Best disc, hands down, cheat code! This disc flies true straight out of the box. Easy to throw, predictable flight, perfect rim size, and forgiving to mistakes. I am a light weight disc thrower, my Gstar Valk is 149g and is absolutely perfect!

The Valkyrie is easily one of the best drivers in the Innova lineup. I found my first one with no name and number on a course after losing a Thunderbird. It is 166g GStar, and it is the disc I learned better form and distance technique on. It is great for those first hyzerflip distance shots, and I just grew with it from there.

I bought a new one recently which is in Halo Star, cause as I grew my power I needed something a bit beefier, and it too fits the bill great. Instead of the hyzer flip, the Halo works as a great turnover and overstable disc, and provides superb reliability.

I love the Valkyrie, I am going to bag one as long as I see fit, and I reccomend that some do the same. Find a plastic that works for you, cause they make it in most of em'.

I have a G-Star Valkyrie at 168 grams. The Valkyrie is an excellent first driver for beginners - I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase their first couple of discs. However, the Valkyrie tends to turn over pretty easily once you build up arm speed. It usually fights out of it and finishes left when thrown RHBH, but you need to make sure you have plenty of space for the flex line.

In my experience, the hyzer flip is where this disc really shines. It will flip up to flat and go dead straight for a couple hundred feet before gently fading to the left (RHBH). This is an invaluable shot to have in your arsenal if you frequently play on wooded courses.

Overall, the Valkyrie is perfect for what it's designed to be: a fairway driver. So if you want to start slicing through fairways, get yourself a Valkyrie.

On a side note, I highly recommend the G-Star plastic if you live in a wet climate. It's a great all-weather plastic, and it's very durable.

I just picked up this disc as one of my first drivers after playing the sport for about 2 months. The GStar Plastic feels great in my hand-- grippy and light. Mine is in 161g so I only throw it in low wind. It is definitely one of my favorite discs to use in this plastic.

I have used the Valkyrie is 4 different plastics and loved it all three times. The Valkyrie is a very beginner friendly fairway/distance driver. It is definitely more of a control driver though.

The Valkyrie was my first disc I ever picked up, threw, and purchased. I was able to get smooth controlled lines out of it even as a beginner (as much as possible). This disc makes some very nice smooth hyzer flip lines or very controlled flat when brand new.

I have used Dx plastic, champion, star, and G-Star plastic. I, per the usual, really like the champion plastic the most. The champion plastic feels the nicest in my hand and lasts the longest. The champ plastic is the most stable, but can be broken in after a while. The Dx plastic is great for beginners or younger players. I recommend the Dx or Star Valkyrie to almost every new player I meet. The Dx plastic break in much faster and can be used by more experienced players as a strong annie line disc off the tee. The Star plastic is great all around too, but just doesn't feel as nice coming out my hand for tee shots. The G-Star Valkyrie is great in cold weather and rain. It's grippy texture is great for those cold hands. The only thing about G-Star plastic that I dislike is that it breaks in super quick and becomes very. I think this is just a normal tendency of G-Star discs though.

I now carry one Valkyrie in my bag for most rounds. Depending on the weather and altitude, I'll transition between my Star, Champion, and G-Star Valks.

This disc doesn't really hold up super well in strong winds, but it really depends on the thrower (I think).

I use my Valkyries to tee off usually. I can use them on any hole that requires a tight annie line. My forehand isn't fantastic so I will move between this disc and a couple others if I don't feel comfortable with the forehand.

Overall, this is a great beginner disc and I woud recommend the Star or Champion plastic Valkyrie to basically anyone.

The valkyrie is a great disc for a wide range of players.  When someone wants to move up from a leopard the valkyrie is a great choice.  With a good amount of turn and fade, a wide rage of skill levels can get a long s turn out of the valkyrie.  It can also be used for hyzer flips.  I started out disc golf with the dx valkyrie, which was probably too much disc for me at the time.  I've used several other dx valkyries after that, but I never loved them or got good s turns out of them, which was my forms fault in hindsight.  My opinion of this disc changed for the better when I recently found a star valkyrie.  It's the perfect disc for me, and gets me about my max distance with a beautiful s turn.

