176 gram Champion factory second Teebird. There is nothing new to say about this disc. It is a fantastic 7 speed fairway driver. Very straight with some reliable fade for the last 15-20% of its flight. I am lucky the Teebird is one of the first fairway drivers I tried and I have no plans to test anything too similar because I cannot realistically imagine taking this out of my bag. Innova Champion plastic is durable, attractive, high quality, and generally pretty affordable compared to many other options. Whatever imperfections caused my disc to be labeled as a factory second are not noticable. Teebird is a winner

I really like this disc for certain situations.   It flies true to the numbers.   The Champion X-out I got is 150g.   Which is a little light for me.   Because of the weight I usually only throw it off the tee box while standing still with no run-up.

    Champion Plastic (171g)

    Luster Plastic (175g)

Teebird was my very first driver, and I still throw it every round. The champion plastic started out as a very straight flying disc, and it has slowly become more understable over time. It is now a perfect 'turn over and glide' fairway driver. The luster plastic flies just like a brand new champion plastic. Slightly flips up and flies straight with a consistent fade at the end. I would definitely recommend this disc for all beginners.

I ordered this and it came today but on the bottom it says Firebird and looks pretty identical to my champion Firebird although it's a f2 so I don't know if that effects what it says underneath near the middle or not

This was one of the first 5 discs that I purchased when I first began playing many years ago (alongside a Buzz, Comet, Valkyrie, and putter). As a beginner, my Champion plastic Teebird felt extremely OVERSTABLE. Everytime I threw it straight it would crash and burn hard left, going only 250-275ft. I remember reading that many people recommended this disc for beginners, and it always puzzled me, given how difficult it was for me to get to fly straight. However, I also picked up a Dx version and it flew much straighter and it was EVERYTHING the rumors said it was. After several years, the Champion TeeBird has beat in and is now a reliably straight flier with good glide. This is a great disc to pair with a more understable fairway driver (Leopard/Leopard3). That being said, if buying a Champion/Star, be aware that it will take a while to beat in. Long story short, the Dx or Pro plastic TeeBird is a great beginner disc, but a Star/Champ plastic may be too overstable for a beginner, until it beats in.

The Teebird is an absolute classic. When I think of the quintessential fairway driver, this is it. It has a great feel in the hand and a totally dependable straight to moderate fade flight path. I carry three in the bag, in champ and star plastic, at different stages of wear. The 175g champ is my most loved and long-standing disc. It has seasoned perfectly for over two years and still flies dead straight with a touch of fade. It's so reliable for forehand and backhand drives and upshots. For me, any hole between 200 and 350 feet can be played with a Teebird. It instills huge amounts of trust. There is a reason so many discs are compared to it, and every company wants to replicate it. Grab a Teebird.

I love my Teebird. I also have a Star TL, and the discs are very similar. The main difference between the two is that the Teebird can recover from a mild anhyzer, and the TL will just hold the line.

Obviously if you throw this high, you'll get more fade. Just keep this bird level and you'll get some good, accurate distance with a little bit of fade.
