i think the blizzard plastic is amazing for long drives with not too much effort! I love this disc in my bag and would recommend it to anyone that needs a easy throw for big distance!

Having a blizzard Destroyer is something that has added a lot of distance to my wife's game. She was having trouble throwing 175 weighted discs over 200 no matter what type of disc. After switching to a blizzard driver she is approaching 300 on her drives.

The Innova Destroyer is probably the greatest disc golf distance driver ever made. For the longest time I have carried a beat in DX mold and one in the Star plastic. The DX is perfect, a middle of the road 150 grams, beat in for a variety of shots, and the Star is the true killer. Living up to its Star Wars roots in its name, the light speed tail or headwind shots make it perfectly reliable. The kind of disc you find in a public park and pray there is no name or number on it so you can bag it. I don't really know how or why I got two of these, I suppose I was just curious. They are both at a straw-weight 138 grams, and behave like a health nut trying red bull for the first time. In perfect conditions the lesser weight really does claw for that extra couple meters, but with a caveat. The light weight should only be thrown with a bit of caution. The wind is going to absolutely maul you, first off, and this may be my own bias but light weight discs after this experimentation have proven a bit annoying. It's like trying to set an arm speed record with a ping pong ball. My final assessment would be to just play with a Star Destroyer. If you're gonna eat bacon, don't dab at it with a paper towl. You've already come this far.

PROS: Makes a good hazardous shot disc, and maybe a good platform for high speed drivers for players with less power.

CONS: Flight ratings are much different in this plastic, not Innova's fault, but can catch players used to heavier models by surprise.

What can I say about the Destroyer that hasn't been said already? For some players out there who had this as their first disc (which I can't not recommend enough) do you remember throwing a midrange and getting more distance so you left the Destroyer in the bag for a bit? How about the time you came back to it, but this time around you had the technique and the arm? That first return throw for me blew. My. Mind. It is the golden standard by which distance drivers should be measured. The flight ratings are perfectly calculated, even beat in and regardless of plastic. I don't recommend this to new players, like I said, until the strength and technique is there. I throw an extremely light plastic for my own reasons, but I have thrown the Star plastic and if I were to buy again, that would probably be what I would buy.

PROS: If you have what it takes to throw the Destroyer, the flight will be perfectly predictable, even with a tail or head-wind in my personal experience. I will always have this disc in my bag.

CONS: There are none, unless you were on Innova's team, took money to go elsewhere, and can't throw it anymore.

138g blizzard destroyer is my go to disc for max distance straight shots. My average throw is 280-300 but I can hit 330 or move with the disc ending fairly straight. I throw it on a hyzer shot that flips up and flex right but always come back more or less straight.

The first disc I threw farther than everything and STILL the one I throw farthest is a 130 gram Blizzard Destroyer. I don't throw it often because few baskets on my area courses exceed 300 ft, but if I want to bomb one this is what I use.

As a newer player with a weak arm, this is my primary distance driver when there's room to air it out. At 146g I can turn this disc over and watch it reliably fade back at the end. Love the Blizzard plastic, I find it to be more grippy than the rating here gives the plastic credit for. With my am strength this has a totally different flight pattern than my Star Destroyer, but it's just perfect for my strength and skill level.

Half power forehands that go 400'? This disc holds integrity even at the lower weight. This has become my finesse FH driver when I need that fade at the end. Feels amazing in the hand, better than other destroyers.

Picked this up at 150g and it's so nice to be able to get the flight that bigger arms get from max weights. Too light for wind, but in calm conditions it's a great disc to work with.

Had a heavy star destroyer years ago, the bliz destroyer flies almost the same. Only difference is it's better in a tailwind in this plastic/wieght than a headwind.

Hands down my favorite disc. A very true flying disc, it holds its line. Not great in wind but other than that I use it nearly every hole.

My experience is with the Blizzard plastic Destroyer in the weight range of 138-140g so take that with a grain of salt. When thrown with about 75% power it was a good straight flying disc if not a tad understable, but not much. However for what I was trying to use it for, a hyzer disc that floated, it didn't do its job for me. It flipped and turned over to the right(RHBH) more than I was expecting. So I found myself an understable floating disc in my searching process.

From a rec/intermediate's prospective it would be a decent wind fighting disc that would give them nice distance. As their arm strength and technique increased however they would need something a bit more stable.

The blizzard plastic does tend to beat up a little quicker than regular champion does so in the long run durability might be an issue.

If you are looking for a hyzerflip disc that you can get a lot of distance with you might try a blizzard Destroyer. The lighter weight definitely helps gain more distance in my experience.

I bought a light blizzard Destroyer (138g) for one reason only: I can't drive lightly and I need a disc that can float.

One of the best choices I made for what I'm using it for. Really when you throw a disc this light it becomes understable regardless of it's intended path. This isn't an exception, however it can actually be thrown really straight and still have enough speed to make it over water. Not gonna throw it in the wind though... That is Rampage territory all day.