Overall, the valkyrie is a great disc.  Just like most innova discs, it isn't always consistent mold to mold, but with the wide range of plastics available it shouldn't be hard to find the right valk for you.  I recommend star, because it flies the truest to its flight numbers and should last a while or be cycled through your bag.

This review is for a 158g Champion disc.

I bought this disc after watching a YouTube video on how a lighter disc will give you more distance (in theory) if you have a slower arm. While I can't comment on the reliability of that video, I can say that I wish I had purchased this disc with more weight. That being said, this is a great disc. I use it for hyzer flips on tunnel shots. It predictably pops up flat, rides the line, and then fades out to the left. Thrown flat, this disc fades to the right to then fade left for almost a dead-straight flight. I use this for upshots and tunnel shots. I do think that the speed may be a bit slower. A controlled throw seems to produce a similar path to a fast throw.

If you like a more flippy shot or even long fading turn overs, the gstar plastic is very easy to control. If you like a more stable flight then throw it in the champion plastic. For sure a favorite of mine.

I recently tried this disc again, Pro Line and G Star,  I bought 2 ( 150g Pro Line ) to give to a friend.  I tried them to make sure these were good, so good,  Had to buy 2 more for myself- Gstar. The 150g thrown with a quick, flat,  low torque shot is so easy to go straight at the pin, sometimes past,   so buy the colors that are easy to find, this will go far and fast.   This disc is a no wind, low wind, downwind killer.  Easy to grip and release smooth,  so accurate and good for beginners, easy for advanced players to park.

There is plenty of reason this is one of the most popular driver molds in the world. Whether it be for beginners or advanced players, this disc easily slots into a bag for a variety of shots. From hyzer flips to flex lines to pinpoint woods shots, a Valkyrie is the way to go. They also feel great in the hand, which is a huge plus.

I just got this disc and like it quite a bit. I throw sidearm and it flew on a nice predictable line with a soft fade to the right at the end.

I enjoyed the disc but couldn't differentiate between it, a Sidewinder, Monarch or Roadrunner.

This is the baseline distance driver in my book, it's been around a long time for a reason. If you are new to speed 9 discs or are trying to disc down your driver game, this is a great disc to start and establish a baseline for your game. If you are getting a nice s flight from flat or can hyzer-flip this disc, you have a great workhorse driver for all shots. If it's not turning, you know that a sidewinder or roadrunner is more up your alley, and if you're getting a nice turnover shot with it you know you can disc up. In all three cases the Valk is a useful disc in any bag and won't be money wasted.

The glide of 4 is a bit misleading, don't think too much of it as this disc has plenty of carry.

I really like the flight characteristics of the Valkyrie, but for me there are better feeling discs out there that get the same flight. The Valks wing is very concave and has a sharp edge that needed some pavement. I prefer flat wings, and thus bag the Beast instead, and would bag the Orion LS for similar reasons. If you like the feel of a Tee-Thunder-Firebird, then the Valk will be a great understable compliment. If you prefer the feel of the FD, TL, Roadrunner or Sidewinder, then go with a Beast.

When I was first learning the sport of disc golf, I had a beat up DX Valkyrie that flew very well. As I developed better technique and threw harder, the disc started to become very flippy. I decided to buy a GStar Valkyrie hoping that I would like it as much as I had liked my DX one. My GStar Valkyrie was super unpredictable and was eventually replaced. Sometimes it would get a nice, long turn with a nice fade and other times it would hyzer shortly after leaving my hand. I could never get a consistent flight out of this disc and my buddy was happy when I took it out.

Other people have a lot of good things to say about the Valkyrie, so it very well could be a good disc, just don't get it in the GStar plastic. I'm thinking about giving the Valkyrie another shot but in a different plastic. I loved it when I originally had it, but something about the GStar plastic makes it unpredictable.

This is my go to disc off the tee. It has  a very consistent flight path and fits my throwing style well. I started with the valkyrie and keep 4 in my bag of weights from 162 to 175 at all times. They do not swim and thats why I keep 4.
