The FD is truly one of the great straight-flying fairway drivers. This disc is perfect for straight line shots through low ceiling tree lines. As an accurate, smooth flying disc, the FD is a winner for beginners and pros. While the FD isn’t the fastest flying fairway driver, it does offer excellent glide, allowing it to rival your furthest flying distance drivers.

The Discmania made and Innova made FDs feel and fly similar, if not identical. When adding a review, feel free to comment your opinions on how they differ!

Having a higher arm speed, this disc was flippier than I was hoping for when I got it. Still, it is a great disc for beginners, and it is very rewarding when you throw this disc well. The only negative about this disc for me is the hand feel. It is very domy and stiff (at least in the c-line plastic), which is not very conducive for my preference of the way a disc feels in my hand.

175 gram Discmania FD C-line plastic. This is the new Discmania FD, not the old one manufactured by Innova. First the C-line plastic is more transparent than translucent and beautiful. If you order a brand new C-line FD, you might be hesistant to even throw it at first and risk scuffing and scraping it. But don't worry, it is also durable. Flight numbers are pretty close to what I have actually experienced. Its got significant glide but not noticably more than any other disc rated as 5 glide. It also seems to naturally turn a little when thrown flat at appropriate speed for a 7 speed disc. Mine is labeled 7 6 0 1 but 7 5 -1 1 seems more appropriate, which is not necessarily bad. It flies straight, hyzer flips, and is beginner friendly if you have a 7 speed arm. The only negatives are the FD is not great in the wind and Discmania's discs tend to be more expensive than many other options.

I received one of the new C-Line FDs in my players pack at a tournament. It was not what I was expecting. For me, it flew closer to my Votum. Which I'm not sure why it did. Mine was oddly overstable. It might just be something to do with the new molds Discmania is using, but the few molds I've tried in the new c-line have all been more stable than suggested. It's not a bad thing if you need that bag slot filled. The new FD feels really good and the releases are clean, but mine definitely always wanted to get back left (RHBH). It's a solid fairway for sure. The S-Line plastic may provide different results.

The C-FD is an unexpected bomber. These discs, for only being a 7-speed, are one of the farthest flyers in my bag. Usually pretty straight with a reliable stable finish, they are great for open or wood holes.

I have thrown both the old Innova run and the newer disc mania run and the old Innova run FDs are a little more stable but the disc mania ones for sure have their use in the bag. I would for sure recommend these to anyone looking to fill that straight 7 speed bag slot.

This disc earned a permanent spot in my bag today. I found THE shot that this disc can add to my game easier than any other.

This disc starts out slightly stable. When thrown flat it may turn or may just hold straight/fade. As it beats in becomes understable but not quite "flippy". In my hands it doesn't turn and burn. Thrown flat and hard, this disc pures that crescent moon fairway, gradually moving right before finishing left. It's the perfect amount for me: not too straight on flat and not too flippy. Can I hit that shot with a Leopard3? Sure but I have to get the angle perfect, thrown flat and it's in the trees to the right. You gotta have that shot in your arsenal and this disc makes that shot attainable for a new/intermediate player.

The new C line FD is a disc that took awhile for me to warm up to, but now that I have I really like it. The first one I threw had an awkward shaped dome and felt quite stable and didn't stay in the bag for long. On a whim, I tried another more flat one a few months later and started to love it. It is fairly stable, as others have noted, however this does not come at the expense of distance. On a flat shot, this disc will hold straight and slowly fade to the ground. On hyzer, the C line FD will hold the line. The reason why I like this disc is that it has some sneaky distance, and as it beats in it's been getting straighter and straighter.

Like others have said, the new C-line FD is more stable than the innova manufactured FD, yet still has good glide. The new C-Line is stiff yet grippy and holds up very well to wear and tear. These new FDs might just replace your trusty Teebird. I give the flight a:

I tried this disc out in the new C-line plastic that is being manufactured by discmania directly. The plastic looked very pretty and was quite stiff. Unlike the flight numbers suggest, it had no turn. It hyzered at medium speeds and held its angle at high speeds, and didn't flip unless i threw it pretty hard into a headwind.

Not what I was looking for...

*Before I start, I have to say that I think I've come to the conclusion that the FD just isn't for me. My hot-take is mostly based on a particular run, and your experience with this mold is almost totally dependent on that one factor. So be sure to take my opinion with a grain of salt!*
First off I was told about the FD being a super straight fairway driver, having lots of glide, and just a touch of flip-up. That description fit a perfect slot in my bag, but the FD that I found and purchased IS NOT that legendary FD flight I was told about. I possibly bought the most overstable flying FD in that store (also being max weight doesn't help)! My new, red FD basically flew like a Firebird. Beyond just the flight being a let-down, I realized that I genuinely just do not like the feel of the mold. This is coming from somebody that has discs from almost every company because mold shapes have never really bothered me too much, but this new c-line FD mold really isn't comfortable for me. I think it's a combination of the edges and how hard the plastic is. It virtually has no "give" in it at all, so you really feel those hard edges when you mash down onto it.

    The GOOD NEWS:

    1. After repeatedly throwing it into a tree (probably like 50 times) it has straightened out to flying like a Sexton Firebird, so it's a LOT straighter and usable now haha

    2. I found a disc that DOES fly like how I wanted the FD to fly, which is the Axiom Crave! It's absolute money so far.

    3. After seeing recently how my FD compliments the Crave and a couple other discs in my bag, I've decided to keep throwing it as an occasional, more stable, wind option. Left to right headwind? No problem! My FD will pretty much fly straight.

