  1. The leopard is one of the best discs for a beginner. There's a reason it is in the innova starter pack.
  2. The leopard will hold a line for slower arms and has a lot of turn for fast arms.
  3. Watchout when throwing the leopard in a headwind
  4. Leopard is great for uphill or tailwind shots
  5. The leopard is great for touch forehands shots

The DX Leopard was the first disc I ever through and now the Star Leopard is a big part of my game! It feels comfortable in the hand and is a great starting disc. I am more experience and still throw it now because I can get is laser straight. I love the glide as well as it has allowed me to reach 400 ft with this disc!

I got a 169g Factory Second Star Leopard, and as I improved on the course, the Leopard just did better and better for me.  So I got a 168g Star-Xout Leopard from the good folks at Infinite Discs.  I rotate the discs and they both do extremely well for me.

The Leopard has become my driver disc on technical (wooded) courses.  It flies really straight for me with only a bit of fade at the end (unless I throw it very high).  I can throw it with some hyzer and it is very reliable, predictable, and consistent.  I don't throw it anhyzer too much as I have other discs for that type of shot.

In the open, the Leopard is my approach disc when the distance is just a bit too far for my Mako3 or Foxbat.  Nice straight flight with a bit of fade at the end, and I often can park it to within 15 feet of the basket.  I've worked with it a lot to acquire that "feel" for what it's going to do, of course, but the Star Leopard's consistency is simply excellent.  I understand why it's in beginner sets, and it's not a disc that one will outgrow easily (like outgrowing the Archangel).

Definitely great for beginners, but I suspect more advanced players will find tremendous use for this disc, as well.
