The Deputy is a new putt and approach disc from Dynamic Discs. This putter has a more shallow rim and understable flight path. You will find it to be a very straight-flying putter within the circle. The popular disc golfer Paige Pierce uses this for her close putts.

LUCID MOONSHINE PLASTIC - The Deputy is my main putter in Classic Blend plastic, but I wanted a Deputy in a throwing plastic that would be more durable. I finally found one in Lucid Moonshine, and let me tell you this thing is amazing! It's far less understable than the Classic Blend version but when you throw it hard, it will give you some turn and hold that line with plenty of glide. When put on anny, it won't just turn and burn and cut roll like a Classic Blend will when put on hard anny. This disc is great for touchy shots in the woods, and for tunnel shots that are under 250'.

My only complaint about this disc is that it's so domey compared to the Classic Blend. I prefer the feel of a flat disc and the Lucid Moonshine is very domey. Other than that, I love this disc.

I just threw my first ace with it last week during a sanctioned league round and won $86 with it. So there you go. It's made me money!

    175g Classic Blend Deputy.

After several years of trying many putter molds and plastics, the Classic Blend Deputy has quickly become my favorite putting putter. To me, it is very comfortable in shape and feel. In the Classic Blend plastic, it is a low profile (not as low as the Pure), flat topped putting machine. With the flat top, it still has good glide while being very controllable. Just mind the nose angle. I actually feel comfortable with it in winds up to 15 to 20 mph. If it's really windy, I just use my Gator.

The classic blend plastic is very firm, yet has just enough give to grab the chains.

I'm a spin putter and I've been searching for a putter with enough glide that I can run straight at the chains from about 45 feet and closer. I have never felt confidence from circle's edge like I do with my Deputy. This is strictly my putting putter and for longer runs where I am going for the chains. For longer approaches and short hole driving duties, I switch to my lucid plastic.

The classic blend plastic holds up well for putting duties and doesn't get torn up like many other plastics I've tried. After buying 3 of these to try out, I quickly bought 15 more! I never want to run out of these Deputies.

I love the Classic Blend plastic! If you are looking for a straight flying putting disc with good glide and control, try one or two of these. Maybe you'll buy a stack like I did.

Disc - 175 Dynamic Discs Classic Blend Burst Deputy

Feel - The deputy is a shallow putter without a bead. It feels good for both putting and throwing. The Classic blend plastic has a great blend of grip and stiffness.

Flight - For putting the deputy is extremely straight for almost the entire flight. For throwing the deputy is very under stable. You do not have to throw this disc hard to see a good amount of turn. It is a great disc to throw in the woods as it has a nice slow turn and holds the line nicely. I really enjoy throwing this disc on short technical holes or difficult upshots.

Overall - The deputy is a good tool to have in the bag as that very understable putter. I think a lot of players could benefit from having this in the bag.

This disc is fantastic. When I learned it was Paige Pierce's old go-to (it's not the inspiration for her new discraft disc) I needed to get one.

It flies super well, grabs chains, and is totally worth the money! At first my only concern was the understable value for turn - but it flies wonderfully.

Please consider this disc as your next putter. It's done wonders for me (I'm a month into using it)

This disc helped my game so much. The Dynamic Discs Deputy has minimal fade at putting speeds and a gradual, consistent turn when thrown for drives and approaches. Spin putters like myself will love its straight flight, and push putters will love its increased glide.

The Deputy is a very good and versatile disc for all skill levels in my opinion. It is my second favorite throwing putter (Zone first.) It is a shallow putter with the tiniest micro bead that you can't even really feel.

Classic blend plastic is my favorite base plastic for throwing from Trilogy, Classic hard is my favorite for putting. Classic blend is really grippy and a little soft, but nothing too soft. It starts off with a shiny surface but when it beats in it has a nice matte finish to it that just feels amazing.