Obviously I'm not thrilled with my FD experience, but I'm definitely making do with what I have. Just make sure that you know EXACTLY what you're getting before you buy it!

New FD in the new C-line plastic feels very good.  Nice blend of gummy yet firm plastic.  The flight is very similar to the old C-line FDs, where it is very straight then a tiny bit of fade at the end.  Definitely more stable than the old S-line FDs.  Hopefully they bring back S-line FDs in this new mold.

This is my favorite fairway driver.

Hands down one of the best fairway drivers ever made. The feel of this disc in the hand is the most comfortable out of the dozens of fairway drivers that I've tried. When I grab it I feel like I'm ready to hit any line with confidence. As far as the flight, it is very nice and straight, glidey, and has a touch of fade, making for excellent versatility. Can't beat this disc for straight to stable fairway drives

Outstanding disc, I use this multiple times a round and hitting spots and lines I previously struggled with. I was skeptical to start, awhile back originally threw some late S line Innova runs and was unimpressed by the FD.  Was hesitant to get back in but glad I did, this new C line run and plastic are really what I thought I was getting the first time around, perfectly stable, workable, doesn't dump in a headwind, great glide, can get around corners but the glide lets it fly out further as it hangs on.  In 2 words, cheat code.

The FD is one of the best 7 speed discs on the market. I would consider it to be the second one that got popular after the Leopard but the FD is even more versatile and used by almost all players. I love the FD for flat releases where I can trust a bit of turn out of it but a nice reliable small finish to get back to where it started. It is an extremely straight flying disc when thrown flat and with hyzer just varies with how much it strays from the line. This disc when thrown on hyzer is magnificent, it flips up to flat and just glides for days. You can always expect a nice finish at the end of the flight with a hyzer release but it is not a massive amount that will be a problem. When you throw this disc on anhyzer you can expect a slow panning flight with a flat finish as it begins to fight out right to the end. I think any skill level will be able to throw the FD just not all beginners will find it to be as straight as better skilled players.

Just got my hands on an FD and I love it. The C-Line plastic is super durable and looks great. But as far as the flight goes, I'd say it holds true to the numbers. It's very straight, which is awesome, but the thing I notice the most is the glide. If you put a move on it, this thing will float, getting the extra feet you want. It won't bomb out on you. Great disc and can't wait until more are available.

    (C-Line, 174g)

The best way to describe this disc is a scalpel. Fresh out of the box it will hold a line laser straight and finish with a consistent but soft fade, no dumping over. Once it beats in, there is a nice amount of turn but no fear of being turned over outside of moderate headwinds. I rate the glide at a 5 instead of the listed 6, but I wouldn't say this is a negative. If I need power on dead ahead shots up to about 300 feet, this is my go to.

I bag two. One in a newer state to have a straight line and some fade, and then a beat in one for that nice s-curve and neutral stability. The new c-line plastic is incredible and is my 2nd favorite plastic (after Lat64's Royal Grand). It simply refuses to take damage. I skipped an FD off of asphalt and there was practically zero scuffing, just some black marks. I've also whipped it into trees within 100 feet and again, no noticeable scuffs. 10/10 durability. It also feels incredible.

Overall, I would highly recommend this disc to intermediate players. It will function well as a driver for beginners, but will be truly unlocked once you have a need for dead level shots in tight spaces.

I've left a review of this disc before, but I've had enough time to get used to this disc in the new blend of c-line and I love it. Though this disc has been a bit more stable for me than the old variation of it, it is still so very useful. There are still many relations to the old variation of the disc, but that is perfect for me to have a compliment to the old fd. A hyzer will flip up to flat and eventually fade. A straight shot may get a bit of turn but is so straight that it gives me confidence through any gap. Anhyzer releases will hold the angle so long with a gentle landing. I pull out the fd for most of my shots off the tee because it is so versatile and useful that I would recommend this disc to anyone as their first driver or next driver.

This is a disc that should be in every players bag. Whether you're a beginner looking for an easy throwing driver, or you're a pro looking for a point and shoot fairway, this is the disc for you. It just wants to glide. You don't have to have 400+ plus feet of power to get great distance with ACCURACY from this disc.

This disc is the definition of a point and shoot fairway driver. Dead straight, lots of glide, and will hold any angle you put it on but never to an extreme. Hyzer flips are pretty easy with both BH and FH, you can pretty easily force a little turn out of it, but it'll never burn over into a cut roll - this disc is definitely a workhorse disc, and a staple disc for anyone at any skill level! I would recommend this to absolutely anyone!!

The FD is probably one of the best discs for beginners. For a slower arm, this disc works wonders. You'll find that even though it's a 7 speed, you can still get some great distance. This disc can do almost anything you want; with power you can pull off long turnovers, big hyzer flips, or with a little less power, this disc is straight as an arrow with only a little bit of fade at the end. All in all, this is (in my opinion) the best fairway driver on the market.

Seems like there aren't any reviews for the New C-Line FD's made by Discmania (Flight Numbers 7 6 0 1), so I'll leave one for people to enjoy.  For reference, I've never thrown the Innova-made FDs, so I can't compare to those.

That being said, these new FDs are great. Pretty spot on flight when compared to the numbers, but a bit more turn than listed.  This is definitely a good thing, as it helps keep the disc flying nice and straight.  I have 2, one red C-line and one purple C-line, both 173 grams, and the purple is slightly more domey, and slightly more understable.  Great feel in the hand, fantastic glide, and true straight flight with a hyzer flip, or nice turnovers if you want it to.  Holds up and feels great to a forehand also, which is what really made me pick it over the Eagle-L I lost and replaced with these.  Can't recommend it enough, it'll find a place in your bag no matter your skill level.

