This is my favorite disc.  When new it's like a slower more controlable Destroyer, but beats in for a more straight pushing disc before it's fade.  I keep a few DX Wraiths in my bag that I've had for years and is beat to pieces but because of this they are now dead straight discs with a little hyzer with no fade, or if I throw them flat they have a great turn for a turnover disc now.  Keeping those DX discs and a few Halo Star's in my bag lets me have multiple shot shapes with the same mold.

This is a great S-curve control driver. This is one disc I feel comfortable putting "my all" into and trusting the flight. Yes, it is softer plastic and thus has some good grip. I have hit a few trees and feel it flys accurate. I showed this to one of my friends and after throwing it a few times, he immediately went online to purchase in DX plastic.

My recommendation is to avoid the DX Wraith at all costs. I have had 3, and each one has gone from 0 turn to -4 turn in the span of six outings. There's a hole on my home course where the right side goes off a steep cliff, and every time I venture down there I find a pile of DX Wraiths whose owners had overestimated the stability of their disc. Who could blame them? It was barely turning the last time they went out! The lighter weights (<160) go through this process even faster-- the only DX Wraith I currently bag is 155g and it's my roller disc.

For faster arms, Star Wraiths seem to fly super nice, maybe a bit more overstable than numbers would indicate, but mine is a little too overstable to be much more than a utility disc or something I throw on a steep anhyzer to try to throw further than I should.

I think the Wraith is a great disc when you can throw it 350'+. However, it's a bit of a misleading disc for beginners when the base plastic and cheapest version of it becomes something that even the noodliest of arms can flip over without much effort.

Got my first ace with this disc. It's one of those discs that work great backhand or forehand. Even in DX plastic this disc goes far. My favorite version of this disc is gstar though. I like the added grip and durability.

I have a dx wraith in my bag right now and it's my main bomber. Its pretty beat up and more understable then before and I love it. As a beginner I can consistently get 225-250 with disc and it feels like 400 for me. It handles anhyzers very well and has a nice predictable fade. Highly recommend for newish players.

This disc in the 125 weight added about 30' to my range (previously 300') while being quite straight and predictable, just throw it flat and it goes straight.   I find it fades even less than rated, which is pleasing to me.   What's not to like?

The Wraith has been my favorite driver for years. I don't have great arm speed, but I have found that I am able to get more consistent distance with my DX Wraith than with any other disc. If I ever have an open drive and it's not crazy windy, I am sending my wraith. As a RHBH driver, I also find that I can really trust the consistent fade as well.

I let a friend borrow my Wraith one time, and he threw it in a pond. I then suffered through for a while without one and didn't really realize how much I was missing. However, once I purchased a new one, I realized on the first throw how much I had missed it.

I love this disc on of my most reliable discs. It flies pretty straight for me. When I need to throw something over 300 ft this is my go to. I mainly throw it backhand off the tee.

First disc I ever bought (I was a teenager and picked purely off of look). I really enjoy the disc, although looking back, I'd never recommend it to a beginner. Certainly the type of disc that requires a bit of knowledge on proper throwing technique. But in DX, it isn't the most unforgiving disc.

In the DX plastic, the numbers are so off. Comparable to other -3 turn discs I've thrown. If you rip it on a huge hyzer angle it will not only flip up to flat but also burn out via turning over.

Given Flight numbers are exactly right! for Star plastic. Have not tried anything else yet. I have seen G star fly, they seem less stable for sure.

It glides even better than expected. The flatter the disc, the less stable it is out of the box.

Recommended to arm speed that can typically not get your destroyer-like disc over 330 feet, but looking for extra distance. If you can get to turn you-ll get 400 feet out of it soon. Good glide and hard finish usually. More dome ones are quite over stable for average arm speed tough.

If you star destroyer is too much for long distance try the Wraith

Attention to everyone who is like me who has heard about how great the destroyer is but struggle to throw it sometimes because of its high speed: give this disc a try. It has the same flight characteristics as a destroyer but with 1 less speed. I know, the drop off of 1 on speed does not seem like it is enough to make a difference, but it truly is for me whenever I learned to throw this disc. Of course, the dx plastic will probably be the easiest to throw for beginners, but I picked this up in champion plastic and star plastic throughout my career and enjoyed this disc, finding it easier to throw than the aforementioned destroyer. Both of my wraiths have been at 169 grams, which may have helped in the fact that they seemed easier to throw than the destroyer. The flight is consistent and overstable and it excels especially in forehand shots and flex backhand shots, which allow them to get their max distance for me. This disc not only feels great, but performs great for me.

I struggled with higher speed drivers like all beginners. Many were meathooks and if not they had to be so flippy that the flight was too wide and hard to control to really use other than out in a field.  Got to the point where i just said F it and took everything out of the bag and just used my teebirds and eagle off the tee.

I just got a few cheap DX Wraiths to practice with and one Star Wraith for my bag. Finally I have a driver with a more reliable flight path. My 2nd shot was a near skip ace on a hole I've never been able to reach the circle on before. It's usually into the wind so if I tried to throw one of my flippy drivers i usually ended up way right.

Feels great in the hand, manageable turn at my arm speed (~330-350'). Fresh  DX turns a little more than star, but both reliably fade at the end.  Mine are 167g.  If you can throw a fairway 310' comfortably like me then give a Wraith a shot.

