Fresh out the box, it's a Teebird. 3 rounds later its a TweetyBird, 7/5/0/1. Cold weather or control driver for a beginner is the only application I could see this being recommended for by me. I wanted this disc to work because I love the TeeBird so much in Champion plastic  but realized GStar discs tend to be tamer on the fade side. What I was looking for is a gummy Teebird that wouldn't get ground play, the ground play idea was correct in the end but spike hyzers are completely different in this plastic.

This disc did not fit the profile I was looking for in a stable fairway disc. I can throw a Leopard 3 fast enough to turn over and get some distance. This Teebird is the next stable mold up. The GStar mold has a sharp parting line. The disc does not glide at all for me. This may be because I do not throw shallow rim discs very well or even consistent so take this review with a grain of salt. The disc can go straight, but not quite the distance I would be looking for in a driver. I compared it to my 9 speed glide 5 Getaway and they fly very similar in some cases, but more often than not I can throw the Getaway farther and with more glide and is more dependable. When thrown on a hyzer these two discs get the same distance.

This is my go to hyzer disc when I need to shape a shot around trouble.  It is great because you can throw it straight and it will fade off with a late hyzer, or you can throw the hyzer angle and really get it to move.

I really like this disc. I own it in three different plastics. The Champion plastic is way more stable than the GStar in my experience. The GStar Teebird will fly perfectly straight 3/4 through its flight and offer a gentle fade to finish. I've found myself expecting more fade. If you are looking for more fade, definitely go with the Champion plastic, it seems to fly a little closer to the advertised numbers in my experience. It will work better for backhand flex shots more effectively in Champion. The GStar seems to hold the anhyzer line more. I bag both so I can use them in different situations.

I picked up disc golf about 5 months ago. My first discs came from a 5 disc Innova starter pack that had a DX Teebird. It didn't take long before I was able to figure out what it did and how I could use it. It's important to recognize that in the beginning I wouldn't say I could throw ANY disc well. I've since added a Champion and GStar to my bag at slightly different weights. I've found that for me, a backhand dominant player, the GStar plastic feels better in my hand, allows me to throw farther with more confidence. Maybe it's a mental thing. The Champion and DX discs are awesome when I dabble in side-arm shots. In my experience, it's a dependable disc with a consistent flight path regardless of the plastic type. I really enjoy having it (three of them) in my bag.

I have been out with a lot of beginners since I started and some of them throw this disc well and others struggle. However, I do think this is a good disc to learn with, especially to help a beginning player understand the different flight properties of discs.

Gold standard for fairways. If you are a beginner I recommend starting with one in gstar. It's way straighter than champion and star and it has tons of glide. For me it was almost like a different disc in this plastic until I got my disc speed up.

The teebird is a perfect disc in my opinion. It grows with you as you improve. For a beginner it is a great overstable option. It will continue to fly more straight as you improve. I'm an intermediate player and it flies very straight about 350. It was the first disc that made me break up my all discraft bag. It is so dependable to fly straight and not flip. Must have for beginners and experienced players alike. I'm partial to the gstar plastic myself!

You don't need to see another raving review about the Teebird, but here's another one from a relative beginner's perspective. I've just started to learn flex shots, and my GStar Teebird comes out of the bag for off-the tee holes where a gentle flex shot is called for, or flat-to-gentle hyzer shots that don't need a longer fairway driver. I'm told the GStar plastic is a little less stable than others, and I find the extra grip and slight understability useful in many situations. It's a really good learning tool and fits a unique niche in the bag, and I highly recommend it as the first disc you buy after you get the hang of a couple midranges.

This disc is simply amazing. This was one of the first discs I ever got and it made me fall in love with the game. It flies incredibly straight with the perfect fade at the end of flight. It's a must have in heavily wooded courses. Holds lines so well.

Any beginner will love this disc and more advanced players will get a ton of value from this disc.

This is my go to fairway driver for backhand shots. I can throw it out in the open or in the woods on tight lines with multiple different angles to shape the shot to the hole. I can get this disc is great for straight on shots and you can always expect a little fade at the end. I due prefer the Teebird3 a little better because of the bump in speed.