I wouldn't say this is amazing for beginners but it's not horrible at all either. It's one of the most known discs for Discmania and is a staple in most people's bags if you throw Discmania religiously. It's a great straight controllable fairway. The new version of it that Innova makes will probably be great but I can't wait until Discmania makes it in the great Italian blend. I'll be one of the first to grab one as soon as it comes out even just to try, especially in the new plastic.

For the beginner: This is just another fairway like the Leopard or the Leopard3: it will fly straight-ish and is excellent to learn sidearm with.

For the intermediate: The best straight flying fairway you'll find and the rim is small you can fan grip it. Perfect for honing in hyzerflips.

For the 400-500 footers: The best straight flying fairway you'll ever find but it will require some hyzer. But, dude.... you'll notice during field work your FD will be past your distance drivers on occasion. This dinky little small diameter 7 speed is not afraid to fly further than your Destroyers, Raiders and Bosses.

Imagine being brand new to the game, practicing/playing as much as your friends, developing as an approacher and putter, but you cannot win a round for your life!  Because for whatever reason, your fellow beginners are all out-driving you.  So you do some research, find that the FD Jackal is pretty popular sales-wise on the Infinite blog, see the great ratings, and decide to give it a try.  And suddenly - you're winning!  Suddenly you're getting more distance on your drives, as your FD flies perfectly straight despite your lack of power before a slight fade at the end.

This was me a couple years ago.  I've since outgrown it as a driver, but the disc has lost neither its effectiveness nor its place in my heart.  It is still my go-to for longer backhand approaches that require a backhand, and if thrown at a pretty steep hyzer, I can use it FH on second drives or off the tee on short holes.  Whatever line you throw it on, it will hold that line, and with the 6 glide, it maximizes air time whether you have a strong arm or not.  I STRONGLY recommend this for beginner players.  It's a great first BH driver, and it can definitely help you improve your FH (not very forgiving if you turn your wrist over, so you'll learn to release level really quickly).

The Discmania FD is my favorite disc ever made. It is one of the most beginner friendly discs but it grows with you as you improve your skill level.

Starting out I remember the FD was my furthest flying disc. It glides for days and will get you  more distance than you through possible as a beginner.

As you improve, the FD is perfect for so many different shots depending on the plastic that you bag.

Currently I bag 4 FD's going from understable to overstable

D-Line is my flippiest and I can throw this disc on crazy hyzer angles and it will turn over and glide very far right.

P-line is my next flippiest but nowhere near as flippy as the D-Line. It is great for low power shots that I need to go straight, if I have poor footing, or if I need something to go right but also get some controlled distance,

C-line is very neutral for me if I throw it on some solid hyzer. It is my workhorse disc for any hole that needs a dead straight shot that is over 300 feet. I throw this disc more than any other in my bag.

I recently picked up a color glow FD and it is the most stable of the bunch. As I recently just started using it I don't have too much to say on it yet, other that I am loving the extra stability that the color glow plastic provides.

In my opinion the FD is the best disc of all time and I cannot wait to see what Discmania manufacturing has in store for the future of the FD. I would recommend anyone and everyone to throw the FD.

The Discmania Fairway Driver is one of the most used discs by beginners and professionals alike. Molded for control and glide, this disc has to be one of the most useful options is anyones bag. The speed, glide, turn, and fade of this disc are all underrated.

The Fairway Drivers C-line molds are controllable to say the least. When thrown flat the disc immediately starts to glide. The apex of the flight is taller than most disc paths but this is corrected. The turn angle drops the disc to a useable height and begins to hold until the speed is decreased and gravity takes affect.

S-line molds tend to have the same flight characteristics. Not much changes other than the release point of the disc. A S-line mold might have less turn early and will hold a hyzer slightly longer but over all similiar.

2nd Run Fairway drivers are not the same disc by any means. These C-line molds came out fast and stiff, flat and stable. They carry the same characteristics as the regular production mold, yet somehow more controlled and longer flight. The disc turns but does not break over to the tipping point.

I had the pleasure of bagging a 2nd Run FD for a long time. I used it on every shot I could and the results were just incredible. I now bag a C-line for tunnel shots and rollers.

Super smooth, easy to throw and you know that its going to fade out to the left for RHBH player in windy conditions. It is also an amazing forehand disc too.

The FD was a decent disc for me as a beginning player who was looking to add a little distance. The particular disc I received was very stiff, but it still did it's job. I am not sure if it was the disc I received, but it definitely felt more like a 0, 1. Still a great disc, kicked the Leopard out of my bag for quite a while.

I purchased a metal flake C-Line with the hamburger stamp from Infinite Discs mainly for the stamp and look but also I could use a slower speed fairway driver. THIS THING IS AMAZING. Yes its gorgeous but has since become infamous in my friend circle as "Burger Time." This thing just gets me and it flies where and how I want almost every time. I have a strong arm but nothing crazy yet. I am still working on my form and grip currently but I can easily get 300- 375' out of this thing. Its very predictable and dependable. I am very curious to how the S-Line flies as more of my drivers are in Star plastic. I would imagine the fade would be even softer with the S-Line. With my C-Line it is a very nice gradual fade. I can't say enough good things about this. Even for a 7 speed this thing flies amazing and far. Do not over look it.

I'm still breaking in my FD, but right now pretty fresh out of the box it flies true to its numbers. I use it for long approaches where I really have to hit my lines or I'll hit trees (often both, haha), and off the tee on downhill par 3s.

