This disc glides so far with a medium amount of power. It has reliable straight flight with turn and fade. It really makes me feel like a pro turning this over and watching it glides up to 400 ft. This is not a great wind disc. I love the gold plastic.  I'll always bag a river.

I LOVE This disc! I couldn't recommend this disc more, especially to beginners like myself. I did a little research and picked this up as my first driver. I enjoyed throwing it so much I recently bought it in the gold line plastic. It is ever so slightly overstable with a nice finish. Effortless distance for a beginner with the 7 glide, the first disc I managed to toss over 300ft. Gold line plastic feels great in my hand as well.

As someone who is kinda always throwing everything flat and let the disc do the work, I fell in love with the river when I was kinda new. It was my first "driver" and went dead straight and further than everything else I had at that time. It got out of my bag as I gained armspeed, because other discs flew similar and further. Now it's back in because I realised, what a great disc it is for controlled turnover shots when thrown flat at speed. I think it's got a use for everybody

This was the first driver I actually got consistent releases with. Giving me better distance and accuracy. I have bagged a River every sense then. It's probably the best fairway driver ever made. It is a shape and shoot disc. It goes wherever you want it to go as long as you release it on the right angle. I got a 600 plus foot rip on this disc downhill in a tailwind once it was awesome to see. Get yourself a River. You'll never regret it.

As a beginner I mess a lot of throw up. I can always rely on my River. Playing courses and trying out my drives forehand and backhand I can always rely on the feel of the River in my hand and the way it flies will always get me closer to the basket it flies absolutely true and is a wonderful beginner fairway driver.

This disc was one of my first discs and it is a great starter disc! At first I thought that a 7 glide was a myth, but it really does carry far without a lot of speed. The only downside is that it got beat in very quickly, however I now use it to throw those anhyzer backhands for holes that turn right. Great disc! Will definitely buy another one soon!

I'm very much a beginner and this is easily furthest flying disc. I think giving it a "7" glide is a bit of a marketing gimmick, but it is definitely flies. I have no problems getting it up to speed and love watching it fly. The plastic feels incredible, like it melts in your hand. This was my first lat 64 disc, and I'm definitely getting more.

Keep in mind that my form isn't great and there may be slight variability: but I think there is slightly more turn than fade. My only ding against this thing, and it isn't the fault of the disc, is that a cross or headwind will be detrimental to the flight. But it is incredible in the calm environment or in a tailwind.

I just bought a River the other day and straight out of the box it can be thrown with absolutely stupid amounts of hyzer and it will flip up and glide for days. It's an easy to control hyzer flip disc for sure. I like it for straight shots that finish straight or turned over, but I would not use it in the wind or for anything that needs some fade at the end.

I bought a couple Rivers after my first year of playing hoping it would be a good first fairway driver. It had pretty good glide but I found it to be pretty flippy even for my moderate armspeed. If I released it with any turn it was not coming back. Flat throws it flew very accurate to the numbers, but any amount of accidental turnover resulted in the disc going a long way in the wrong direction. It's a very popular disc and the person I gave it to ended up loving it. Just not the right disc for me.

A really good driver to get that desired distance for a newer player with a slower arm.  It does have glide for days.  For me it was a little touchy at first, but once I got used to it, I was able to get regular 300'+ throws.

I really want to like this disc more than I actually do. The glide is legitimate, thing goes for miles but you have to throw it just so. I've had good luck with it when it come to hyper flips that need to finish dead straight. It holds a hyzer well. Maybe it's just me just it feels weird to me in the hand because of how "domey" mine is. Overall it's a fun disc. If you don't have a cannon for an arm or are looking for that low ceiling glide disc, this is for you.

The Gold Line River was one of my first drivers as a disc golf player. This disc flys great and has a wonderful understable path. The grippy feel to Gold Line is nice in wet weather, and the mold of the disc feels great in the hand. I highly recommend.

The river was one of the first understable discs I found myself comfortable with. I threw a brand new Gold Line for about a month, and once the disc got slightly seasoned it was my most used disc off the tee. Works great for hyzerflips, anny lines, and with a softer arm like mine will most of the time have a soft fade/straight finish at the end. If you are beginner or intermediate and haven't tried this disc yet do yourself a favor and buy one.

