The Deputy is a new putt and approach disc from Dynamic Discs. This putter has a more shallow rim and understable flight path. You will find it to be a very straight-flying putter within the circle. The popular disc golfer Paige Pierce uses this for her close putts.

This is my second most used throwing putter.  I love throwing this disc, it has a very nice gentle turnover when new and if in a stable plastic like moonshine can be very straight.  I also putt with prime deputy's, like most of the trilogy line discs, the prime or prime equivalent discs are much flatter than most of the others.  Great backhand approach disc because at slow speeds, it holds whatever angle you put it on.

Feel:  Slight dome in premium plastics, rounded edge, medium to shallow depth depending on plastic.

Flight: Slight turn overs, wouldn't throw in head wind, great for a beginner that wants to have a nice floaty straight putter.

This is my favorite disc to throw in my bag. Here's why:

    - Decent glide, but not so much that you have trouble controlling distance
    - In lucid or moonshine plastic, not as understable as the numbers indicate
    - Straighest flying disc I've ever thrown
    - If thrown with a touch of hyzer it doesn't flip or fade.
    - Several times i've thrown it with what I thought was too much hyzer only to watch it just keep flying straight *while still on a hyzer angle* but it just simply ignores angle of release mistakes.
    - Does not turn fast at all, so If you give enough air under it when you throw an Anhyzer, it will just very slowly drift right
    - This disc reads your mind
    - This disc does your laundry
    - It walks your dog
    - It notices when you get your hair cut

Best throwing putter you can throw if you are looking to improve your form. I can get this out to 300ft now after struggling with it at first. Definitely a frustrating and touchy disc at first but well worth the investment.

This is far and away the most understable putter i have ever thrown. that said it along with the patrol, are a huge factor in my current form adjustment. initially i hated this disc because i was overpowering and strong arming every throw. in doing so I could not get this out farther than 150 feet and on a very flippy flight. I can now throw this on a smooth hyzer out to 275 or so with enough height. thrown flat it needs powered down to fly straight, with power it goes right. this can be be super versatile if you take the time and invest in playing with power levels and angles

I purchased a lucid deputy because I had heard so many times that it was like a swan 2. I always loved the idea of having a premium plastic swan 2, so when I saw they had lucid deputies I snatched one up ASAP. My first impression when I got it was that it didn't feel anything like a swan 2. The rim is much smaller and the profile is a lot domier compared to my swans which are mostly flat/concave. When throwing I found them to be nothing alike either. The deputy just floats in the air and loses speed fast dropping it to the ground quickly. I'm used to getting my swans out to around 280, but the deputy fell flat to the ground around 200. This is the first putter I actually thought was slower than advertised.

I will personally be working more with this disc to see if it has a place in my bag, but for now it will be dormant while my swan 2s are in the bag.