I don't have a big arm (RHBH) so I stick to 7/8/9 weights off the tee, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this C-line FD breaks in.

My favorite fairway driver. You can put an FD on a wide anhyzer and it will hold it the full flight with a long glide. You can throw it flat and it will drift slowly right before a slight finish left. If you put a lot of power into it, you can hyzer flip this disc to carry a straight tunnel shot.

The FD is the most controllable fairway driver I have thrown. The C-line especially.

The FD is a great disc from Dismania. I have one in C-Line plastic and I love throw it for hyzer flip shots on a narrow fairways and let the amazing glide of the disc do the rest of the work for me. The C-Line plastic has a really nice feel in my hands, and has definitely withstood some direct hits into trees! :) I do have to check myself that I am not trying to over throw the FD, because it will turn over if put too much power into a throw.

The FD also works well for forehand throws for me. The glide and touch of turn help to coax a little extra distance out of my weaker forehand throws.

I highly recommend this disc for someone looking for a straight flying fairway driver with great glide.

What a fun disc.  It flies nearly straight and true with gentle turn and fade.  I used it continually in tunnels and valley shots the other day and my worst rhbh throw with this disc was off by 10' or so, anywhere from about 180'-220'ish range.  I also used it on a couple of forehand flicks that needed a bit of touch to nav through tight corridors to get out of trouble.  Teed up a 285' par three in the woods with corridors and drove to within 25' high side of pin with a throttled down backhand.  The turn and fades were very gentle, even with a slight early release the disc flew well and got me a makable putt.  I haven't powered up with this disc yet, but now that I've see a clean, fairly straight flight path at 3/4's power, I'm hooked.  It's like shooting a bottle rocket.  I'll see what I can do with it on a couple of open pars 3 in the 300' range.

I wear size 10.5 gloves.  This disc feels natural in my hand and the rim width fits my hand solidly.

I think overall this disc would be good for a beginner if they've thrown some frisbee in their lifetime.  But not for raw players.  It's more like and advanced beginner and up disc imo.  Happy kachinging!

My 10-year-old son uses this disc.  It's his primary go-to disc.  If he throws it too hard, it can have too much turn.  Therefore, he likes to throw it on a hyzer so that follows a more stable path, generally.  We have it in 147g D-Line plastic.  It has a lot of glide, which seems to be great for beginners.  Other than needing to avoid throwing it too hard, the only complaint is that the D-Line plastic is much worse than other base plastics.  It's a lot like Innova's DX plastic and gets beat up quickly.  Dynamic Discs and Viking Discs have much better base plastics.

    Disc - C-line FD

Feel - The FD is a very comfortable disc in the hand. It feels similar to a leopard due to its small rim and shallow feel. You can get a great grip on this disc because of the rim size. Even in C-line plastic, I trust this disc in wet conditions because the rim fits so nicely in the hand. This disc also feels very nice for forehands because it is not too deep nor too shallow.

Flight - The FD is STRAIGHT. If you are looking for a straight fairway driver with little fade, this is your disc. If you put a lot of power behind it or a little bit of angle, it will also hold a nice turnover. You can throw some baby hyzer flips with it and it will fly very straight with a bit of finish.

Overall - The FD is a great disc for many players as it has a lot of glide and it extremely straight. I think beginners could use this disc for a little bit more of an overstable version of a leopard or a disc like that and advanced players can use it for straight or slow turning shots.

this is more overstable than the flight numbers would indicate. I may have bought a disc too heavy for my speed which I know would contribute to it being more stable. the reason I don't think this is the case is because I have the s-line fd in the same weight and the flight numbers seem to be spot on.

if youre deciding between one, I recommend the s-line version( which is comperable to star plastic form innova)

I got my disc in a weight probably too heavy, 175g. I would definitely recommend to not get max weight for most players. 171-172 is likely the better weight for move beginner/average players.

only get the c-line for one of 2 reason: 1) you want the glow version, or 2) you wanna support nate perkins with his signature edition night strike

The FD is such a versatile disc! From beginner friendly to bagged by pros, this disc is perfect for any skill level. As a forehand dominant player, I use the Night Strike 2, color glow C-line version which seems to be on the more overstable side. NS2 is perfect for straight forehand shots.. it is my go to for any tunnel shot! I also use it for the rare occasion I throw backhand on a drive where I need a bit more stability than I would get out of a Leo3. Overall, this is one of the best discs for any player to bag.

Best disc I've ever owned. I bought one shortly after I was first introduced to disc golf, and it has stayed in my bag ever since. It's such a versatile disc. I can throw it with hyzer, hyzer flip it, turn it over, or even lay down a roller. It does everything. It has a very nice narrow, comfortable rim and is very easy to throw and it glides forever. It is consistently one of the farthest discs I throw. Best control driver on the market.

What can I say, I love this disc. I was wondering which way to take my bag next and I was leaning more towards straight flying discs. This disc will hold lines, glides for miles, and should be in everyone's bag. I personally don't have the arm strength to get this disc moving left (LHBH) and staying left but I get great flex lines, good hyzer flips that hold straight and stay straight. hyzer lines, my favorite shot is the 300-350 dead straight smooth shot where it gets just a touch of turn and get a nice little fade on the end.

The FD is one of the quintessential neutral fairway drivers on the market. For lower arm speeds, the FD will fly stable, straight with a little fade at the end while gliding effortlessly down the fairway. For bigger arms, the FD will show more turn in its flight and fly very far and hyzer flip and turnover lines. As one of the furthest flying 7-speeds because of its glide, the FD will find its way into the bags of many for its great usability for all skill levels.

