SUPER CONSISTENT LINE HOLDER? REGARDLESS HOW OR WHAT YOU THROW IT WILL FADE HARD.

HOW DOES IT FEEL, DOES IT MAKE YOU LOVE DISC GOLF? ABSOLUTELY, IT'S ONE OF THE BEST FEELING PLASTICS, THE GIVE IS PERFECT, THE FORM SITS IN YOUR HAND SO WELL YOU CAN ALMOST SEE YOUR SELF ALREADY THROWING IT 100M/330FT.

A hidden gem for beginners, it's consistent fades perfectly and flips vertical for longer putts, if you crank it it will go, forehand absolutely it's king there and the plastic and feel in your hand is one of a kind.

Honestly this has been in my top 3 discs to throw from day one and it's remarkable, it's a must have for any beginner as it just becomes a stable flip putter and roller, meanwhile you will be a very good player by the time you throw it properly. In the meantime using its consistent crazy overstability will make it any beginners most predictable shot and it suits itself to forehand driving, practicing whipping speed with a backhand and longer putt where you want it to fall into the basket and finally you can learn your tomahawk on it.

If I had to choose 20 discs I'd definitely have it and use it semi regularly. If I had 10 I'd use it more. If I had 5 it'd be a staple nonstaple. If I could only have one disc it would be a Latitude River but a close second and one that would take me from total newbie to professional would be the Halo Star Destroyer performing multiple roles better than even the better molds designed for that purpose.

If you replaced every disc in someone's bags with a variation of a destroyer in some plastic and beat in condition that satisfies that discs requirements you could likely replace 40% of the discs and throw 80% of your throws with destroyers. I imagine disc golf is a journey from your first Destroyer to many discs and then back to your Destroyer(s).

The most important thing is from day one in a gifted beginners hand this disc is a 100% reliable disc and no other disc comes close to filling this many roles, being this available and this universally discouraged. As you get better the disc becomes a staple as a forehand for range when you improve and by the time you're advanced it's a bag staple.

The Destroyer is simply reliable. The only complaint I have is the significant variation in overstability depending on the plastic and different runs. I have half a dozen or so Destroyers in different plastics, and while they are all overstable, they range from manageable to absolute meathooks. I bag the destroyer for long-distance, overstable forehand throws or as my overstable headwind disc for backhands.

    GOAT DISC

The Halo Destroyer is the greatest of all time Disc. Hands Down. I've been bagging Destroyers on and off since 2014 when I first started playing and just keep circling back to them no matter what other disc my curiosity is interested in. When they made the Halo Destroyer I never looked at anything else. I bag anywhere from 2-4 Halo Destroyers at a time. They are great because no matter your skill level, you can find a use for them. For slower arm speeds this can be used as a reliable headwind fighter that will finish left. For faster arm speeds you can get a stable full flight. One of my farthest throws ever was with a 2020 halo destroyer ( my all time favorite run)

I think this should be every players driver. The star plastic is great for less powerful arms as it is not that overstable. The Halo star plastic is awesome for long distance forehands, as it is really overstable and the grip is amazing. Just try a few plastics and for sure you'll find a disc that'll go in your bag!

Fantastic disc. Halo star plastic was the best thing to ever happen to the destroyer. There is a reason all innova MPO players and those throwing mixed bags bag these discs. The halo plastic does increase the stability a bit compared to the standard runs, and it's not matched to arm speeds not throwing in the 380ft range. If your armspeed isn't reasonably high this will be a meathook disc with a consistant flight even in headwinds.

My first attempt at using a destroyer was perhaps my third round.  I had bought one in Champion plastic after witnessing a group in front of me use it almost exclusively for all sorts of drives off the tee.
It was absoutely uncontrollable for me and my highly inconsistent methods of throwing, so I put it away and didn't try one again for probably 6 months, at which point I got a lighter weight in Star plastic.  By then I had improved my technique, and found it a good option for my RHBH off the tee when throwing against the wind or in situations where I wanted little S curve and a decent fade.
Nowadays I use a Destroyer seven times out of ten when driving backhand and forehand.  It is consistent, fights the wind, goes the distance, and I can reliably shape shots with it.  My current model is a Halo Star Destroyer 173.5g, which is near the higher end of my desired weight range for back hands, and is pretty much the limit for forehands.
A wonderful disc for intermediates(me) and up, but I would say not for beginners.

These Halo Destroyers are pretty overstable compared to a stock run of Star Destroyers. I personally like it for that reason as it gives me a choice to stable up for more windy environments without worrying about the disc turning over too much. My personal favorite run of this specific mold is the 2021 Calvin Heimburg Tour series mainly because of the feel. It's not too crazy tacky or slick, but not too domey/poptop as the 2022 versions.

