    Pro Details

Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discs with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff.

Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic. Discs in pro plastic tend to be slightly more understable than counterparts of the same mold in other premium plastic blends.

The Pro Wraith is my work horse. It doesn't have a hard fade like a new Champ or Star. The plastic feels great for backhands, not so much forehand, can't really explain why other then star just feeling better. I have own a Wraith in every plastic and Pro is by far my favorite and most used. Cool thing about the wraith is how much each plastic type changes it. Want a mild Wraith? G*. Want a spicy Wraith? Halo Star. I will say this disc will turn more than a star in a headwind. In Pro I rate it 11/6/-1/2.5 when compared to the others

The Wraith in Pro plastic is my personal go-to driver. I can't say enough good things about Pro plastic in general but even in an 11 speed the disc holds up and manages to give a more accessible Destroyer-like flight to Rec golfers like myself. Unlike DX, Pro will stay in one piece for a long time. Unlike star, even a modest thrower will notice some wear and seasoning in a reasonable amount of time. The Pro plastic in general tends to be more understable to start with as well. This disc is fast and somewhat stable. If you have the arm for it though, it goes forever.

Summary: It's a smaller rim Destroyer.

Feel: Pro plastic is kind of underrated in my opinion, maybe because it's so uncommon. Imagine the grip of GStar with the stiffness of DX. The plastic being a slight baseline, it's a bit taller than it would be in other plastics making it a bit more overstable at first.

Flight: The extra dome making it more overstable was definitely noticable. Also getting extra glide from the dome made it fly just a tad farther before it dumps out of flight.

The Wraith is my favorite driver of all time- Maybe my favorite disc of all time. I have had this in just about every plastic from DX to Star to Pro to Halo Star. I like it in the Pro plastic best because it flies true to the numbers right out of the box. With Star plastic, it has to beat in for a long time to get to that perfect S curve flight. Until then, it is a straight flier that will fade out early.

I feels like a destroyer that is more controllable and the flight doesn't vary as much as the Destroyer. Plus it is easier to get a Wraith to turn a high speed compared to its big brother.

I can get a slightly beat-in Wraith to fly 400-450ft if I throw at max power.

The issue I sometimes run into is that some are domey and some are flat. I like flat disc better for some reason, but the domey Wraiths have an insane about of glide to them.

I got a Halo Star Wraith because it a beautiful disc, but I couldn't get the nose angle down on that disc to save my life. I ended up artificially beating it in so that it became more usable, but I will never buy another Halo Star Wraith again. I think I will just keep on cycling Pro Wraiths until I get old and die.

Forehand thrower- My very first driver. 172g Very easy to find in the pink burst. Disc always flew out straight if let go flat and not over powered. Has quite a fade at the end. Ended up throwing this as a mid/driver after it being my go to distance driver for about 3 years. Highly recommend for a beginner-intermediate user.

Until recently, I had kind of poo-pooed Pro plastic because of its tendency to beat in quickly and make a disc--I thought--unusable.  Now, I love it precisely for this quality.  I was working on my high-speed driver game and had committed to learning to throw the wraith, since it seemed like its slower speed would make it easier to handle.  Plus, I conveniently already had two to work with.

I wanted a more neutral flier, so I picked up a 173-175g Pro Wraith, figuring it would be easier to throw because it's so grippy and was supposed to be less stable and beat in to be more so.  Plus, it was only 10 bucks.  Guess what?  I was right!  This thing is one of my favorite drivers to throw because the plastic is so dang soft.  I feel like I have so much control with this disc.

Started out flying like a seasoned star, but quickly became less so with a few tree hits.  Now it's flying more like a fresh Tern.  Thrown flat, it has a lot of turn (and will turn over in a head wind) but generally comes back, given time.  Therefore, when I need a controlled distance drive, I'll give this thing a little bit of hyzer and watch it flip up and still get a full flight.  I'll also throw it off the tee in a tailwind to compensate for the added stability.  I plan to work it in as my turnover driver when a Tern is just too flippy or risky.  It'll probably become my go-to flick distance drive for my noodle forehand that can't handle anything beefier.  I'll be getting a lot more of these.