I have just recently discovered this disc and it quickly became 1/2 of my 7 speed team (the Spark being the other member).  In the C line it has some fade but can be thrown about any way you want.  I play at 4700 feet so when I throw this on an anny line, it will pop back out at the end of the flight, but hold it the rest of the way.  This is a fabulous disc and see why it is the benchmark for fairway drivers.

The FD is a pretty neutral fairway driver that tends to fly how you throw it. It is very comfortable in the hand and gets some great distance for its rim size. The big reason for this is the glide, this disc really shines with open space to let that glide take over and cruise down the fairway. Overall, this is a nice disc to get into in the fairway drivers.

This disc is a must have for any and all beginners. The flight of this disc will show players' power as they get stronger. The initial flight may be a bit stable, but once you get 250-300 feet of power, or more, this disc will go on whatever line you put it on and then fade only slightly at the end in order for you to have the trust that this disc will come out of the line that you put it on to gently sit down. This is a staple of my bag and as I get more of these, I will keep 2/3 of them in my bag so that I can do many different types of shots as they wear in.

The C line FD, where do I start...This disc is my go to for laser straight shots, turnover backhands, cut rollers. It flies like a longer version of my McPro roc3s. I personally think that the FD feels better in the hand than the leopard3. The rim is similar to a teebird in width. I usually start this disc on a slight hyzer and it pops up to flat,, drifts to the right and then finishes with a nice forward slow fade. This is my go to driver if I'm in the woods. You can put this disc on any line and it will hold it for most of its flight. These do start out somewhat stable but after a few rounds they will show some turn and once beat in they will be a great turn over disc. I highly recommend finding a flatter one if you can. Pick one up and it will reinvent your game.

I've thrown this disc in C-line and in G-line.

    C-line:

This disc is straight. Just straight. I use it for those 80-100 straight shots where I don't want to fade too hard. Lately I've switched my game up a bit and started to throw more midranges for these shots, however this disc comes out when I might need to skip forward a bit or when I've got a low ceiling. I do also use it for hyzerflip to turnover when i need to go straight for 60+ before going far right.

    G-line:

Slightly less stable than the C-line. I'd say this disc is more 6.5/7/-2/1. It glides forever. I used to use it for straight shots of 70m, but I now use midranges for that. It's great as a first driver for beginners. It also handles touchy turnovers splendidly. All around a great disc. I tend to recommend this to all beginners.

    Conclusion:

It's great as a first driver. It's one of my most appreciated discs in my bag even though I don't use it very often. I would actually recommend this as a sidearm disc as well as it won't fade as hard as the overstable drivers people usually throw. Learn to sidearm understable discs!

This mold is one of the most interesting molds I've ever used in terms of stability. I've used a D-line, C-line, S-line, and glow.

D-line: This disc is basically a trick shot disc for my arm. it will flip over on a knife hyzer and almost go to a point of being a roller. Would be a perfect disc for someone learning backhand to start.

C-line: Currently in my bag - This disc is perfect for flip-up shots that go dead straight. I want to say this would be a great tunnel shot disc, but I've never tested it. I like to use this disc for shots that either need to go dead straight or long sweeping anhyzers.

S-line: This disc has some sneaky distance to it. Being a 7 speed you wouldn't think this disc can travel as far as some distance drivers, but when I used it (lost it after a few weeks) it was getting the same distance as my shryke. Has roughly the same stability as the C-line.

Glow: This disc is lovely. I don't have the Perkins sig series - I bag the mystery box disc that Discmania gave out back in December of 2017 so I don't know how it compares to the Perkins, but I would guess its roughly the same. the plastic feels a little bit different from the C-line, but in a good way. I feel like I have a little more grip which really helps with a smaller rimmed driver. This disc RIPS. its still roughly the same as the C-line with a little more added stability but it won't flip over like the C-line does for me. This disc will flip up to flat on a slight hyzer release and hold for what seems like forever then fade like an OS mid almost where its slow and subtle.

Overall: This mold is a must-have in the bag in almost any situation. The only negative I have about the disc is how it reacts in a windy situation but wind effects all discs the same. So I suggest to play smart with it: be careful in a headwind and rip it in a tailwind!

Not sure what I can add to these reviews.  I throw 167g c line and have a 167g g line.  I have more experience with the c line.

This disc is a must have. The flight numbers are right on and i haven't found any other fairway driver with these numbers.  Maybe the stalker?

This thing bombs in a tailwind. I've gotten further and more on target with this disc then those on nny card with faster discs. Something about fairway drivers just are my go to. It has amazing glide, sometimes it can be a bit much for some holes, but still what it can do will make you want one. It really fills a hole in my bag between the leopard and eagle and tl. I even use this for those RHBH anny shots that I need to be tighter than the sidewinder.  Love this disc!  Highly recommend this disc!

C-Line Blizzard in 150 weight specific review. I ordered them when they popped up on infinite recently. I was a little skeptical of the light blizzard plastic, but thought I'd give them a try. After hitting a couple courses and some field work I have 2 in my bag now, with a couple extras stored for backups.

For reference I normally throw drivers in mid 160 range for backhand and forehand throws. For more overstable drivers, normally max weight. AM intermediate player max distance 315-330 consistently with forehands reaching out 350'.

First these blizzard FDs are true to the FD flight ratings, which I thought was a little surprising. They are so easy to throw on any line I want and just hold it and glide for days with a predictable fade at the end. I was expecting them to be too unpredictable and easy to turn over. Hence why ordered 2 at first and then ordered a couple more later once I realized I needed more.

