The FD is truly one of the great straight-flying fairway drivers. This disc is perfect for straight line shots through low ceiling tree lines. As an accurate, smooth flying disc, the FD is a winner for beginners and pros. While the FD isn’t the fastest flying fairway driver, it does offer excellent glide, allowing it to rival your furthest flying distance drivers.

The Discmania made and Innova made FDs feel and fly similar, if not identical. When adding a review, feel free to comment your opinions on how they differ!

    One of my favorite discs.

    At beginner armspeed, it's a good 0 1 or 0 1.5, and when I get a good throw with it,  -1 1.

More stable than the old mold, which I have in the form of the gstar Hawkeye.

Glide is very good, comparable to the best.  Good against a moderate wind.  (for more wind, use a Teebird or an Explorer)

This is a fantastic disc.  Highly recommend (as did just about everyone else preceding me)

Very neutral disc that can do many things. Will hold a lot of lines with the ever so slightest fade at the end. If you put a slight anny on tight gaps to get power, this disc is perfect for that line that needs to get 250 straight before fading. It does need some speed though, so If you're a player like myself throwing 300-350 and want to stop down, skip this disc and go all the way to a mid, or this will just hyzer out at anything lower than 75% power

Everything about this disc is spot on...except for the glide. I would probably blame it on the MFC plastic, but I definitely don't think it is as glidey as people claim it to be. I definitely think that the turn/fade are spot on, maybe even a fade of 2 at the start while it's brand new. Overall, it's still incredibly easy to work with, and anyone would find some use for this jack of all trades driver.

For a while, I've heard about how good this disc is. After finally trying it, I can see why. I got this disc from my brother relatively new and loved it right away. This is the straightest disc in my bag when thrown right. I have it in C-line plastic at 170 grams. The disc will hold any line you throw it on. It's an easy hyzer disc to throw, but for me personally, it excels as a slight anhyzer shot or flat shot with some power because that's how you get the most flight out of it. No matter how far I throw this on a flat or anhyzer line, it goes almost dead straight. I trust this disc in any condition while throwing through any gap, and I highly suggest this to anyone playing disc golf, whether you're a beginner or seasoned vet. This disc is one of the first ones I grab when deciding what to throw.

Great disc for developing arm speed when moving towards fairway drivers.  Somewhat similar to an eagle.

Would highly suggest giving it a try after you master a mid-range like a buzzz or an MD3

Absolute staple disc that I bag several iterations of and the different plastic types really shine in this mold, allowing a lot of options.  My P-Lines fly laser beam straight forever (D-Lines fly similar until they beat in) and my C-Lines give a very dependable finish and fight wind pretty well.  The disc has great glide but also doesn't get crushed by wind like most glidey discs seem to.  Feels great in the hand with a very smooth rim profile and despite only being a 7 speed, it will handle a surprising amount of beef so it covers a lot of bases in the fairway driver wheelhouse.

This mold is a workhorse for me.  I gobble up different plastics for the FD whenever I see them, and I'm really excited to get to know this metal flake skullboy batch infinite has right now.  Long live the FD!

Got myself a C-line glow Night Strike FD, and honestly, the flight numbers don't hold up for this relative beginner with less than a year under my belt. I don't have the fastest arm, but this disc dumps hard left when I throw it, which is fine for when I'm looking for a fairly overstable shot, but I have other discs that are more useful than just that, which make more sense to keep in my bag. I get a better flight out of my Explorers, which are allegedly more stable than the FD. Night Strike looks nice hanging on the wall, though.

This disc has improved my game a lot.

This has to be one of the better control drivers I have worked with. I can throw this hyzer straight or anhyzer and it will hold those lines. It may have to do with my slower arm speed.

If I have I low ceiling tunnel shot this is my go to disc. I put this on the slightest hyzer and really crank it. Money every time.

    Great durability.

I am not sure all will agree with me on this but as a former Ultimate frisbee player this disc feels great in the hand.

This is the fairway driver I have been looking for.  The C-line is grippy and the I can consistently throw this disc dead straight about 300 feet with moderate effort.  It's pretty sturdy and can take its fair share of tree hits while maintaining its flight capabilities. I have a 175 g disc and it seems able to fight through the wind well.

This disc is an awesome fairway driver. I got this in my VIP package and it has found a permanent spot in my bag. I throw more RHBH and this disc is very consistent. I have thrown it side arm and it is consistent doing the opposite of RHBH. This is my first Discmania disc and there will probably be more going in my bag. I recommend this disc to anyone that is looking for a great fairway driver.

A buddy of mine let me throw this disc all day yesterday and surprise surprise it found a way in my bag! It weighs 175 and thrown with a slight hyzer flips up goes straight maybe a little turn but comes back at the end! In a tail wind throw this disc flat and it goes forever! Might be the fairway driver you are looking for.  Not as stable as a TeeBird but not as flippy as a river. Advanced players should pick one up and try it and beginners should give it a try!