Destroyers are one of the popular disc on the market.  They are very dependable in all playing conditions.  It will fight to keep its line on a windy day.  On a beautiful sunny day, watch it glide out beautiful s-turns.

I recently added a 147 g. Blizzard Destroyer to my bag.  A good friend was picking one up and talked me into getting one.  I have never had so much fun throw a blizzard disc.  Just like Star and Champion plastic.  A Blizz was just as reliable.  On a slight breezy day, I watched it dance its way to the basket.  On one particular hole, dog leg right.  I threw this 147 g. Blizzard on a high anny and watch it hold its line and when it came out of it.  I was surprise to see the distance gain.

Not a beginner friendly disc.  You need both arm speed and strength to get this disc to fly, according to its flight numbers.

I have 2 of these discs in my bag one off the shelf and one F2nd.  Now that im an older golfer blizzard plastic flies great with a slower arm.  I have a champion that i cant get up to speed. But the same mold in blizzard plastic flies like a dream.  They just arn't the greatest into the wind.

VERY SIMILAR TO BLIZZARD CHAMPION TEEDEVIL! Awesome disc for downwind flick shots. DO NOT TRY TO WHIP THIS DISC VERY HARD!! IT WILL BE UNCONTROLABLE! Flick shots are very useful with this disc! AWESOME FLIGHT PATH!

A blizzard champion destroyer was the first and second disc I ever bought. After getting a starter set as a gift, I bought a destroyer.  On my first drive, I overthrew the basket, the trees behind the basket and the bank of the Niagara river.  I bought another one the next day, and it's been in my bag for five years since.  Still one of my favorite discs, just a little less stable now.

I am not a strong thrower.  The 158g blizzard I bought is fantastic.  Certainly the best long distance driver I throw.  It maintains a good straight line with a predictable fade.  I cannot turn this disc over when I throw at full power, which is fine.  I use it for straight to left fading shots.

I have the Destroyer in 145g blizzard plastic.  Currently, I only use it for wide open bomb shots.  Despite the overstable rating, I seem unable to throw this disc without an understable turn.  This is partially me, as I tend to get more turn than the average player based on my throwing form, but for comparison, I throw both a Nuke SS and a Sidewinder (both actual understable discs) much straighter than this Destroyer.  It may just be an adjustment needed for the super light plastic.  That said, you can throw this thing a country mile.  I've uncorked a solid 450' bomb with it a few times already.  Just be prepared for the one that you turn over and anhyzers 3 fairways to your right, if you're not careful.

Fantastic disc if thrown correctly, but will follow your form to a T. I cant get this disc to fade out at all. Definatly a straight line bomber, just be carefull what direction you throw. The Destroyer can destroy the coarse or destroy your game, it all depends on your form.

The Destroyer is probably my favorite disc to throw due to the consistency I get from the flights. I can count on the Destroyer to not turn over on me especially in my champion and star plastics. On calmer days I love to throw my Blizzard Destroyers because I get guite bit more distance out of them. In Blizzard they are more turnover sensitive and I am able to throw long S curves for even more distance. My bag consists of 2 Destroyers at a time, 1 Blizzard and one of the others, my arsenal consists of 3 Blizzard 150 gr., 1 Champion 165 gr., 1 Star 167gr., 1 Gstar 167 gr. The Destroyer is the longest disc in my bag and It will stay there for this disc is the most needed flyer of my arsenal! .

I got this disc for the stability, and the distance that it was supposed to have. I definitely get the distance, but have been a little disappointed with the stability. I feel like it is more of a -2 for high speed turn. Still a great disc, get easy distance, but I turn it over way to often. I would highly recommend a champion or star plastic if you have a very strong arm.

I have two of these in my bag a 136 blizzard I use on a super hilly forest course, and a 168 Avery Jenkins star. I too the Avery out of my bag after only a couple rounds because it was wayyy os, but then I just threw a bunch of tomahawks with it and chucked it at the ground for a while until it was a little more beat in and I've finally been able to put a little turn on it. I watched Avery's whats in my bag special on spin tv and he talked about how the new signature destroyers were uncomfortably os for him, which made me feel a little better. I had an early run one u til I lost tit at the beginning of the summer and it was a fantastic disc. Miss it dearly. I would highly recomend the blizzard in non windy conditions, and an earlier star destroyer over the Avery signature series

this is my first disc I bought, and still is my favorite driver 3 years later. The glide on this disc is amazing. And the fade is extremely predictable. I have this disc in blizzard champion 138gm, the high speed turn is minimal, so it won't turn and burn on you. This to me is the perfect discs for any level from beginner to expert.

Really great disc for power throwers. Does not turn over to easy and has predictable fade. I would not suggest this for beginners in dx, pro, champion, or star plastic but the blizzard champion plastic is less stable and takes less power