I had one of these in Goldine plastic at 177 grams. The plastic was firm and grippy, couldn't be better really. Loved the feel of the plastic itself. Flight was really close to the ratings. It goes straight maybe just a hint of turn and fade. Great glide. I don't know if I can say 7, I feel like some midranges like a Fuse have even better glide. So drop that down to 6.

Really my only issue was the rim was slanted quite a bit on the inside, like a plus teebird or TL if you ever threw those. Not really to my liking there. Still a great disc, great flier. You will enjoy throwing this one.

I think the river is the glidiest disc I've ever thrown, even in max weight. With it's glide and turn this disc can fly far no matter who is throwing it. This is the disc that I lend to anybody who is playing for the first time if they have enough power to throw more than a straight midrange. I used to throw the river a lot for long tunnels and turnover shots that needed to hold all way up to 350 feet, but I found the turn of this disc to be very touchy. If you over turn this disc it will move hard to the right very quickly. For that reason I think it's a fantastic disc if you can learn to consistently control the turn. Definitely a disc that you want to spend some time with before you take it to the course or you may be left feeling very confused.

This baby does one thing really well and that is glide. You do not need to put a lot of power into this bad boy before you see it stand up and just go for days. Very straight flyer that seems slightly more overstable than the numbers would suggest. For wide open shots with not too much wind, this is my go to disc. If you are stuck in wooded areas, this may not be that useful of a disc for you, but in open shots this can help add a lot of distance to people with not the best arm speed. Super friendly beginner disc in a wonderful plastic.

This is my favorite disc. I carry three different plastics of it. The Gold line, the opto, and the opto-x.

My opto is very flippy and I also use it for rollers. It's not so flippy that if I put a lot of stank on it, it turns into a roller, but I don't have a powerful arm. I put a lot of anny on it to get it to roll.

Gold line is great, I get a real mild S turn out of it when thrown with a slight hyzer. It flips to flat, drifts right and comes back a little bit. Great for tight tunnel shots. It will hold a steeper hyzer line if needed.

My opto-X version is straight for days with the slightest fade at the end when thrown flat. I can put a lot of power into it and it doesn't turn over, unlike the other two plastics. I use this for dead straight shots.

I really like the rim feel on this disc. It works really well with my throwing style. I am noticing more and more that rim shape has a lot to do with how I release the disc when I throw. The river is very comfortable in all plastics and a great all around disc to throw whatever line you want. For an entry into what is the river, I'd recommend a gold line as it seems the most versatile of all the discs. But that is only if you're a noodle arm like myself.

What do I need to tell you to go buy this disc that the numbers don't tell you? For beginner arms, this is all the distance that you will need. This thing is controllable and gives you easy distance that you wouldn't believe. Imagine any fairway driver you are currently throwing, now add 25 feet to that on the exact same throw. There you go. That's what a 7 glide, which is accurate, gives you. It is extremely easy to throw and comfortable in the hand. Gold Line plastic is the best plastic on the market. There is nothing wrong with this disc. Go get one.

Disclaimer: Higher arm speeds will get this disc to turn over, to correct, add hyzer! Tada!

Definitely a fun disc to throw. I'll hyzer flip this disc and it goes dead straight for days before slowly fading. The glide on this disc is insane. Be careful however, if you miss your line or turn over on it a little, you could end up a ways from the basket.

A straight flying glidey disc. The ratings on this disc are accurate, it glides better than anything and flies straight. I used to think more Glide meant more distance, which is sort of true, but it also means less control. I actually am using a Vibram Valley in that slot now because it glides less. For non windy days, the River is a good choice.

This disc was in and out of my bag until I realized what this disc was made for; hyzer flips and late turning shots. If you have a shot that needs a dead straight to slight right turning flight, the River could be used. The glide keeps this disc in the air. One thing to note though, is that the River can easily be turned over. If you don't pull straight through (i.e. rounding) this disc can turn and burn right into the ground. The River isn't a great choice for headwinds either. But if you are playing in the woods or with calmer conditions, perhaps a tail wind also, the River can easily impress.

Pink Gold Line River - 170g - pretty domey

Lost my wonderful GStar Leopard3 in a creek, which is always a great excuse to try some new discs! I heard this was a good Leopard analogue with better glide, so I had to give it a shot. These are my notes from my first round with the disc.

Feel: I love gold line plastic! Very firm, good grip, durable and premium! The rim shape was easy to hold, similar to my old Leopard3 but not the exact same in that the River's rim is a little taller at the thickest point. Easy to grip and throw!