One of the best distance drivers in the game. Super reliable! The halo destroyers offer a bit more beef and allow you to really lean into the throw. Definitely a staple in the bag. Not the best disc for newer players (really need to be able to get the disc "up to speed" before adding it to your bag).

The innova destroyer needs no introduction straight to good finish every time the downside is there so many runs and every single destroyer's different you have to find a run that works best for you and use it If max wieght or premium plastic does not work for you get a lighter weight or more understable plastic like pro to give you a better flight

Great disc! This run of Calvin's are actually workable and like all of the runs has great glide. These are similar to a max weight halo emporer, both are awesome!

I have 400ft+ distance so I like some stability. First I love the consistent grip of the Halo plastic, super grippy and durable. As it wears in very slowly it increases in glide but still stable. This years are amazing great glide out of the box (1st throw 400ft flex shot). I don't usually like a super domey disc for forehand shots but it is comfortable for that as well. Not for beginners, sorry but gotta put some torque or it's not going far. Superb disc!! Hoping to grab another color for variance.

If you have been around disc golf longer than a few weeks, you have probably heard about the Innova Destroyer. It is widely known as the most popular and recognizable disc out there. However, I feel like the name and recognition has outweighed its actual practical uses for the average disc golfer.

I bag one Destroyer and it is the most overstable distance driver in my bag. I typically throw around 340 - 380 on golf lines and can maybe sniff 400 on my best day. With that said, the Destroyer is nowhere close to my max distance driver. I barely get any flip up and it fades out hard. I'd be lying if I said I use this disc for more than a headwind fighter and utility disc. But that is okay! You don't have to have 4-7 Destroyers in the bag in order to be considered a "good disc golfer". Realistically, this mold is more disc than what an average player can handle and that is okay.

I love my Destroyer and I think it is a great mold, but if you are really trying to improve your game and you are only throwing around 350 feet, maybe try putting down the Destroyers and move to something a little slower or less stable. My vote is an Emperor from Infinite Discs. (It's basically a beat in Destroyer that flips easier and glides forever!)

DON'T bag this unless you can throw a fairway over 300 feet. This disc is like a trap to people thinking they'll get more distance. That being said if you have the arm for a premium destroyer it's the best

What can I say, Its the destroyer there's not a lot that hasn't already been said about it lol. I struggled to throw it as a beginner but now im getting some nice little flex shots with it not anything crazy as this is still a pretty stable disc for me. Who doesn't love a Destroyer!

The Destroyer is the King of all discs. It is the classic 12-speed driver and has been the disc to rule the game. I started using the destroyer about a year ago when I was able to correctly change my form and throw over 450. I recommend this disc for people who have been playing the game for a while. The overstability and fade of this disc wouldn't be ideal for beginners. On the other hand, this disc is a MUST for professionals. This disc is great for sidearms and backhands. The destroyer is also amazing in the wind. Unlike most drivers, the destroyer is hardly affected by wind. The smooth rim and shallow profile are a factor of this behavior.

One weakness of the destroyer is Innova's run consistency. I have bought destroyers that are domey and have so much glide that they go 500+ feet and I have also bought similar destroyers where they are so understable and flat they turn into rollers. Innova has to fix this issue so that the destroyer can be an even bigger stable for players.

The destroyer is my go to distance driver in my bag. It also happens to be my favorite disc. They can be used for both forehands and backhands, each for power. The destroyer is very versatile, no matter what plastic you get it in. Halo star is my favorite because it starts out very overstable but once you get it beat in, you can get a good, straight flight out of it.

I would not recommend for beginners, even if they have an athletic background.
This is my go to distance driver, not for max distance BUT for reliable dependable fade around 300 ft.  My absolute favorite and had to play a full year before I could get it to do anything other than spike hard.

I've thrown destroyers for the last few years as my main go to whenever going for some controlled distance and I have to say that new halo plastic is truely amazing. Being forehand dominant player, this disc is so comfortable in the hand and while the normal star plastic tends to slip in wet conditions, halo does not. Most of the halo destroyers are domey, but I've got a few really flat ones as well that for some reason are slightly less stable than the domey ones. I'd say its great for both beginners and advanced, but to really get it far, it requires some power. Nevertheless, this disc flies accurate to its numbers and is my favorite driver in my bag.

I have 3 halo destroyers and they are all over-stable bombers. The plastic feels great, and they all have a great pop top dome on them that gives them great glide. I don't quite have the arm to really use these properly, but even thrown on hyser they go farther than anything else that's this overstable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with 400' plus of power.

Obviously the best selling disc in the game...and these are serious Bombers...They are really over stable to start. Then break in really well over some time...it's difficult not to want to bag several
