    Pro Details

Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discs with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff.

Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic. Discs in pro plastic tend to be slightly more understable than counterparts of the same mold in other premium plastic blends.

First hyzer flip I've ever thrown was with a beaten in Valkyrie that flipped to flat and soared way past the edge of the field and so deep into the woods that I never found it. I pick up a valkyrie in almost every used bin, hoping to find a disc that feels the same, but without any luck. In the mean time, I'm beating in a Pro Valkyrie.

I have had so many different experiences with valkyries. My first one was in pro plastic and it was the best hyzer flip disc I had in the bag. Ended up losing it and getting another in pro plastic and I love it. Great disc for intermediate players.

One of my favorite discs in my bag. I use it for a lot of my shots and i get good distance with it off of the tee! I would recommend this disc to intermediate players but it can still be thrown by beginners.

Great disc. I was throwing a Beast as my main driver, then I lost it. On a whim I picked up a Valk (170G Pro) to replace it and boy am I glad I did. Throwing it got me an instant 30-50 extra feet in field practice (from struggling to hit 300’ to consistent 330’ with one really good rip to 360’) over the faster and more stable drivers I had been throwing.

Thrown with a touch of hyzer it will flip up and carry beautifully both backhand and forehand, finishing with a reliable but manageable fade. I disagree with the 4 glide, at least in Pro it glides beautifully. I do have to be a little careful of headwinds as it can turn over pretty easily in them.

Great disc if you are a new player looking to step into drivers, or have gotten frustrated with faster discs (wraith, destroyer) fading out early but want something longer than a midrange. More advanced players could benefit from the Valkyrie as a straight to understable fairway driver for tunnel shots or hyzer flips. You will want to pair it with something more stable like a Thunderbird though for wind or just shots that need a more consistent fade throughout the flight.

I found an unmarked, relatively new Pro Valkyrie up in a tree a couple weeks ago and on the very next hole, a wide open 600 ft par 4, I tried it out and it went 50 feet further than the driver I typically use. I have low arm-speed and have always struggled to throw my Destroyer and Wraith. My new Valkyrie consistently turns in the beginning and then fades back to the middle of the fairway making it perfect for flex back hands.

The Valkyrie is already a very popular disc and widely used.  In Pro plastic it starts out  less stable than in star plastic with more glide, but beats in to a turnover driver quicker. In this plastic I'd give it a touch more turn a just a bit more glide. The pro I have now is a couple years old and it needs to be thrown with some hyzer for it to fly straight.  Thrown flat, it flies like a Roadrunner.  As I beat it in more, it will be my roller.  Pro plastic has great grip as well.  I never feel like the disc is slipping, even when wet.  It is not as durable when it comes to tree or rock hits though.  Just a couple of hits like that in Pro plastic can noticeable alter the flight of the disc. In my opinion, a Pro Valkyrie would be a great disc to pair with a star and/or champ Valkyrie.

Valk is rad. Have an ace with one. Great disc. She dances for you. But it's the only disc from innova I throw. I'm old school and remember the birth of the Eagle and TeeBird. Own a first run candy Leopard...But I had a falling out with innova. I got overwhelmed with the 200+ disc inventory. MY GOD STOP MAKING MORE DISCS! The spider, the goblin, the monarch, Crysler! And how many plastics are there? You are an easy first bang (of the chains) for all of us but let it go. People grow up and don't want the birdie or polecat or Monarch in their bag. Does anyone remember the birdie logo? I'm mean seriously!!

Great disc. Threw my best driver ever with this disc the day I bought it. It's a very easy disc to throw and get the hang of.
