Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discs with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff.

Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic. Discs in pro plastic tend to be slightly more understable than counterparts of the same mold in other premium plastic blends.

I found this disc at a local coarse and was very beat up which caused it to be more of an under stable disc but that's perfect for me because I can get a full s flight out of it and get tons of distance

Cheat codes.  My goodness, this thing in the pro plastic absolutely rips!  I have bagged a pro boss for almost 2 years now, and it is very beat up, but it flies like an absolute dream.  This is by far my furthest flying disc in my bag, as I tend to push tit 50 feet further than my others.  I have found that as the pro boss gets beat in, it just goes further and further.  I release this thing on a slight hyzer with full power for a flip up and it gently turns over just enough to get the butteriest ride.  Of course, eventually, the stability does its thing to bring it back for a slow and reliable fade.  Bottom line, if you can throw 350+ do yourself a favor and bag a pro boss.  Just ordered the Big Jerm tour series Boss and will do a review of it when it comes in.

For me the Pro Boss flies like a beat in Destroyer with a bit harder of a fade. I've seen some crazy shots with with a Blizzard Boss but this disc just wasn't for me.

I love how much glide this disc has in Pro plastic.  I predominantly throw this disc forehand, and with a flat release, it will turn up just enough to give me the distance I am seeking.  It will beat in pretty quickly and lose some of its overstablilty, but in my opinion, this is not a terrible problem to have.  I do not throw the Boss backhand too much, but I love the way it feels for my forehand.  If you are looking for a slightly faster Destroyer, this is the disc for you!

This was the first disc I ever bought because I was totally ignorant and assumed since it held the world record at 1108 ft then I should be able to get it at least 3 or 400. Lmao! Oh how innocent I was. I could not throw this thing more than 80 ft backhand, and basically chucked it like a baseball for 150-200 ft forehands. But I used it every round on every hole for a while until I started understanding the game better. That's when I put it away and moved down to slower speed understable discs for a few months.

Once I was throwing less beefy discs 300-350 consistently, I decided to break this beast back out and see what happened. I still dont have the arm speed for a full flight, but it is MUCH more useful now than ever before.

I can crank on this thing as hard as I want and it'll never turn over. It goes straight as an arrow for about 300' then fades forward for another 20 or so. On my hardest throws I'll get it out to 350-370 like my other go-to distance drivers, and it's great for windy days. Do not waste your money on this until you're throwing 350' consistently. It's a pretty good disc but it's nothing special really. Just beefy and fast so if you need something to fill that slot give it a try.

    Pro, 175 grams

Pro Boss boasts the same flights numbers as a Star Destroyer, +1 speed rating. Out of the box, it has a predictable flight  and finish on any line. Throw it flat and watch the full S-flight, Flex it with some anhyzer and it will finish just left of your target, put it out on hyzer and it will go far before finishing hard left with a big skip.

It does it all. Highly recommend for Advanced players and up.

I just love my R-Pro Boss...understable bomber deluxe...hyzer flip pretty straight... really feels like cheating...like a longer blizzard katana...but needs open space definitely...throws like a 500 ft beast

This thing in pro plastic is awesome! Hands down my longest disc. Plastic feels great and beats in quick. Get a couple of these in a rotation and they will hold stability for a good length of time. Totally worth the investment. Can't believe how long this disc is in pro plastic!

    Fast. Fast. And more fast.

Feel: This disc has a wide rim, and is also pretty tall, which combines to feel like a real handle that you can put everything behind. The dome is noticeable, but it isn’t really a pop-top, although I can imagine that there are some pop top bosses out there. This is one of those discs that fits perfectly in my backhand grip and gives me confidence it will get out there and go far.

Flight: This is a super fast, super stable disc. It fades (at my arm speed) for about 50% of its flight when thrown flat. This disc is great for headwinds, as it basically flips a little, but it has so much stability it just fades right out. This disc can also go super far when thrown with some anhyzer, to force a flex shot, and from there, the speed takes over and it just bombs.

Comparisons: This is pretty much the same disc as the Force for me. The speed, the stability, the feel, they are really similar. It is also like a slightly faster and more stable destroyer.

