The roc is THE midrange. If you haven't tried one you aren't really into disc golf. The roc3 is the best of the roc family.

The roc can take the wind more than any other mid on the planet, and will never be replaced as the best. It's the first midrange anyone should have (in dx) and the one you'll find in every pro's bag (any and all plastics).

The only downfall this disc has is that it doesn't feel as good in the hand for many people throwing forehand. This is because of the aggressive concavity of the underside of the rim, and the large bead on the rim. This concavity/bead is what gives the disc the wind fighting, consistent flight. For me personally, I don't throw as much forehand, and when I do, this disc actually feels fine to me.

This disc is surprisingly overstable considering that it is in gstar plastic. Overall it is a really great disc,I like it for mainly longer approaches that glide, and finish left. I do bag a discmania md5,and I like to use the roc3 for an md5 type shot with more distance.

I haven't used this disc as much as I thought I would. It lacks the firmness of the champion one that I like for my forehands. Might revisit but the champion just feels different

Great disc, a staple in my bag. I also have the roc3 DX/Champion/Metal Flake/GStar. The star and gstar are by far my favorites. (RHBH) Anytime I want a mostly straight flight around 200-300ft, with some decent hyzer fade at the end, this is my go to. The more hyzer, the harder the fade at the end, also fights wind very well. Overall a predictable and easy to throw disc.

This is my favorite disc in my bag. I have it in both Star and GStar. I am a big fan of the flat-topped "3" discs in general. The profile fits my hand very nicely. Both plastics are great, though I like the GStar just a bit more for this one. I find this disc to be very versatile. It is easy to throw it dead straight with just a bit of predictable fade at the end of the flight. The Roc3 holds a hyzer line very nicely, as well.

I use this from the tee on short or tightly wooded holes, as well as most typical mid-range duties. I think it is a bit too fast for use on approaches, though it can be used in a pinch. I usually turn to a KC Pro Roc for that.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a first disc, but I took to it instantly after only having played a couple of weeks. I highly recommend you pick one up and give it a try.

Great disc but the fade is not as much as advertised. My VROC seems to have more fade at the end than this disc but I do still like it. It's pretty decent in the wind but if I need it to go around things I have to release it with a massive low hyzer. It seems to shine on anhyzer throws as it feels like it straightens out nicely at the right time.

I bag 2 GStar 180 (one I've beaten in/had forever, and a newer more stable) and a Star 180 (overstable).  Only mids I use.  My beat in GStar Roc3 flys straight and will turn over.  I love this disc up to 300 feet.  Tendency to finish left when new, and will hold a straight line once you beat it in.

The roc3 is a great mid range disc. It flies very straight with a good fade at the end of the flight. I throw it when I need a good disc to hyzer around some trees. The one I have is 180 g so it cuts through the wind pretty well. I wouldnt say this is extremely beginner friendly, but once you have some time in and know how to predict the flight pattern this is a must have.

I really like my GStar Roc3. If I'm going to drive with a midrange that needs to fade left, this is my go-to choice. It flies super straight with a predictable fade finish. With its speed, I can throw this disc harder than most of my other mid-ranges without flipping it. I wouldn't suggest this disc for a brand new player, but once someone has some experience you could certainly add it to your bag and I'm sure you would like it. McBeth tends to throw champion versions of this disc as well!

Absolutly love my Roc3, it's a great disc that floats forever. I bought this to replace my Buzzz (my favorite mid-range) and it is doing a terrific job so far. Gotta have one of these!

Really like this disc so far. Great feel. I'm not a sidearm thrower, but I threw a couple of outstanding approaches forehand with this thing.
