Basic Information
| Biography: | I have been playing disc golf since 2015 when I dove into the sport head first. I started playing in the Southwest Ohio region, cutting my teeth on courses such as Mt. Airy, Osage Grove, Lincoln Ridge, and Idlewild. I started out as a forehand dominant player but have incorporated backhand shots into my game in the last year. I am a left-handed player always seeking a fun line in wooded courses. I am also a hyzer dominant thrower, looking for placement over distance in the majority of my shots. An average drive for me is around 275-300 forehand and backhand and I straddle/spin putt. I recently moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa where I continued my development as a player and member of the local disc golf community. I participate in the league at Schenley Park and play the other amazing local courses regularly (Deer Lakes, Moraine State Park, Knob Hill, and now the MIGHTY No Boundary park). My current rating is sub 900, though that is mostly due to not participating in many sanctioned events. My goal for 2019 is to get that rating closer to its actual level, somewhere in the mid to high 900s. The highlight of my 2018 was during the league final for the Schenley Park weekly league. There were 70 contestants and it was a two round event. The first round was played from the lesser used long tees (played a few times per year during the league) and was a single division. After the end of the first round I was sitting in first place, and I ended the tournament in fourth place, winning a cash prize. It was my highest tournament finish in Pittsburgh and I hope to continue that pace next season! I also have a goal this season to step up my ambassadorial presence and grow the game in as many situations as I'm capable. | ||||||||||||||||
