well. Firm yet grippy. It has quite an overstable flight though. It will glide briefly, and fade pretty hard. I felt comfortable with it on short putts, but for long putts it was quite hard to be on target consistently, since it would drop and fade so hard. It did quite well for approaches though. I had a few 100 foot throw ins out of a few dozen throws. I think it could do better for putting if well seasoned, but I prefer a putter that is workable brand new...

This is my putting putter and main upshot disc. I throw it off the tee pad with power grip or a hybrid grip, and putt with a fan grip. All are comfy to me on the wizard. It's got a "traditional" beaded putter feel with a fade that I rely on with my spin putt.

The pure white plastic is really tacky but still fairly firm. I also rock wizards in the firm and diamond plastics and I really enjoy them. They're almost boring because of how reliable they are. No adventure here, you know what a wizard will do every time. I try other putters but always come home to wizards. All the wizard blends feel amazing.

The Wizard is something I use strictly for putting, however that doesn't take away from how consistently it flies. I feel very comfortable using this disc anywhere inside of 40 feet. The bead is helpful for a more consistent putting grip. The Pure White plastic is my favorite from Gateway right now, it may be the stiffest plastic I've felt. The Pure White Wizard reminds me a bit of a KC Pro Aviar in terms of feel, and there aren't enough good things to say about that disc.

I bought the Wizard as my circle-only putter, and have used it for about 3 months of moderate play.  The putter is pretty shallow, but feels good in my hand.  I like this disc for its ability to fight wind.  The Pure White plastic has shown quite a bit of wear from hitting chains and basket, but I can live with that.

The Pure White Wizards are one of my favorite. I use them as a throwing putter. First of all, they are a wizard.  Beaded, relatively stable.  The PW plastic is a little more durable than your basic baseline plastic.  They are on the stiffer side and are fairly stable out of the box and hold that stability for a good amount of time.  For those reasons, I like them as a throwing putter off the tee or for upshots up to about 250' because they handle power well. They are a little slicker than some of the gateway plastic but they still have more grip than a premium plastic. This is a great plastic for the wizard if you need something stiffer that will hold the stability for a long time while not being a full blown premium plastic putter.

I've been a wizard thrower for a long time and have not tossed too many other putters recently, so I will not compare it to other options here. Wizards are great all around putters and popular for a reason.

I like the wizard for putting inside the circle as I can throw it directly at the basket without risk of turning over. The wizard has sufficient glide to for longer putts with enough fade to not fly too far long if you miss.

I like the wizard for all kinds of backhand upshots. I like to throw it straight and low skipping forward towards the basket. It also excels at hyzer approaches, but sometimes doesn't get as much right to left movement as I would expect. Despite it's stability, the wizard can hold an anhyzer to the ground if put on the appropriate angle.

Wizards are a great driving putter and have good distance potential if given enough height. They have enough stability to handle some power without turning over, but have enough glide to be fairly approachable for a beginner. I can throw mine about 250' on a straight line with predictable fade.

Pure White is rapidly becoming my favorite plastic for putting, approaches, and drives in all but the coldest weather. It is firm and smooth, but it does not lack grip, especially as it breaks in. It doesn't pick up dust and dirt like I understand eraser does and has a nice, clean release. The pure white plastic is also fairly durable, but breaks in nicely. Pure White makes a good cycling plastic as it starts out on the stable side for wizards but wears into a nice neutral flier before long.

The Wizard is obviously one of the most popular beaded putters there is and the options for plastic types are just about endless.

I snagged a replacement pure white x-out recently which was an excellent deal. The pure white plastic is killer and may be my new go to for Wizards. It's extra stiff and provides some great grip. The pure white definitely seems to be one of the stiffer plastics you can get a wizard in if that's your type of thing.

Great for driving and great for putting.

The nylon blend is super cool. Feels great in the hand. The plastic is soft yet extra grippy. Almost feels rubbery and is pretty stuff. In terms of stiffness it's definitely firm but not as stiff as pure white for example. Comparable to my eraser blend.

Love how Gateway continues to crank out new plastics with different feels for the Wizard.

The grip and flex on the RFF Glow is insane. This will definitely make an excellent winter, snow, wet, etc... day disc. I love the extra flexible gateway blends particualrly Wizards since it seems like you can throw them harder and they hold a true line while stopping on a dime. Another killer Wizard blend disc. The stamp rules too.

This is hands down the best putter ever made. Ive compared it to the Judge, Dagger, Pure, Pilot, Warden, Roach, Banger, Aviar, and probably others I cant remember. To me, it is the most comfortable putter for my hands. I like the Pure White and Organics the best.

I like it best as a putting putter. It works well for hyzer or spin putting. I have a mild nose up spin putt, which holds straight for most of the way with a dependable fade.

Throwing I usually put it on a small hyzer and it flips up to flat and has a good fade. It also works well for anhyzer turnovers that then finish flat.

Of all the plastics I've tried with Wizards, this (Pure White) is the only one I wouldn't consider using.  It's very stiff and there isn't really any grip in the plastic.  It feels like a harder version of DX.  I've actually got a "medium" Wizard from about 10-12 years ago and they feel basically identical.

I still have to give this 3 out of 5 stars because it's a Wizard, but I'd only use this plastic blend if I didn't have any other options.  Just for reference, I really like SS, SSS, RFF, $$$, Chalk, Eraser, and if it's warm enough Special Blend.  I need lots of grip and the Pure White just doesn't have it.

I assume this plastic lasts longer than the softer blends but I won't use it often enough to know for sure.

I recently picked up two Pure White Wizards after a few years of throwing the eraser Wizard alone with a super soft. No matter what plastic you choose, the Wizard is going to get the job done. I love it for all of my putt and approach shots from just about any distance. It is definitely my go to putter. I would highly recommend for any beginners or even more advanced players.

Great disc. Tired out PW and have not looked back. Has a very good mix of stiffness while retaining a good amount of grip to grab the chains. Seems to have a good amount of straight glide before fading back as the disc slows.

I've thrown wizards for over a decade in just about every plastic (PW, Glow, Medium, Firm, Eraser, Chalky, S, SS, SSS, SSSS, RF2, etc). I can easily claim this is my favorite disc of all time. I had switched because I wanted a putter with enough stability that I only had to worry about missing left (RHBH) but what I found was not only did it sure up my putting game but was incredible off the tee too. Now I carry 6-7 in my bag with way too many backups in the trunk of my car.

I love PW/ Glow for tee shots as I can really dig my thumb into them but they are hard enough not to give/ ensure a clean release. They've got enough stability that you can really rip into them and not have to worry about them turning over/ hold dead straight for 280'+ power. I also bag Eraser and SS as they're equally good throwers that are softer for sticking approaches and are super grippy for cold/wet days.

There are so many plastic options that you can find what you like to putt with and they all fly like wizards. I personally like Firm and SS but have friends who like PW and friends who like SSSS, just up to you. Just bag a wizard, it's awesome.

I have been a big fan of the Wizards for quite some time, and I have built up a nice stack of them in my disc collection.  Recently I picked up 1 of these white beauties, and I'm so glad I did.  It quickly became my go-to putter!  I love the feel and grip of the disc, and I have found that I do like stiffer plastic when it comes to putting.  That being said, there are slightly softer runs of the PWP too, and they also are nice.  Right now I have a stiff PWP and a slightly softer one, and I use them for all my inside-the-circle putts.  Try these out, because they are magical!
