This thing just goes straight. Plenty of glide let's beginners get more distance while building up their arm speed. This disc quickly turned to my go to for distance shots, and was the first I ever threw over 300. Makes for a great first driver.

Have one in Frost plastic and it has a great feel but does not hold up well in the summer heat. Likely will be picking up another to so I can substitute based on temperature.

i got my first ace with this disc so i am partial to this disc. That being said i love this disc. The uses for this disc are vast. i prefer this disc in frost line plastic because it adds a hair of stability to the disc. If you throw this disc flat it will pull slightly to the right then come back at the end of the flight. the best way to throw the river is to put a small hyzer into the release and then just watch this discs fly lazer straight for 400 plus feet easy. This disc has the best glide of any disc available. This disc will glide so far that you might even over throw some baskets on accident.

Along with the Saint, the River has been a go-to driver for the last couple years. I've thrown Opto, Gold Line, and now Frost, and I've thrown 164 up to 175. This disc is just a dream to throw, easy to control, great flight which can range from a slow turn with a seasoned GL, to a super straight flight, to a s-curve machine with a heavy Opto or Frost. I can cover most of my drives with just Rivers, even mild headwinds. And that glide is something else. Great disc.

I have had three rivers now frost, opto, and gold line plastic. I absolutly love this disc and I really think everyone should have one of these in their bag regardless of skill level. It is a perfect complement to my tee bird as its easier to manipulate on an anney line. Further the glide on this is excelent I love how I can throw it very soft (40%ish) and it'll still go about 180 but does so slowly (so it won't bounce far off trees in those tight tunnel shots) and very straight. After having it in three different molds I gotta say the frost line has been my favorite as it has been the most consistent when I put power on it.

First Run Frost Line 168g. The river is a fantastic disc. It got me hooked on Latitude 64 and convinced me to try more of their stuff. The Frost Plastic (and the gold plastic on my other Lat discs) is absolutely amazing. Grippy, flexible. Really I'd consider both an upgrade from Innova's star plastic. The disc glides for miles and easily reaches distances that I used to only throw with my distance drivers. With the lower speed it's much easier to control and throw consistent lines with too. It makes a nice S curve when released flat that lands slightly left (LHBH) or straight in line with where it was released. It also holds a line when released with an anti all the way to the end, which is further than any other disc I've used to anti thanks to its massive glide. Overall, this is a great disc for beginners and more experienced players alike that continues to impress me every time I throw it. For shorter throws that are similar I go to the warship or pure. Longer fairway drives I go to the stag. This slots nicely in between. Also, I have had some of my longest throws with this disc during field work. The glide rating really is true.

I've been playing with my 172 brown Gold Line River for a few weeks now and I am absolutely blown away.  The glide on the River is INSANE!!  Even when I release the River low on a hyzer-flip, it just rises up a few feet and continues on a dead straight rope until it lands.  Easily my favorite disc in my bag right now and I keep looking for excuses to throw it.  I've been able to drive the River out past 400 feet without even maxing out on power.  Simply amazing disc that I would recommend to anyone.

One of my favorite discs right now. Being a player with a small arm I usually throw around 200, up to 250 on a good drive. My river always gets out to around 250 with great accuracy. I can throw this disc so much more consistent than the rest of my bag. Very predictable flight, great for a player of any skill level.