Also a note, my better half is just getting into disc golf and loves these blizzard FDs as well. Very easy for her to throw as they are 150 weight and she is getting increased distance than she usually has, with control I will add.

Few discs come to mind that are truly must bag game changing discs but the Discmania FD is one of few that can wear that badge with pride. The FD in the hand is very comfortable with a smaller rim profile making it easy to grip both back hand and forehand this disc should fit everyone from teens to bear claws in a manner that is comfortable. I bag a variety of C-line FD's varying in weight, I have thrown G and S-line but tend to rely on the C-line for their added stability.

The FD excels in its versatility and predictability. Like most Innova/Discmania molds the plastic type and weight will make a noticeable impact upon what traits your FD will have and because of that you can tailor the FD to fit what ever slot is missing in your bag. I personally use the C-line FD's for my go to fairway driver due to their extremely flexible nature. The C-line FD is the definition of neutral offering a very small amount of highspeed turn couple with a very minimal amount of fade and as such can be used for just about any shot as it will hold the line you put on it for the entire flight. The seemingly unending amount of glide this disc generates makes it contend for distance with discs with reasonably wider rims and makes this disc ideal for scramble shots thrown at a standstill. Surprisingly the FD rolls incredibly well making it great if you need a dead straight backhand or forehand roller. When I say the FD can pretty much do it all that is in no way an exaggeration.

As far as wind fighting goes depending upon how you have configured your FD will dictate how well it can handle certain wind conditions. The FD falls a little short in headwind and crosswind performance due to its neutral nature but makes up for it with it's immense glide for tailwind situations.

This disc is pretty beginner friendly, It isn't too fast or unpredictable and as a teaching tool it is very effective since its neutral nature will show flaws in the release. Being offered in the baseline D series plastic and premium G series plastic in a variety of lower weights makes this a prime choice although it may lead to frustrations since the disc won't compensate for operator error like some more stable discs would.

Overall the Discmania FD is a disc truly worthy of 5 stars (a number I'm not keen on just doling out) due to its immense versatility and flexibility. Not only does it lower strokes but can remove other molds from your bag. If that spot is open in your bag get yourself a couple FD's to try out, you will not be disappointed.

This has become one of my favorite discs! Incredible glide when you rip it flat, and essentially does whatever you tell it to. If you enjoy working on your form and practicing hitting different lines, get yourself an FD and hit the field. A very workable disc for all kinds of shots and is stable enough to handle some good distance when thrown right. I aced a hole the other day with it on a slight flex line to a 290 ft hole. I find myself grabbing the FD in situations that I could easily use another disc, but I have confidence in it and know what it will do. Very straight, extremely natural and comfortable in the hand. Much has already been said by others, but if you're in the market for a tried and true, all-around great fairway driver, the FD will find a place in your game.

One of the all-time greatest discs ever made. No matter your skill level, the FD can fit perfectly into your bag.

An average to intermediate player can get this disc to fly dead straight right out of the box with a nice fade at the end that's perfect for lower-power throwers. More advanced players can get great turnovers and hyzer-flips out of it, as can more intermediate players who have let theirs beat-in a bit.

If you're a new player looking to step up from your DX Leopard, an FD is one of the best discs you can move to. Once you throw it, you'll be in love.

The FD is a must-have for any player who isn't sponsored. With a little bit of power it sits up and just flies dead straight on the line you sent it one. Its really become my go-to driver, just because it goes on the exact line you put it on. Its especially spectacular on the wooded courses that I play where you need to trust the disc to do what you tell it too. I really can't say enough good things about it, its just so good for players with and without a ton of arm speed.

I've had a C-Line and a G-Line, the C-Line is a little bit more overstable while the G-Line is much better at staying straight for a long time. I prefer the G-Line just because of the better grip and it goes a bit straighter.

Pick one of these up, you won't regret it!

I have a 172g C-line FD and throw predominantly RHBH. I absolutely love this disc, from the first throw. I have a few rounds with it now and am finding it extremely useful. It's a fairly narrow rim and it's not too deep or overly domey feeling (despite the 6 glide rating), and it fits very comfortably in my hand with a power grip. On straight line shots it's good for about 300ft for me. On a flat release it holds the line perfectly without any real noticeable turn and a mild fade, making it great for tighter shots. The glide also makes it great for shots with a lower ceiling. It'll hold a nice long hyzer angle to the ground without cutting too sharp. I love it for long, smooth anhyzers where it will flatten out just before touching down. I haven't really thrown it into a significant headwind so I'm not sure how it will hold up, but really cranking on it doesn't turn it over, it just kind of stays where you put it. The only drawback I've noticed so far is that, I'm guessing because of the all the glide, wind does play around with the elevation. I've had it take off upwards once or twice, and have had an occasion where the air under the disc just disappeared. I do have a lot of faith in this though and it gets quite a bit of use each round. Highly recommended for plays of any skill level.

I recently traded for a C-Line Lizotte FD and took it out to the field to see how it felt. This disc immediately found a spot in my bag. It has such a great feeling in the hand, it's very easy to control for all types of shots, and it doesn't require a lot of power to get the expected flight path. I can throw this baby on a straight line for about 300-325 and let it settle down gently. This disc cannot come any higher recommended for players of all skill levels. I will say that it's not the best disc to play in the wind, it has a tendency to flip over in crosswinds, but if you're playing a calm day there aren't many discs I would rather throw.

As far as straight flying fairway drivers go, people always talk about the River and the FD. I have thrown both (and bag multiple of both), but would take the FD over the River. The River seems to be a bit more understable, whereas the FD can take more torque without turning into a roller. You can throw it on an Anny line and it will hold forever, or you can get a nice tight hyzer flip. And it's comfortable for forehands and backhands.