Flight: I have about 280' of distance on a typical throw, 300' on a perfect shot. The River was much more stable that predicted. On a flat release, it would stay flat for about 200' and then turn fairly dramatically, usually with a sizeable skip. On similar shots, my Leopard3 would turn a tiny bit right and flex back gently. It is very sensitive to release angles, despite it's stability when thrown flat. It is able to hold an anhyzer very well, way better than I thought. Thrown full power on a 4:00 anhyzer, it held it 250 feet to the ground without a hint of fade. When thrown on a hyzer, it again held the angle all the way, no flip at all. I look forward to breaking this disc in a bit, it's fun to throw and I think it could use just a touch less stability.

I did not notice any extra glide compared to my Leopard3, which was a bit of a disappointment.

Final Verdict: I really enjoyed it! It is not a drop-in replacement for my Leopard3 as I had hoped, but it's a very fun semi-overstable disc in it's own right and has earned a place in my bag. I have heard that lighter-weight Rivers are more flippy, so if you have a similar arm-speed to mine and you want some turn out of the box, I recommend 165g or lower.

This disc is so sweet!  This thing will glide for ever!  I am primarily a FH thrower and this is the disc I use to throw backhand.  I picked it up in a 2 disc challenge just for the fact that I needed to up my game and add a BH.  I can get very good distance.  This is a point and shoot disc, it goes right where it's thrown with a slight, but dependable, fade at the end.  The disc feels great in the hand and has a smooth release.  The glide is what I can't stress enough!  This discs throws like a 9 speed disc with the extra glide.

I picked this up with a Maul because I wanted to see how the 7 glide rating would do for me. Neither has disappointed, but this disc is my favorite of the two.

The glide is amazing for the flat courses we have here in Central Ohio. I can throw this at any time, and it will go farther than similarly rated discs (speed and turn/fade). I don't throw this quite as far as the Maul, but it's not too far off. I can get 250' regularly, when my higher speed discs get to 300-315'.

I have Gold Line plastic on this one. The ratings are good except for the fade. I feel like it has a lot more fade than advertised. Not a bad thing per se, but definitely takes a bit of distance out of it.

If you're a beginner or someone without a big arm, this is going to help you get more distance immediately (in a good way).

I bought this after hearing rave reviews about "glide" but honestly didn't notice any more than a glide 5-6 disc. That said, its a great disc for beginners because its very understable. A -1 turn is not even close in my experience as I find this more flippy than almost every disc I own (167g). One thing that is easy to do is throw this disc so that it never fades back left. It will take a right turn all the way to the ground. Not really something I need being a FH thrower primarily. You can also put major hyzer and flip it up to straight but at that point I'm discing up anyway.

174 g Pink Gold Line River

The River in Gold Line is slowly becoming my favorite disc. This is what I wanted the Saint Pro to be. I love the Saint Pro, but it is just too touchy for me. The River can be thrown hard, and won't turn over too much, which is what I was looking for. For long, straight shots, you can't do better than this disc. Would highly recommend.

Glide for days! This is a pretty good disc for beginners and for flip-up shots like tunnel shots. It's pretty domey, which is usually necessary for very glidey discs. It can get pretty sneaky distance for a 7 speed, and is great for long slow anhyzer shots.

OVERALL.  I bought a 168g River in Gold Line plastic from Infinite Discs.  I really like this disc.  It is a straight mid-range/control driver that will glide for days.  Its a must have for long tunnel shots and control drives on tight fairways.  I recommend this disc for everyone.  Even a beginner will have enough power within the first few months to throw this disc.

LOOK/FEEL:  The River has a normal feel; not flat but not overly domey.  The rims are average thickness.  They're thicker than most mid-ranges but thinner than most of your distance drivers.  Its feels great in the hand.  The Gold Line plastic is a very durable plastic and, despite feeling slick, has some grip to it.  It gets slippery when its wet so you have to make sure you have a towel with you in wet or dew conditions.

PERFORMANCE.  This disc will glide for DAYS.  I think the 7-rating is accurate.  I have average power and can routinely get 325-360ft drives.  The River is also a versatile disc.  For beginners, if you throw it straight and fairly low, it will keep a straight line with a slight, slight fade at the end.  If you throw it a little higher, it will still glide but fade at the end like a 2 or 3.  The high glide also has its disadvantages; the wind will push it around pretty easily.  As an intermediate or experienced player, the River will turn over on a full power throw.  I power it down to about 75% and it gives me exceptional tunnel throws--straight and low over 300ft.  I only throw the River backhand so I can't comment on whether its a good forehand disc or not.  I can only assume its not since is understable.

