Luster Thunderbirds feel slightly stiffer than Star and are often flatter, which gives them a bit more high-speed stability and torque resistance.

When you get this disc beat in, it will fly  straight and hook up perfectly at the end. This disc has blasted tree after tree, and still comes up to be stable

    172g Luster.

This is an overstable disc overall, but not a dumper. Throwing it flat (RHBH), it will ride a dead straight line forever before having a reasonable fade. It's a lot like my Star Teebird but a bit faster (and I LOVE my Teebird). I can pump this thing almost as far as some of my Wraiths. It's always in my bag for medium-long par 3 shots.

I got a Jomez stamped luster TB and wanted to give it a chance. I have a few glow TBs in the rack but never really connected with them. This is different, if I had to describe it I would call it "Perfectly Overstable" . I have to many discs that are way to overstable or under, I have never found one that is in the sweet spot where you know it is going to fade significantly but will also hold an anhyzer line for a bit before making its way back. I stopped counting how many times I was able to snake through some woods with this disc.

I love the way this disc feels in my hand, both forehand and backhand. Luster seems less durable than Champion, which is a good thing, and less stable than Star. The ability to break it in fairly quickly is a plus. This has been in my bag for nearly two years the primary use for me is control drives that require a consistent line to be hit, it will hold an anhyzer line or when thrown on hyzer will flip up to flat and hold for while. I'm not able to get maximum distance with it but that's not how it is intended to be used.