The Deputy starts off at a pretty straight disc with a tiny fade at the end. Once it starts to get a little beat in it becomes such a good understable putter. When you throw it on a hyzer it will pop up to flat and go really straight for the entire flight. Throw it flat and it will hold a nice turnover without burning into the ground. It goes pretty far for a putter.

I really like throwing standstill shots with this disc. I throw it flat and a little softer and it will just go dead straight. I also use this disc for jump putts since it goes super straight for a predictable flight.

This is the best understable putter that I've used. Other understable options seem to just not feel very good in my hand.

The Deputy is probably in my top 3 favorite discs of all time, probably even my number 1. I've been in love with this disc since my very first putt with it at the 2017 Trilogy Challenge. I putted with Judges before that day, but since I'm a timid putter, my edge-of-circle putts would fade out right in front of the basket. With the Deputy's understability, I can throw them the exact same way, and they will stay straight until they smash the chains. I putt with 2 classic blends, and I use the 2017 Trilogy Challenge Prime Deputy for understable approach shots. I have a 2018 GBO Lucid Sparkle Deputy for straight-understable tee shots in putter distance, but that one is about to be replaced for the Moonshine Deputy to get that extra bit of stability that moonshine plastic brings because the Deputy can use all the stability it can get off the tee. I LOVE this disc, and I think anybody can find a use for it in their bag.

I've been playing a little over a year. I have bounced around from putter to putter. Anywhere from KC Aviars (For me personally these were a nightmare to putt with with the massive bead and too firm of plastic) to Judges. Nothing ever quite felt right until I picked up a classic blend deputy. The combination of the plastic along with the the beadless profile made things click. This putter is absolutely straight. Whether you spin putt or push putt, the deputy will find its way in the basket either way. On top of that, it's a very easy putter to throw too. I can get it out to about 260/270 without much any fade back at the end. It's that understable. If I try to throw it any harder, it will start to flip on me. It's not what the disc is meant for anyways. So if you are searching for a putter that holds a straight flight for those super long putts, the Deputy is for you. I already have gone back to my local store and picked up a couple used classic blend deputies because I know I have found my mainstay putter.

In short, this is a straight, fast, glidey putter.  It's great for controlled drives and long putts.  I found that I was making longer putts more often, but If I missed within 25', I would have quite the come-backer.  It's just fast and glidey.

The Deputy is a good putter, and I bag them as my putting putter. It's a shallow beadless rim with a flat top and comfortable rounded edge. It goes dead straight on putts within the circle. Outside the circle, if thrown hard, you may see a bit of drift to the right, and then a slight fade back left. But I usually see a straight flight and then it stalls out and fades left as it dies. I'd give numbers of 2.5 / 4 / -1.5 / 0

I'm a spin putter, and this disc has improved my putting game 100%. I'm a former Pure user and those feel like bricks to me now after using the Deputy.  These things glide effortlessly and are laser straight. I've never made more long putts than with the Deputy. I'm talking 80-100 footers regularly. No joke.

As a throwing putter, it's quite understable as you may have guessed. It does have an interesting flight though, as the turn to the right happens quite late in the throw. This makes it quite useful in tunnel shots where you need the disc to go straight out and then move right.  You may have to add hyzer as needed.  I dont throw it off the tee much, I prefer the Pure as a throwing putter. The Pure is awesome in that role.

The only other cons against the Deputy other than being too understable as a throwing putter is that it will get away from you and rise or turn in a strong headwind when putting, and I see more spitouts on hard thrown putts, especially in the Classic or Prime plastic.  I prefer Classic Blend.  But I still may get a spitout if I throw too hard - my spin putt has the disc coming in to the basket dead flat. Often it hits the pole and bounces right back at me. But these are minor concerns, as the increased overall accuracy is worth it.

    Try one out!

This is amazing. It's got a wonderful late flip if you dont have a good forehand They're my putting putters, and they hold any line. They fly dead straight forever.