My GStar Teebird is a disc that has been in my bag the longest out of any of my disc.  It is a very old run that is naturally flat and very stable.  Even though it has been beaten up for years, it still has the integrity to go straight and not turn.  I have tried a new GStar teebird that had quite a bit of dome and hated the feel and flight.  The new GStar that I threw flew almost like a beefy FD (stable, but had some natural turn), not like a traditional teebird (completely dead straight with a fade at the end).

The teebird is an amazing disc that is naturally straight with fade on the end.  I bag two, a GStar that is a workhorse and a older run flat champion that is pretty beefy.  Once you have one that is beaten up it will hold a line very well.  The only downside is that there are so many runs that vary in stability and plastics, it can be hard to find what you exactly want (flat, domey, stable, overstable, etc.).  If you are looking for a flat disc the teebird3 is your best bet if ordering online.

this thing is a consistent workhorse fair way driver! I look forward to the several holes on my local course that I know im going to tee off with the TeeBird! such a nice compliment to a thunderbird, if you throw thunderbirds, you have to have its litte brother (the TeeBird) in your bag.

This thing is super fast in G-Star plastic! i can get it to flip up and ride straight for 300-320' before a reliable little fade. and the G-star feels so good in the hand, love this disc in this plastic.

I carry two GStar Teebirds to any new courses or even my home course. One stable one and one understable one. Between the two it covers a lot of slots. The really broken in is almost like an FD/Leopard so I don't need to carry one of those if I don't want either. I find the flatter the GStar Teebird the better. I had a hard time figuring out the more domey ones but it's probably more mental than a problem with the disc. On wide open courses with lots of OB, I keep the distance drivers in the bag and grab a Teebird.

Very versatile disc that I think literally anyone can find a use for, maybe not the same use, but a use nonetheless. For beginners, it would be a fantastic wind-fighter. For more advanced players, it's obviously the laser straight fairway. For me, it was somewhere in-between the two, and I always found myself reaching for something else because it was such a tweener disc for me that I wanted to grab something either more or less stable for most shots. Part of the reason for that could also have been because I hated how it felt. The one I had had a MASSIVE dome. It was probably the domiest disc I have ever had, and definitely the most domey disc if you don't count putters. Maybe a firmer plastic wouldn't be as domey. If you like Innova though, you have to at least try a Teebird, no matter your skill level.

My go to driver from 260-320ish. I think mine is 171g and it's been beat to about 7/10 and it is perfect. Flies dead straight, no turn, no fade. If I really crank on it, I can get a very very slow late turn with a very slight fade. Perfect for longer tunnels as well. Please try these in g-star. Much more neutral than star or champion. Brand new the flight numbers were probably dead on. At least for me, and I max at about 350-360ft.

I have already stockpiled several back-ups as well. haha

Fantastic disc for you newer players. This disc took me away from my Inertia as my driver of choice because it served me well given my lack of power. It is an extremely predictable disc and the GStar plastic feels second to none. This is the best feeling disc in my bag next to my GStar Roc3.

This is one of the best discs that I bag.  I have 2 of them.  One is in star plastic and the other in gstar.

The star one is overstable and I can get it about 300, with it fading pretty quickly out of the hand.  It is great for shots that I need to fade, and I absolutely love throwing it forehand.

The gstar disc is just amazing.  Full force throw and it will turn just a tad, but 90% of the time it just flies straight.  Hardly any turn ever, with a consistent gentle fade at the end.  I can throw this disc 325-350 consistently.  It can hold an anhyzer if you need it to and stays on the line you release it on.

I got a DX Teebird for my wife, and with her weaker arm, the disc performs amazingly.  I highly reccomend this disc.

