    First off, I really like the look of this Shimmer Star plastic. As for the flight, it's pretty overstable for me. I actually use it for more of a utility disc(thumbers & low skip shots), similar to how I use my Streamline Flare but not quite THAT stable. For context, I'm definitely no power thrower. I throw a star wraith as my max distance just slightly over 300 feet. But this thunderbird is considerably more stable than my wraith with just as much or maybe even more fade. 

    My guess is that stiffness of the shimmer star adds some stability and prevents the disc from breaking in as fast. But maybe mine is a bit of an outlier. Personally, I think I'd like to try just a normal star thunderbird, but maybe the shimmer star is perfect for those looking for a slightly more stable one.
