Disc: MVP R2 Neutron Ion 173g

Feel: I love the way this disc feels in my hand. The R2 Neutron plastic is great, soft and grippy, but also durable! I’ve never had a putter that both feels comfortable in my hand for driving as well as putting. This is my first disc in this plastic, but it certainly won’t be the last. As far as the mold itself, it feels fine both backhand and forehand. I can’t really think of anything special or unique, at least off the top of my head when it comes to the shape of this putter.

    Flight:

Throwing: This putter flies very straight, has a slight turn, and a nice fade at the end. I personally get the most out of this disc when I throw it on a hyzer, and watch it flip up and fly straight. It glides very nicely, so you can get some good distance out of it, even though it is rather slow.

Putting: I’m a push putter, typically, but I also spin put every now and then. This disc works equally well for me. It comes out of my hand very smoothly and has a straight flight and small finish at the end of the put. It’s great for long putts it likes to go straight forever.

Overall: If you’re looking for a good putter that will hold any line, I’d grab an Ion or two. I love the feel of this disc, and the flight is beautiful. MVP has nailed it yet again!

This is my go-to putter. I spin putt and, with some spin, this disc will glide straight and true. It feels great in the hand with a slight bead. Hey the R2 plastic is also great. It's firm and durable like MVP's standard Neutron plastic, but with a little more tackiness. Great putter for spin putters!
