This disc is a favorite of Prodigy's fans as an overstable approach disc. The A3 is beaded, and has a wide rim for an approach disc. This wide rim makes forehand releases clean and accurate.

I love this disc for pretty much any approach shot. I have two A3s, a 400 plastic one and a 200 plastic one. They may as well be completely different discs. Setting aside that inconsistency, the 400 one is my go to approach disc. The feel is sort of similar to an innova gator, except  if it was slightly shallower and with a smaller rim. Since I have small hands, this makes it more comfortable for me. One thing to note is that the A3 is not nearly as overstable as a gator, which makes it great for upshots since you can throw the disc at 50% power and still get the desired flight. I've tried just about every overstable approach disc in the game, from harp to zone to pig to A2, I've chosen the A3 because the bead makes it more comfortable in the hand, and it is a slightly less extreme version of all the others. However, it is still a very overstable putter, so it can serve its purpose.

I've had 2 A3s both in 400 x-out plastic. Both were VERY overstable. The first one, which I unfortunately lost, had a massive dome. The dome was so big it was almost bursting out of the packaging when it arrived lol. The second one is literarily board flat.. I wonder if this inconsistency is common in the 400 plastic or maybe it was why they were x-outs in the first place.

The domey one seemed to have plenty of glide and it kind of doubled as an overstable mid. I preferred throwing it backhand. The flat one gets down a good bit faster but also feels more comfortable for forehand approach shots. Both were very useful for me but also had slightly different roles in my bag.

Although the shape was inconsistent, the overstability and great feeling plastic was not. That's why I still enjoyed using the discs and would recommend if you want to try something more unique for that overstable approach slot in your bag.

This is a truly silly disc.

It's a super shallow lip, with a hilariously domey top, that is beefy and yeah...it whistles.

The a3 is super beefy in 400. It wants to get down to the ground FAST. You can punch it through the headwinds easily, throw it on a steep anhyzer, throw with OAT, whatever. It is going to fight back. I found the a3 awesome for spike hyzer and grenade throws. The grenade kind of hurts the thumb though.

My 300 a3 is far less overstable, and far more normal looking. Less dome on it and it's a bit longer than the 400 version.

Unsure if it will beat out my harps. But it's a fun disc none the less.