Just got this disc and I am so impressed with it. I was hearing so much about the wraith I had to get one. I does exactly what the flight path shows above. Flips up to a little anhyzer stable out finishes with nice little fade. For the first time using the wraith I shaved off 3 strokes. Also added about an extra 50-75 ft for distance. I am not a big thrower, but it make looks like I am. This disc now lives in my bag. I will be getting 2 or 3 more. Highly recommended.

let me start off by saying when i first bought this disc i hated it with a passion. i couldnt get it to fly straight to save my life. but after it had started breaking in it started to become my absolute bomb dropper. before it started breaking in i could throw it on the biggest hyzer known to man, just to try to get a hyzer flip to straight. but it would flip over and turn away and it would be bye bye and good luck finding the disc. luckly i have this disc dialed in to where i can put it on a hyzer to flat line and it will sore to about 425 easily with a lil bit of a turn to fade. all in all the wraith is my bomb work horse. love throwin it on tunnel wooded holes. works great for a roller and thumber shots.

I had to update my review on this disc. I have it in 158 grams in DX plastic. This disc had ended up in my trunk for awhile, but after some unsuccessful rounds with another disc, I got this one back out. I am so glad that I did! A few great throws later this is back in the bag! I may get one a bit heavier as there was one that I turned over a bit too much, but overall most of the throws went just where I wanted them. A great disc!

I tried really hard with this disc and wanted it to work. This disc is responsible for showing me how much fun disc golf can be! I hadn't thrown a really long drive yet, then all of a sudden this thing flew out of my hand and landed about 400 feet later! For me though, I just wasn't able to get a consistent flight. Perhaps it's the DX plastic or the fact that mine is 150 grams, and I am now throwing discs much harder. One thing that I never got past though was that I don't love the feel of this disc, it just doesn't feel great in my hand. I may try it again though.

I picked up a dx plastic Wraith as my first driver (which I wouldn't recommend unless you have a decent arm to start). When thrown properly will turn a touch right, fade left, and pick up some pretty good distance. My wraith eventually did break at the rim from all my early tree hitting days, but I definitely plan on picking up another one of these in star plastic when I get the chance!

Picked one up on a whim from a local store at 174g. At first glance I thought "Oh, it's a slower Destroyer." Well, it's just that. If you don't have the arm for a Boss or Destroyer this is the next step down. Having thrown it's 2 faster brethren I can say this disc is more newbie friendly but you need to have the arm speed and/or some semblance of proper throwing form. As I have two star Destroyers the Wraith was given to a friend who was throwing it well until a nose-up and faded hard into a lake. All in all, A good all-around disc, beginner friendly to a degree and works for most if they don't want to jump up to Destroyers and Boss.

Just took it out for a couple throws and really like it! Longest measured throw for me so far, and this is the highest speed disc I have. I've only been throwing discs for about 4 months now, but I can tell that this is a good addition to my bag. Just a little turn and nice finishing fade.

Solid disc, but inconsistencies in manufacturing is what gives it a lower grade for me. I had one that I really liked, lost it, and when I tried to replace it I could never find another one that had the same flight characteristics as my original one and that drove me crazy and has really turned me off a lot of the innova plastic.

This is the distance driver I would recommend to a beginner.  Buy 10 from the "Innova factory second store in DX plastic".

It is going to hyzer on you for the first year you throw it.  That is fine.   Keep them in your bag.  When you can throw this disc strait, you have *leveled up*.

6 month progress:  You have beaten in 3 DX Wraiths.  Now you have a wraith that is understable, and one that flys strait (stable).  This is a good time to evaluate the midranges in your bag.

12 month progress:  You throw the inital 10 Wraiths.  You have 6 wraiths in your bag.  2x of each OS/S/US.

Very good disc if you have the arm, in my opinion. I bag one currently for certain shots when I need a less stable disc. Without throwing it hard i can get a fairly nice flight with a fair amount of fade at the end. However, I have found this disc a little less forgiving than other discs such as the Valkyrie or a Leopard, but it does reach farther than either of the aforementioned discs. All-in-all, a good disc for distance, but only if you have an arm to get it out there. It is also a good disc to give you that extra amount of lefthand fade (RHBH throw) when you need it. The flight numbers are there if you can yoke it out there, which is a reoccurring theme with this disc I cannot stress enough.

I owned 2 dx wraiths when I was a beginner player. It is an awesome disc to really stretch out your distance after you can throw over 300 feet and start getting correct lines out of drivers. The rim is comfortable and this disc simply eats up distance.

I love the wraith but the reason I give 4 stars is it is not very beginner friendly it is a  good disc once you get a faster arm it is awesome but this was my first disc as a 11 year old kid that had a weak arm and this disc was a bad choice and now. Have a faster arm it is a awesome disc but I do not recommend geting it in dx is a weak plastic that gets dents easily

I can't seem to figure this disc out. I bought a DX Wraith this afternoon and went out to a field to throw it and learn it. As you read the following, please keep in mind that I am not an expert. I am an intermediate player at best and I'm still learning about the more detailed particulars of what affects disc flight. The first couple of throws were pretty good, though for some reason they finished smoothly to the right. As a RHBH thrower, I couldn't understand this. Even when put on a hyzer flip, the disc always wanted to finish to the right. There were times when I did griplock it, but those always resulted in a little OAT and a hard turn that resulted in a roller, very different from the throw I described above. I don't throw with a lot of snap--enough to put understable discs on a hyzer flip, but not enough that I can throw a straight-to-stable 11-speed driver and have it finish smooth and flat to the right. The DX I got does seem a little domier than the most, so I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it. I don't hate the disc--once I had it figured out I could put it on a really smooth hyzer flip and it just flies dead straight with little to no lateral variance. I'm confident that I can put this through a nice, long tunnel. I was pretty pleased, though I am wondering if I wound up buying an oddity. If so, I'm definitely going to treasure this disc as it's the only driver in my bag that performs this way.