Overall, this is an outstanding disc that's easy to throw.  Should be a staple in everyone's bag.

The River is a disc that had to grow on me. I got one at one point and tried to like it, but it just didn't seem to do what it was supposed to do and I didn't understand the raving about it. So I got rid of it and we have to fast forward a year to when I found one on the ground. It was a beat in Gold Line River that had baked a little in the sun. I decided to throw it randomly and my God did that disc feel amazing. It did exactly what everybody said. I swear I could whisper to the disc and it would follow my command of what I wanted. This disc was the disc I had read about and was wanting. So yes, I highly recommend it. I know mine was beat in and had some work, but it feels absolutely amazing and I think that everybody should get one. I do not care for the dome on some of the plastics, so that was one reason I initially was hesitant about them, but I think the Gold Line looks and feels great, just find the one with the right amount of dome for you

I really wish I liked this disc. I've tried to like this disc. I don't like this disc.  The dome is too high, causing the grip/feel to be odd (I've only tried the goldline, which in all fairness isn't my favorite plastic).  I have one that is pretty stable and another that is pretty understable so it's hard to rate this one.  I wanted a really straight flier but this doesn't consistently meet that criteria. I will say this, it does glide for days.  I don't think I've ever thrown a glidier disc.

The River is an amazing choice for players new to disc golf. I regret not finding out about the River when I was learning how to play. My game would have evolved a lot quicker, because the River taught me proper form by rewarding perfectly flat releases that are much longer than flex shots with anyhzer release.

The River excels on flat throws at about 80% power for most players. Trying to crank it at full power does not get the River any further, usually resulting in a bad drive. Angle causes it to veer off its preferred line and doesn't have the same glide as a nice, easy, flat throw. This teaches beginners the proper fundamentals of disc golf.

The factory ratings are very accurate, however, weight and plastic type will cause slight variances depending on player attributes. Gold Line seems to have a tad more glide and beats in quicker, but Opto is more durable and retains out-of-the-box characteristics much longer.

Players of all skill levels can find a use for the River, but bigger arms would probably prefer something with more high speed stability. The River would make a great first driver or pair with an overstable fairway driver.

My Gold Line River has quickly become one of the most go-to discs in my bag. I first heard of this disc described as a "glidier Leopard", and I'd say that's pretty close. It definitely has LOTS of glide. It will just float on and on with surprisingly little effort. I'd say it's just a touch less understable than a Leopard (at least the DX ones I've thrown), but will fly a bit further with the same amount of effort. Definitely one the most controllable disc I carry. Great for hyzer flipping when you need a straight shot down a tunnel with little fade at the end, but it will also hold a medium hyzer line pretty well if you throw it on it.

I have both an Opto and a Gold Line River, and I find the Opto one to have a bit more overstability than the GL. The GL is usually my default to pull out of the bag, but I'll reach for the Opto if the conditions are a bit windier or I want a touch more fade.

First off, this can be a touchy disc for people who dont have a clean form.  It can be a good learning tool in that sense though.

That said, this disc bombs for a fairway.  The 7 glide is absolutely true too.  I bag a 2-3 of these - two GL and one Frost or Opto.  a lightweight 161g GL is US and throw for hyzer flips, or annys,  a 170 GL that is a dead straight lazer.  The Frost and Opto are both 172g and are a bit more stable than the others.  These come out when I need to know it wont turn at all, and finish just to the left.  The Opto and Frost dont have quite as much glide for me either.  When accuracy is my main concern, but I need to get way down the fairway still and either finish straight, or right (RHBH), I throw a River.

My favorite disc in my bag and can really do a lot depending on how hard you throw. will glide like no other disc espcially when doing uphill shots. tunnel shots are the best and will hold a good line for you.

First of all, Latitude 64 discs are some of the best looking discs on the market. Their gold line and opto plastics are awesome. I threw the river for the first time yesterday. I have only been playing for a few months and I primarily  throw an Innova TEEBIRD. That was before I found the river. This disc throws super strait with amazing glide and a very predictable fade. I think I have found my go-to disc, at least for a while. I am loving Lat 64 discs more every day. I believe this disc would be an asset for any level player. I love it!!