So I got my first Teebird for Christmas and took it out for a test drive today, GStar 171g. I was never good enough to appreciate this disc until now, 6 months into disc golf. Now that I throw 350 or so FH and BH, I totally get why people love this disc. It's amazingly straight with just a little, yet gaurenteed fade at the end. It takes very little power to put this on a line, yet very hard to over power. I was flicking this thing hard today and all I got was laser beams. I nearly had my first ace today with a bullet that felt like it was just meant to be out of the hand. This is only the first day I've had it. Can't wait to get used to this. Got another one in star already when I got home today. Clearly, Teebirds are popular for a reason. They go straight under plenty of power and there are no surprises. Point, shoot and light fade. Birdie city.

I love it! I am just starting to develop an arm where I can crank some of my drives 300-350 pretty consistently and I have found the value in my lower speed drivers. The 171g Teebird is amazing for straight shots that are just a touch out of the range of a midrange, but require the consistency and accuracy of a midrange. I use it to hit lines with my backhand that i could only normally do with my forehand. Absolutely great disc and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a dependable, stable, fairway driver.

I use a 170g GStar TeeBird as my go-to control driver.  With a FH throw it goes laser-straight about 280 feet, then fades to the finish.  With a little anhyzer release it will flex out for some extra distance.  If you're a beginner with a decent forehand I'd recommend this disc.  I've got a rag-arm backhand and don't throw it much that way because I can't get it to stand up.  I occasionally throw it BH if need to hold a hyzer line, which it does really well.  I love GStar plastic!  The grip and feel is fantastic.

I use the g-star Teebird on shorter holes (about 200-250 feet). Even though it is a overstable disc, I throw it very stable. I throw it backhand because it is a 7 speed, which I like so the disc won't fly a long ways on you. The plastic, g-star, I like in the winter time because you won't chip or break your disc when hitting a tree, but in the summer time the disc becomes very soft and flexible which I don't like as much. Overall the g-star teebird is a great disc just maybe not for beginners.

What can I say about the Teebird that hasn't already been said? For me, this is the one disc that has stuck with me since I tried it. It works at all elevation levels, from sea level to 11,000 feet. I throw it both RHBH and RHFH. Its a stable, reliable workhorse that rarely flips over into a headwind, yet is understable enough to still exhibit good distance with a mild amount of fade. I have grown to love this disc in GStar, but I have multiple versions of this disc in Champion and Star as well, depending on conditions. My absolute favorite version is the legendary Ken Climo 11x Champ, which flies a good 30-50 feet further than any other version of this mold. This disc isn't a great choice for beginners due to its more overstable nature, but once you start getting the hang of them, you WILL end up with a Teebird in your bag!

I was gifted with a near new 166 gram G* TeeBird by someone who habitually "quits" disc golf a few times a year. This was my first experience with G* plastic and I'm stoked to pick up some more, its quite nice. I hear that G* tends to make discs a little bit more understable, and this has been my experience with my Teebird. This disc does it all for me... Or should I say its taught me how to do it all. I've learned to make slight adjustments in tilt of the disc upon release and to my throwing form to get this Bird to pretty much whatever I want. It has become one of, if not thee one go to disc in my bag for most shots. I even putt with it at certain ranges from time to time! For some reason I always think my Teebird is smaller than all other discs in my bag, but this is clearly not true. Small or not, it packs a mighty punch. I'm hitting lines that I never imagined. Not recommended for use in a headwind, but thats just me. I'm interested in getting a G* TeeBird3 next!

I've got this disc in a couple different plastics, but my favorite is my red G Star.  The disc can get some serious distance, can hold up in wind, and is just a great driver to have in the bag.  It's not my main, but I do use it a lot.  The ratings are pretty accurate.  You can get this to go pretty far and can really do quite a bit of different shots with it.  I've used it for big hyzers, midrange around trees, long drives in the wind, and other things.  Overall it's a great disc, but will take a bit of practice before you can control it the way you want.  I don't see this leaving my bag anytime soon.

Not sure why it took me so long to try out a Teebird, but I got one in the GStar plastic and absolutely love it!  It goes so smooth from my hand and has a sweet flight.  Slight turn right and easy fade left in the end (RHBH).  Great glide and love how it flies!
