    169 F2 Star Wraith

It took me a while to try it, but I am glad I finally did. Currently, it is my most reached for distance driver (RHBH). Although it is not my longest driver (very close), the increased accuracy over that disc causes me to turn to the Wraith more often. The flight is great for me as I usually throw 280-340. When thrown flat, it has a small turn and reliable and dependable fade. It can handle a decent amount of wind once you familiarize yourself with the disc as well.

As we all know, some discs become comfortable to us. These are the discs that we turn to when we need to make a good shot. This is my comfortable distance driver. My mind is typically at ease as I throw it. I also have it in Pro and G Star, but haven't had much time to practice those yet. Can't wait to try. Overall, I think the numbers are spot on. In a world of limited supply for discs, so glad this one is easy to find.

    I carry three: 171g Star, 173g Pro, 175g DX.

In Star plastic, this disc flies exactly as you would expect given the flight ratings. Thrown flat and hard, the disc will turn slightly and have a consistent fade every time. I use it when I have room to use on the right side of the fairway but want the disc to land straight in front of the teepad 325-275ft, or for uphill shots that I the disc can go left. Although it says the glide is 5, I find that I can still trust the disc in windy conditions. It will skip in the Star plastic.

In Pro plastic, I find it flies straighter but still has a pretty consistent small turn and less fade. I'd say the ratings are closer to 11/5/-1/1.5. I use it for straight tunnel shots in the woods 325-350. It doesn't seem to skip as much as the star plastic.

In DX plastic, the disc is understable right out of the box. I have to throw it at 75% power or less; if I don't, it turns right into the ground. Still, my hand is very comfortable with the mold and the grip is great with the DX, so it is useful for powered down shots, standstill hyzer-flips, big anhyzer shots, and rollers. If it is raining or snowing, I find myself using this disc. (Also, if I playa round with newbies and they want to try to improve their distance, this is a good disc to loan).

The Innova Wraith is another disc I have recently added to my bag, that the more I throw it the more I reach for it. I have the Wraith in Star plastic which to me is the perfect combination of grip and durability in the hand. In the Wraith I feel like you have such tremendous distance potential, for me distance comparable to the Destroyer, however without needing to throw the disc with 12 or 13 speed power. Because I am disc-ing down I feel like I gain a ton of control on my throws with the Wraith.

The Wraith has tons of glide and a bit of mid-flight turn which again help make it a little easier to throw, however maintains enough fade at the end of its flight that I can trust the disc to come back as well as into a wind.

Forehand throws are not my strong suite, but the Wraith fits well into a forehand grip and again I feel like I can coax way more distance out of the Wraith compared to the Destroyer on forehand.

For those who are looking for a distance driver, but are uncertain of moving up to something like a Destroyer I would highly recommend checking out the Innova Wraith!

Wraiths have been my go to driver for the past year. I play 1 or 2 rounds a week so I'm well acquainted with these discs. I have one in champion, star and pro plastics. As expected, the champion is the most stable and the pro is the least stable.  The difference in the stabilities isn't huge though. The pro is pretty beat in but will still finish fading left on a hard 370' RHBH throw with a little hyzer. Into a headwind it will turnover. I don't forehand the pro but I do forehand the champion and star. The star took a few months to beat in and become more mellow but it's still overstable.  I can get it to turn with 380' of power but it always finishes left. I live and play above 5000' so that makes all my discs more stable. Great disc and I liked how consistent this mold is across the different plastics.

The Star version of the wraith is amazing. It flies straight for so long before it fades hard. This disc is great for any level of play.

The wraith is one of my favorite discs. Comfortable in the hand and consistent. Once it breaks in it can hold any line you put it on. It's a cross between a tern and a destroyer. Like the destroyers little brother. Don't sleep on the wraith though. It can get some major distance. In fact its a go to distance driver for many top pros.

This is an amazing disc. I carry four of them in my bag in different plastics and weights. I love to use this disc as my go to distance driver. It handles the forehand and backhand with equal enthusiasm. If I had to play a round with only one driver, this would be the disc and the plastic would be Star. The one I carry is actually a Star X-Out and I love it. The star plastic feels gummy in the X-Out and you can really press your thumb into the disc as you want to make sure your grip is solid for the flick. I will say that it can turn over on me if I put too much sauce on it but it is not easy to do. I have a big arm for a beginner (so I have been told). I almost got my first Ace with a Champion Wraith on a 325-foot hole with a flick. Sent it out on a line that was 20 yards from the basket and just watched that reliable fade pull it into the top of the basket. Four inches lower and it would have been money.

Picked up a Jesse Weese signature series wraith that was misprinted and i tell you what it by the far the farthest flying disc I've thrown consistently. I love throwing wraiths mostly because I don't quite have the arm for destroyers but this wraith in particular goes farther than any destroyer I've thrown including Avery Jenkins destroyers. Out of the box mine had a good amount of high speed turn due to what I believe to be the actual color of the disc which mine is blue and I have a white infinite bomber stamp wraith that is very overstable not a bad thing by any means but I thought everyone else should be aware of it. Love the disc and hoping to pick a few more up when they misprint a few more lol.