FUN DISC!!! net-neutral flight path. I agree that it's a great compliment to a Innova Teebird, or rather the Teebird is a compliment to the River. The River is a very versatile disc that can make all the shots. Literally, you can learn to throw all shots with this disc. It's not meant to handle a whole bunch of power or a strong headwind, but given the right hyzer angle, you can probably throw this disc in most condition and for most shots. I would say it would be touchiest throwing anything overhand, but even that can be figured out. Probably a go to driver for any beginner because of the straight flight and unbelievable glide. I'm just starting to learn hyzer flips and this is my fav to practice with, and is my go to on long tunnel shots because I can hyzer flip and finish with minimal to no fade.

IMHO the River is a must bag for all skill types. It's very easy to throw consistently when just starting out. The only problem is that I notice that when its beat in it tends to flip a lot. It also does this very easy with more power, but when you're used to it, it actually becomes very helpful in certain scenarios.

After the success of the Opto River (see it's review below), I acquired a 168 Gold Line River in burnt/dark orange.  It's a wee bit more understable than the Opto plastic, but still has given me that excellent River performance and gradually wore into a nicely stable/understable disc with awesome glide.

The Gold Line River is IMHO even better than the Opto.  The Gold Line plastic feels fantastic in the hands, even better than my former favorite, Innova's Star plastic.  Nice and firm, not too slick but not too gummy... ju-ust right.

Since the burnt orange color is not conducive to contrasting with the Autumn leaves, I acquired a 168g white Gold Line River.  Performs great helix shots and I'm just starting to get it seasoned in.  I really love throwing this disc in the woods on technical shots, especially uphill, where the glide really kicks in for me, but with just a bit of hyzer flip I can throw it on a frozen rope on very long upshots towards the basket, where it lands smoothly for me.  It takes strokes off my game and my core bag would not be complete without it.

Get this disc. Stop reading this review, scroll up, and buy this disc immediately. This is by far my favorite disc of all of my discs. This disc is my line-shaper, my hyzer-flip tunnel master, my go-to workhorse fairway driver. It does what I tell it to do, and treats me very well. 90% of the time someone tells me "nice shot", it's because I threw my River. Gold Line plastic looks amazing and feels even better, always retains it's shape and always takes a beating like a champ. One thing I won't agree with is the recent re-numbering of this disc. This always used to be classified as 7/7/-2/1, understable. Recently, since the Maul came out as more understable, they gave those number to the Maul and re-numbered the River as a 7/7/-1/1. I'll only agree with that when it's thrown underpowered. When I crank on mine, it easily gets that -2 turn as previously advertised. I love this disc, and would be much worse without it. Rivers and Envys are probably the only two I would get multiples of for the sole purpose of practice. Plus they're so fun to throw. Okay enough ranting, just get it.

The River is the butter to my bread, this thing glides just as much as it says, goes far with less power. Floats for days with more power. I got a light 165g disc and it just rides the air all day long and comes down nice and soft. It's equally great forhand, flight pattern is a little different but this disc is veresatile given there is enough distance.

I love this disc. Mine is 172g purple gold line.  It is a great fairway disc.  I am able to throw mine 300-350ft. with control.  For reference my furthest drives have been 390-410 with a beat in Nuke. It flies quite straight, depending on how hard you throw it there is some high speed turn, and very little fade. It glides very easily to stretch those controlled, straight drives. I will caution against using this disc in the wind though, probably due to the glide, but this disc becomes unpredictable in anything more than a slight breeze.

Top disc I find it to be very comparable to a mvp volt. I throw around 500 maxed out with a destroyer with the river I can throw it on a slight hyzer flip and let it glide for 350-400 consistently with a lot of control great disc will be a go to fairway in your bag

I love my River, perfect for straight lines or Hyzer flips depending on how much power you put on it. Takes some finesse to master it though, especially if you're a strong arm, so don't expect to like it right away. I just gave my broken in one to my wife about a month ago (because she kills it with it) and purchased a most badass opaque bright solid yellow one and it's actually a little beefy compared to my old one. Looks like I got some breaking in to do.

You don't have to give this one 100% power to make it fly straight.  It glides forever and has just a bit of fade at the end of the fight.  It's never not in my bag.