Coming from a guy that throws mainly Destroyers, the Wraith gets overlooked. If you think that since the Wraith is only a speed 11 you can't throw it as far....think again! When I go out for field work my 175g pro wraith flies right with my Destroyers and the rest of my max D discs. As of right now, it holds my offical record at 462 ft.  They can range from OS to US, but Pro plastic is a safe bet for a intermediate arm.

I've owned many of these over the years, one just landed in my backyard. Its a good disc but if I had a choice between this and my Dx Beast I'd choose the beast every time. This disc just isn't as consistent as I'd like it to be.

I have a Wraith, Pro Plastic.  It is my max distance disc and it's very good on a forehand or backhand.  It is also a good roller disc and maybe if you have more arm speed it could be used for a hyzer flip or turnover.  I recommend this disc because it is overstable like a destroyer but doesn't quite finish as hard.

The Innova Pro Wraith is a great discs for a beginners first real distance driver to get maximum distance. As a younger player, this does that job perfectly. The Pro plastic is slightly more understable than say, star or champion, which makes the disc have more potential to get distance, and really helps beginners to get that distance. The 3 fade at the end really helps the disc to finish left (RHBH) or at least flatten out so there's not too much worry about going too far right (RHBH). The pro wraith I have is very floppy which I like the feel of. My friend has the same disc but it's much firmer, almost like a star wraith, which I also like. So you don't know what you're getting with this disc in terms of the firmness of the plastic. This disc is also great for tailwinds and downhill shots. Overall, if you're a beginner or younger player who's looking for a good stable to overstable distance driver, I would definitely get this. If you're more advance, it's still a great disc, but a destroyer or boss might go farther.

i avoided this disc for a long time because i didnt like the way it flew the couple shots. a nice man i met at a tourney told me to "give it another shot, beat it in hard, and you will come to love it", and he was riiiiiight. thank you to the kind man that i will likely never see again.

the turn rating is great for keeping the disc mostly straight for the bulk of its flight, and then it crashes pretty hard at the end.

i have found good use for this disc when i dont need max distance of the tee.

The Wraith is my most versatile and consistent distance driver.  I use a Pro-Wraith and it is good for low straight tunnel shots, drives in to the wind, and long gradual turns to the left (I throw LHBH).  My Wraith is so accurate, I only throw fairway drivers when the ceiling is extremely low or a tight turn is required.  Beginners will love the distance and experienced players will appreciate the Wraith's reliable flight paths when thrown at any speed.

The Wraith pro had a cool tye-dye to it, and the plastic felt really good in the hands. For me, the Wraith flew like a much higher speed Tee Bird, same exact flight path but just farther. It also seemed to stay relatively low on all my throws.

In pro plastic wraith becomes a hyzerflip cannon for an intermediate arm like mine.

beats in really quickly to be much more us than a star wraith.

Great soft feel in the hand

once beat in too much it becomes insanely touchy.

The wraith is my go to distance driver mold and in the pro plastic it makes a fantastic distance driver. I put the pro wraiths in when the weather gets cold and wet. The grip on these if amazing. When new they fly very similar to the star wraiths. They do beat in much quicker but then they become a perfect hyzer flip disc and a great tailwind driver. These are a must get for wraith throwers

I have been in love with this disc from the first time that I threw this one. I was concerned with the Pro plastic as I have always tended to buy and use the Star and Champion, but the pro brings a great flight that is consistent. I can throw this disc nearly the furthest in my bag and is slightly understable for me, but I have about 450 feet of distance on my drive. The full flight is normally one that I do not trust with other discs, but this one is one that I can trust when I had lost trust in natural flex shots. I definitely recommend this disc to all level of players. For beginners this is a great first distance driver disc that won't just fall out of the sky because of its stability. For advanced players this disc is a great one that will bring a full flexing shot and always have a consistent finish.

Trying out your first real high speed disc? This is essentially a destroyer for slightly smaller hands. You can throw all sorts of reliable shots with this disc. It will reliably fade left, can hyzer flip, but can also hold an anhyzer line for quite a while. If you are considering a destroyer but maybe don't quite have the arm speed, try out the wraith.

For my noodle arm this disc is pretty stable, even in Pro plastic.  I started using it as sacrificial disc for shots over short ponds at a local course, and i am starting to like this disc more and more. It is reliable.  In the pro plastic it is cheap enough if i lose one or throw one in the water it doesn't hurt the wallet much.  A disc everyone should try at some point.