What can I say about the Discmania FD that has not been said already... Well, for starters it is possibly the best fairway driver for wooded courses ever molded. It has more glide and less fade than the Innova Teebird, which I like. It's closest to the TL, but even then is more controllable. I use my Discmania C Line FD for backhand straight shots, turnovers, and uphill shots. It's also fantastic for hyzer flip forehand drives. 2nd Run C Line FDs are significantly more stable and fantastic for backhand power shots and hyzer lines. The other runs of C Line FDs are for the most part similar in flight, with only the plastic feeling different.

I would say this is a beginner friendly disc, but I do not recommend anything faster than a 5 speed disc to any beginner. Once your form develops this disc can and should be your go-to fairway driver. Highly recommended!!!

I think the C-Line FD is a fantastic disc. It has a great amount of turn for it's speed and fade rating. The disc is "shape-able" and comfortable in the hand. I can use it for anything from a hyzer flip, turnover, flat release to right flight (RHBH), rollers and more.

If I wasn't such a Trilogy guy, I would definitely be bagging the FD. It is kind of similar to a Teebird, with a little more turn. I haven't tested it much in the wind, but I would expect it to be a good tailwind disc.

I also think the FD could be a great addition to your bag whether you have been playing one week or one decade. If you haven't already, pick up and FD and try it.

I bag two FD's in 2 different plastics as they have different flights:

C-Line: This is the more stable of the two. It can handle a bit of a headwind and just got dead straight.  On a calm day I'll see that consistent fade more.

Luster: Oh I LOVE this one. This is my straight as an arrow 300' disc.  It JUST a smidgen undersable but it holds the line with a slight bit of drift to the right (RHB).  This is by far the straightest disc in my bag.

The C-Line is the most popular plastic for the FD I believe, and it's definitely the most stable. I have a Lizotte stamped FD that flies a lot like a champ teebrid with a bit more glide. Once you've thrown a few different runs, you'll soon realize that there's a big difference in stability between runs - 2nd run being the most stable.

Such a great far-flying disc with tons of glide. I through a max weight blue c-line FD as one of my super consistent long range drivers even though it's only a 7 speed. I can get this disc out to about 450 on a good throw and close to 500 on a great throw. It seems to be fairly overstable similar to a teebird, but I can throw it much farther with more consistent results. I use it for long straight shots with a slight dog leg at the end. I can throw it into a descent head wind and it will just go straight for days. I get effortless distance out of this disc with similar flight paths each throw.

Discmania is well known for embracing the differences between runs of their discs. The two that are most known for this are the PD and the FD. While I am a PD thrower, I am NOT an FD thrower and therefore cannot accurately comment about the differences between 1st run and 4th run FDs or whatever.

I can say the FD is a great fairway driver that didn't feel good in my hands. That's just me though, so don't let it stop you from giving the FD a fair shot. In C-Line, you will find a great stability that, when thrown flat, will turn slightly and fade slightly finishing it's flight right in line with your release point. A small hyzer angle hyzer flips to late fade, and a steeper hyzer will see a big, glidey hyzer. The FD is really a "do it all" driver for any skill level...however, it starts off lightly stable so when it breaks in, it will become a very understable disc.

I picked up an FD after hearing about it's extraordinary glide. I got really excited about this disc. I expected it to be more understable than my Teebird to fill the gap of a fairway driver I could flip and let it ride to the right for most of the flight. I can flip my 175g Teebird up and have it turn and fly before it fades back nice and slow. I expected something that would be much easier to flip and go left to right.

The FD fits great in my hand, and is very comfortable. It feels pretty similar to that of a Teebird, but with a bigger dome.

I have had my FD for a month or so now, and it's really overstable. Much more than I was expecting. It is more overstable than my teebird and I haven't gotten it to flip yet. I have thrown this thing at full power and it goes straight for a ways, then hooks up. I am pretty amazed as I wasn't expecting this. I need to go and play an entire round with just this disc to beat it in. Once it does that, hopefully I can have an updated review. But for now, I am just a little dissapointed.

Looking forward to continue to break it in and see how it flies different.

Is 300 ft Superman's putting range?  If so, he would putt with this.  This is an extraordinary disc that belies its numbers and physical dimensions.  I love driving putters and carry a lot of them.  They are fun to throw and are precise in a way that midranges and control drivers aren't... except this one.  A true max distance putter... or a Mako3 on Lance Armstrong drugs?  Its domey and full feeling which I normally don't like, but somehow feels very comfortable in my hand (same goes for the MD3).  This is a stable disc.  Its not over or under.  Flat it will fly a tight S.  A small hyzer flip will get you a laser straight flight with a mild fade at the end.  Fade is always there, but is never much.  Get it high in the air and it sort of just falls down and to the left (rhbh) at end of flight (like a putter).  That end of flight speed even flat isn't much letting you stick every landing.  A power grip and full rip will get you unexpected distance that may shame many understable speed 9's.  A fan grip and controlled pull will make you look and feel more compentent than you really are in the woods.  I'd take any plastic or run of FD over a River or Maul anyday.  A Kaxe Z and Volt though shorter and longer respectively probably aren't different enough to share space in a bag with an FD.  Horses for courses among those.  FD plastic does make a difference in glide, turn and fade, but don't let that discourage you.  They are all great.  Red color S-lines and all color C-lines are more stable.  G-lines are less stable but have more glide.  In C-line the specific run makes a difference too but except for the now rare 2nd runs don't worry too much about it (my 2nd runs are awesome very overstable delights that will be irreplacable when they need to be replaced).  Finesse shots, big anhyzers, massive elevation changes, trees/trees/trees, tiny throwing windows, putter-like placement accuracy and dead straight tomahawks are reasons to get an FD.  High winds or monster hyzers?  Um, no (unless you have a 2nd run C-line!).  You don't want to neglect all those Firebirds anyway, do you?  I can't forehand FD's (or much of anything), but they hold an anny so well I do not need to.  Get four!