I've thrown this disc in Pro and in Champion plastics.

    Pro plastic:

This disc felt like a faster 4x McBeth destroyer. It was fairly beefy. On a 150m flat throw I got a minimal amount of turn on release and after that it got back to flat and glided straight with a nice forward pushing fade.

    Champion plastic:

This disc was slightly less over stable than the Pro plastic one I had. Almost like it was beat in already. It was full weight but flipped like it would've been 150g. I've noticed that the Innova discs I've had have been quite inconsistent when it comes to the plastics, which isn't all bad if you have a bunch of the same mold. But if you're trying to quickly replace that money-disc of yours, you might be in trouble.

    Conclusion:

All in all, not a bad disc. The rim is a bit too wide for my taste, but if you don't mind the rim, and have the near 150m (500feet) of power, it's a really nice disc. It's pretty 50/50 between this one and a beefier Destroyer.

This is the first disc I've encountered where it's meathookiness is limiting my distance with it (when it's designed for distance). I'm in love with my 172 Quasar and wanted to try a 168 Pro Boss knowing it's basically the same mold. I was hoping it would be a little more understable, but this thing is BEEFY. I took it out of my bag just to wait until my quasar really breaks in, because right now it's too overstable for Max D and I have my Firebird's that aren't going to be replaced. I think I'll really come to like this disc once it gets beat in more, but I'm a little surprised at how much of a meathook this is at this weight and plastic. FH, it's a little more more maneagable, but still not bag worthy when I have a similar disc that does the job better.

I've found the Boss to be a bit too unpredictable for my arm. I like the disc in wide open areas when I can truly mash a drive, but when you need to be more accurate this mold can turn too much when you don't want it to. The Boss is very fast and requires a lot of arm speed to get it to fly correctly. I personally don't reach for this disc over my Wraiths or Destroyers again because it's a bit unpredictable/understable in the pro plastic. I don't think it fades as much as advertised, but it can be a great flyer if you're looking for a max distance, open field driver.

My max distance driver. I carry a Pro plastic Boss that, when I throw flat, slightly glides to the right before smoothly fading left. I can throw this in the open or even down a more wooded fairway. Not necessarily for a tight tunnel shot but does not deviate from a straight flight very much at all. I also have a Star Boss that is much, much more stable. I cannot turn that thing over even at max power. Still a useful disc that I can get out 325'-350' that starts fading around 250' and does not turn over. Will always have a Pro in the bag.

I'm lucky enough to have one of these a local player gave me, it's worn in and pro plastic.  If I get a good rip on it, it will turn without me starting it on an anhyzer angle which is how I have to cheater throw it with my noodle arm.  The boss seems to get flippy when worn in which is good for someone like me, also for anyone who likes the feel and wants to cycle them as their go to driver.  They seem to wear in a little faster than a destroyer and maybe a little less consistent.

Forehand, this disc is very controllable.  A flat finesse throw will get a turning S curve that the boss is known for.  Max power throw will have it turning over the whole flight unless you get some air under it, then it will come back right at the end.

This review is for the Innova Pro Boss Distance Driver with a weight of 170g.

When I first purchased this disc as a noob, I was very disappointed, as I couldn't get the disc to do anything but immediately crash to the left as soon as it left my hand.  The more I have played, learned how to properly throw, and become a student of the game, the more I see I just didn't have the power to supply for the Pro Boss.  Now I keep my Boss in my bag for windy days and when I need something to fade left at the end, no matter what the conditions.  My Boss will always fade left, no matter what I do, I can take that to the bank.  I also like to use it for forehands, as it is heavy and overstable enough to hold a line before fading to the right.

The speed of the boss is a little much for me at the moment but I am not giving it a bad rating just because I have a weak arm. It is a very popular disc, one that I hope will work well for me in the future. Notrecommended for beginners or weak armed throwers.

I like to throw them max weight pro or star destroyers about 350 feet as my go-to. Does anyone know ifthe champion boss holds up to headwinds better than the max weight champ destroyer?
