The Deputy is a new putt and approach disc from Dynamic Discs. This putter has a more shallow rim and understable flight path. You will find it to be a very straight-flying putter within the circle. The popular disc golfer Paige Pierce uses this for her close putts.

the idea of an understable putter was pretty interesting to me since i realized what that could mean for putting. this mold flies better than i imagined, and i'm in awe. feels great in the hand. blunt nose, but round and the rim feels mostly familiar (aviar-esque), except i think a hair shallower. been thinking about this disc since the trilogy challenge; finally picked one up and tried it out this past week. i've been using pures for several years now for throwing and putting; with the Deputy this past week, i easily made 10%-15% more circle1, 40%-50% more circle2+, and several throw-ins from 80'-100'. when putting, it holds the line just a bit longer before fading than most putters. it is very glidey, so headwinds can be tricky, but overall, makes putting need less spin and less power. i'll make at least 1 more putt a round that would have missed from not putting enough spin on the putt. the Deputy is a pleasure to throw, as it doesn't take much power or speed to turn it, and has a very gentle fade. thrown flat and level, it will go straight to 100', but will need a hyzer release to stay straight for anything further.

pretty sure anybody who doesn't have really powerful putts should try this disc for a few rounds. guaranteed to shave strokes, or greatly increase confidence, or both. be prepared to buy a bunch of new practice putters if you decide to give this a try... or you could stay jealous watching your friends discover it.