I have bagged multiple FDs, although I currently have the C-Line in my bag. The C-Line FD is a very straight disc that flies further an a typical 7-speed fairway driver would, thanks to the incredible glide. Thrown on a slight hyzer, this disc reliably flips up to flat and goes dead straight, with a very minimal fade at the end.

The S-Line FD is less stable than a C-Line FD. While the C-Line FD is closer to a less-stable Innova Teebird, the S-Line FD is comparable to the Innova Leopard/3.

This disc is the straightest flying off the shelf 7 speed driver that is out there right now, in my opinion.  I bag 3 for all of my RHBH straight to turnover shots from 350-400 feet.  The S-line FDs will be flippier out of the box, but not dive-bomb roller flippy.  they start out as a perfect turnover driver and only season well with use.  The C-line FDs are a true beauty, especially the Jolly Launcher runs.  They start out at almost brand new Teebird stability and work in to sure straight distance.  The FD would be a great fairway addition to any skill level bag.

Acquired a Factory Second C-Line FD, 167g.  The plastic is the clear, Jolly Launcher (JL) C-Line/Champion plastic, very durable (and proven as I've smashed this thing into some trees off the tee several times).

If one took the best parts, i.e.the speed of the (Innova) Star TL and the glide of the (Latitude 64) Gold Line River, one would have the FD.  Mine was stable/understable fresh out of the box, making it a really nice compliment to the Star TL in my bag.  The glide is exceptional, especially on uphill shots through the woods, and it gets really good distance in the open, as well.  And it is not hard to throw and get those good results.

For those wanting to upgrade from the Leopard and/or mids, I'd recommend the FD.

The C-Line FD is so nice! I was introduced to the FD by the owner of the US Discmania West Coast store himself, and I was hooked. At that time, the FD's out were the "Second run" FD's. These have quickly become the most popular and sought after FD's on the market, and I picked up 3 for myself. I still have all of them, with one of them even surviving 4 rounds in the bag at the deadly disc eating Winthrop course for the 2014 USDGC! I threw a lot of old favorites in those waters, but the dependable second run FD in the bag stayed in the ropes and out of the water all week.

The later runs of FD haven't been nearly as stable as the second runs. The second runs flew a lot like a Teebird that isn't too overstable. Now, the FD is just a beautiful turnover disc, and a beautiful straight disc when released at lower speeds or with a good hyzer angle. I would call it similar to a Leopard with more stability. A less stable Teebird with more glide. The FD makes my bag at lower elevations as a turning Fairway driver. When I am at a hole that just needs a turnover instead of a forehand, the FD is my go-to disc. Dependable and awesome.

So I have been debating trying this disc out for a while because Discmania has been getting very popular recently, and this is a disc that everyone is talking about. I have a 175g C-line, and so far it has been living up to all the hype. I was worried with a flight rating of -1/1 that this thing would be too understable for me. However, mine holds up very well, and even when I put my everything into it, it doesn't turn over. the glide of 6 is real too. It glides very well. I love my Roc3's, and honeslty this flies like a longer and straighter Roc. Another great word to describe this disc is controlable. I have been learning to throw it on long straight tunnel shots, but also if I put some slight hyzer on it and get some air under it it holds a very predictable hyzer line. I think this would be a great disc for a player to build their game around. I am very impressed, and I plan to keep this disc in my bag for a long time.

5 star disc. Just... Get one. If you're a seasoned vet or new to the game, just get an FD Jackal. Here's what it does as long as you're not overpowering it: with flat release it goes DEAD STRAIGHT and gently lays, hyzer release with more power and it'll flip to flat and hold with a gentle fade left, throw higher with anhyzer and it glides... It glides forever and then will fight back just a little bit with an overall flight path to the right (all RHBH, no wind.) You have holes at your local course that this disc is made for. This disc adapts, is versatile, and likes a tailwind.  Headwinds not so much, unless you power it down significantly.  Discmania just makes phenomenal discs. As Infinite says, this is TRULY one of the great straight flyers ever.

If you want to know what it's like to fall in love with a disc get this disc! I have nice in the beautiful C-line plastic and at max with so i can really lay into it and get a nice straight throw and it does exactly that. Goes straight 300 feet then fades slightly.Or if you really lay into it, it will turn that -1 and cone back. Absolutely one of my favorite disc. The glide on this disc really makes it excel at getting more distance than expected. Which is the only negative thing i can say about it, it will occasionally sail over my desired target.

This is my go-to straight shot disc. Whether its a long, narrow tunnel or wide open field. The C-Line Fd will hold a line beautifully, no matter the line. If you need a single fairway driver for your bag, this is the disc for you. The round edge feels great in the hands and the rim is wide enough for a good power grip but narrow enough to fit any hands. Best fairway driver on the market that I've found.

The most versatile disc in my bag.  By far.  Different plastics provide drastically different flight paths to utilize, but the C-line is by far the most scultable line.  It can really flex to fit most roles depending on angle applied to the disc as well as arm speed,  Overstable enough to be dependable. Understable enough to be flexible.