I love this disc! It is a perfect fairway driver for beginner or intermediate players. When I started with it I could use it as my main driver, and it visibly increased my distance and accuracy. As I have developed more power it has turned into a great understable fairway for right curves and hyzer flips. I would recommend this to anyone!

Another great controll driver. Is my gfs 1st true driver moving up from Mids off the box for her. While she doesnt have great d she almost can 275 with tjis disc. With the slowe arm she does get a lot of fade and finish left. When I snag this and bag it I get the lines advertised. Works well on a hyzerflip or flat with nice rt finish like the us fairways should. If I didnt have a fury and diamond id throw this alot more, but those two cover the lines I get. Great disc and maybe my prettiest gl I have. have picked another up in frost and find that to be much more stable than the gl. both are great discs but definitely different finish on the frost.

I just love the River for straight line throws. I don't even need to try and throw this disc hard, just a smooth release will make this thing turn slightly, and then go straight down a line with almost no fade. Very few fairway drivers have this little Fade.

So I'm new to disc golf I've been playing about once a week, but practice every day for a year now. Last year around this time I was shopping for a distance driver I spent lots of time doing research on what drive I needed to get. I really wanted to get a wraith but I ended up getting a flow. After throwing that I was coco fed that the glide of latitude disc is for real. Just before Xmas I was at my local shop and was talking to the owner about my bag. He is a huge Crystal FLX fan and I had a Nuke key word "had". He said what is it going to take to get this disc off you. I will give you any 3 discs you want off the rack right now for your Nuke. I said well I only throw this disc for a thumber and only throw thumbers like maybe once a round so sure I will trade ya. Guess what one of the discs was???? 175 Goldline River!! It now may be my favorite disc in the bag. The glide is for real. At %70 flys dead straight with little fade. Full power has a steady turn but don't flip over. Throw with Hyzerflip goes about 250 feet then turns for the next 75-150 feet. This is a must have disc for everyone's bag. Don't wait a year like I did get the river now and shave strokes off your game.

Do not let this disc fool you that it is a mid speed driver. When thrown for the very first time this thing kept up with all my speed 11 discs and shorter drivers. The maximum glide this thing produces is very noticeable right after you let go. With little to no fade out the river stays on line to help you with shots. What a fun disk for anyone to throw off the tee pad. I have the gold line plastic and love this disc, defiantly a permanent disc to hold onto for the next couple years.

This is the disc that started it all for me, so to speak. It's the first disk that I had researched and purchased with a specific purpose in mind. One of the first discs I started playing disc golf with was a seasoned DX Leopard. During the course of learning the mechanics of the sport, my beloved leopard was chipped, dinged, and warped into uselessness. I purchased a few premium plastic Leopards (Star, Champ and Pro) but none of them ever had the feel of the the solid and consistant flight that my DX leopard did. Once I decided to branch out, I bought the River (GL on a recommendation from a friend, and I was blown away. I've never had a disc that responds so well! It fills the slot I need it to (understable fairway: longish turnovers, hyzerflips, anny lines, etc), but I often find myself reaching for it on occasion when another disc would technically be a better choice. It just feels natural in my hand, and I can get it to do most anything I need it to. The only caveat to owning a river, is that you will find it a little sensitive to your release (angle, noseup/nosedown) and will respond to changes in your form. It's a little fickle in the wind, which can be a BIG DEAL in Oklahoma, but there isn't much outside a Trident type disc that will really handle a plain's headwind. All in all, the River is a wonderful disc, and I highly recommend it.

This has become one of my favorite, most used discs. My gold line flies very straight easily, can be turned if needed too. Like everyone says, the glide is for real, for me this disc feels natural and consistent. However, reach for a different disc in the wind cause it gets unpredictable.

One of the "must-have" discs for many, the River is a surprisingly straight thrower with a shocking amount of glide. Feels great in Gold Line and flies well for noodle arms. Stronger throwers may find the disc too understable. I agree with the first comment about not needing to give this disc 100%, and will add that it can be a bit touchy in the wind.

My current driver of choice, especially in the Gold Line plastic. Not only do these discs look AWESOME, they fly great. You can easily put the River on a variety of lines, and count on it to finish reliably every time. As an over 50, underpowered player, I appreciate the glide and ease of throwing straight that I experience with my rivers (169 & 170 gram gold lines). Consistent and predictable flight paths with extra 'run' at the end bring 300 foot holes into deuce range for folks like me. This disc has a comfortable rim, grip, and durability in GL.