I went to the local soccer field today to find out why I should be throwing Beasts, Terns and Valkyries forehand, instead of my trusty 175 Pro and Star Wraiths.  All started well with the Wraiths flying straighter and further than the understable group which I threw at 70% of the Wraiths.  Maby loosing 25' to save some arm might be a good trade-off on some days should bag these understable discs?

On the set of second throws a headwind kicked up and the understable discs all became rollers no mater what angle or direction I threw them into the wind, they rolled all over the field.  Next I threw the Wraiths with my usual anhyzer flex shot, and watched in dismay as the first Wraith started to go vertical.  The next instant it flipped up flat and flew a beautiful flex shot into the wind.   I was amazed how it fought back popped up and flew.    I was able to repeat that throw with my 175 Star Wraith with the same results.

The Wraith is a wonderful disc to fly and does what you ask it to do.  You can flex it through tunnels at half speed, or throw it flat and straight in wider gaps, flick it downhill or uphill with great results once you master the best angles and release points which are easy to find with some diligent practice sessions.

The Wraith is an amazing distance driver for arms that might not quite be able to manipulate a Destroyer as well as they'd like. It's overstable enough to give a reliable and consistent fade, but easy enough to turn that intermediate players can get a good flex with it.

I bag two, one 167 star and one 175 pro. The pro version flies much more understable than the star and glides for actual days. I threw one last week and I'm still waiting to see where it'll come down.

This is one of the most underrated discs in the Innova lineup.  While everyone wants to throw a Destroyer like Paul, pick up a Wraith and watch it do what you wanted the Destroyer to do.

I found one of these in g-star plastic and didn't think much of it until I started throwing it. I has really nice glide and distance and is very predictable on it's fade. It quickly became my everyday driver as it has been very effective on about all driver shots. It's just a super reliable disc that is very trustworthy in windy conditions or non windy conditions. I can't stress enough how much I love this disc. I recently found another wraith in pro plastic that I haven't thrown yet but I'm willing to bet it's going to be awesome.

This is a very easy to throw disc that has a strong fade at the end but will continue to go forward through the fade. This is a long disc that when thrown flat has a nice s curve and will finish left for the right hand backhand thrower of the original throwing line

Most stable fairway drivers are pretty similar to me, it's just a matter of shape and comfort in the hand. The wraith happens to be the one I've found fits my hand best. I have one in Pro that's beat it for turn and distance, and another in GStar that is currently a hyzer disc. Try them out in person if you can, because the amount of dome changes how it sits in your hand. I recommend the Pro plastic, lots of grip though it will break in quickly.

This is my go to distance driver. If I am going for any type of shot between 275 and 350 chances are this is the disc I'm reaching for. I can make this disc go on any line I want it to go on. This disc with a little bit of hyzer will flip up and go dead straight or maybe a little turnover and then will finish back left. This disc is great for low ceiling shots. Instead of trying to power a fairway driver you can bring out the wraith and expect it to do almost the same thing that a fairway driver would do just with the extra distance.

I have 2, one is 171 in Pro. The other is a 139 Blizzard. The Pro I go to for slight turn and a predictable fade. The Blizzard is super flippy but flies forever. The first time I threw it was on an 350 ft uphill shot. I usually only make about 275 up that hill, but this time I reached the top. I spent 10 minutes looking for that disc because I lost sight of it behind some trees. I like the distance I get with the Blizzard but I find it too unpredictable. I'll stick with the Pro.

I have this disc in the pro plastic. I got it because its cheap, and on one of my local courses there are some long water holes. I didn't want to lose my 20$ disc in the water by trying to smash them all the way to the hole, so I bought a wraith. I was surprise by the understability. I suppose this is because if the type plastic I bought. Nonetheless, I don't mind it, it was actually a pleasant surprise. Don't be afraid to get the pro plastic in this one.

I agree with everything Jason has said. Too many people try and throw speed 12 and 13 discs when they shouldn't. I always have a Star wraith(or two) in the bag at all times. The Discraft Surge is also very similar and I have gone back and forth between the two. A Pro-Wraith was the first disc ever I threw over 400ft
