The Eagle is a good disc that bears the all-to-common burden of Innova manufacturing inconsistencies. The Eagle has set the standard of overstable fairway drivers from its inception. When thrown with appropriate power, the Eagle will flip to flat and then predictably fade, out of the box. After being given some time to break in, the Eagle gains more turn without losing much, if any, of its original fade. The unfortunate aspect of this disc lies in Innova's notorious manufacturing inconsistencies. I've seen Eagles that came off of the shelf puddle-topped, and I've seen heartbeat dome Eagles. The Eagle is a disc you have to see before you buy, lest you get something you're not at all looking for.

This is THE fairway driver. Great when they're new. Ages like wine. Champion plastic is my preference but they are all great. There is no disc better than a flat eagle.

This might be one of my favorite discs that I have ever had the pleasure to throw. The Champion plastic Eagle is one of my go to discs that I can rely on when out on the course. I can throw this disc straight, or I can let it hang and fade hard depending on what I need it to do. This disc is very versatile when you know how to throw it properly. Even extremely beat up and understable Eagles can be coaxed back into their proper flights if you know what you are doing with this disc. A friend of mine has quit throwing his two Champion Eagles this past year because he said they were flying too understable compared to how they used to fly. As a test, I played a round throwing only his two Eagles and they flew like absolute charms. I have since then been bestowed the nickname of "The Eagle Whisperer" for my ability to throw Eagles of all conditions. Back to the main point though, If you don't already have one of these in your bag, you should get one. This disc will save you out on the course and will make you, and your scorecard, look so much better when you and your Eagle are in sync!

I feel like the Eagle was made for me. I love to put a slight anhyzer on everything and the Eagle thrives with it.

I actually ordered a second I loved it so much! I never want to lose one & have to finish a round without it in my bag.

The eagle is a great fairway disc.  It is forgiving on angle of release and wrist rolling a forehand.  I picked up an eagle once my beginner set was beat to crap and I immediately loved the way the disc flew.  Very comfortable in the hand with a narrower rim than some other standard fairways.

I got an eagle looking for something more overstable than an explorer but less stable than a felon. I definitely got that, but for some reason I never totally clicked with it. The flight of it was exactly what I wanted, but I never felt fully confident pulling it out instead of a felon or a crave.

The eagle flies like a slightly more extreme teebird to me. It gets a little bit more turn in the beginning of the flight and a little more fade at the end, but un a hyzer it's just a great overstable flier. For me the flight was really nice but I got a little caught up in the hand feel.

To me, the eagle the eagle feels fine but not great. If my only option to fill that slot in my bag was an eagle I'd manage, but I just wouldn't be that happy about it. The rim is just a tiny bit deeper than I like and the flight plate is just a little bit domier. These are two things that separately are not a big deal, but when combined they made the disc just a little uncomfortable to hold, and I lost confidence.

Overall I would recommend the eagle to anyone who's looking for a slightly overstable fairway because the flight is amazing. I could easily see having multiple eagles for different lines because a beat up eagle would definitely give a totally different variety of shots. The only problem o have is with the feel which is totally subjective, so you may love how it feels.

Biggest problem is the inconsistency. Maybe it'll be dumpy, maybe it'll never break an anny. You'll probably be happy regardless because of the good feel, but if you're trying to fill a specific shot there's better options from other manufacturers

Awesome fairway driver. My use for it has evolved as I gained distance. when my max distance was about 260, this was a utility overstable disc with no turn and a massive fade. Now at about 320 feet I get a little bit of turn and a straight flight before the big fade kicks in. This is now my go-to fairway driver. Holds up decently well in the wind. My one thing is I wish it had a tiny bit more glide. Overall though, this is a great disc and I highly recommend.

After seeing Calvin Heimburg throw his Eagles to perfection I obviously wanted to see what all the hype was about.

The Champion Eagle started off very stable for me, but after throwing it in a couple rounds it beat in enough that I could get it to turn.

The thing I like most about the Eagle is the trustworthy fade that you always get at the end. I can throw it with tons of power and get turn but I know it will never burn over.

I am a big fan of this disc and hope one day that I will be over to throw it at 50% of what Calvin throws them.

This is an overstable disc, and in champion plastic is even more overstable than most other plastics. Even with decent power, I can't get the disc to travel straight. I use it for very specific shots but without the ability to use it frequently it will take awhile to beat in.

This is almost strictly a utility (thumber, tomahawk) disc for me. When thrown on a thumber or tomahawk it seems to go right where I want it to. The rare times I throw it on a backhand, it flies straight and fades predictably, but I prefer my MVP Volt or Inertia for those types of flights.

This is actually for a Dx (not available at press time). Eagle is a great control driver with just a bit of Fade new. Can really become more understable with use - especially in Dx.

Found a fairly new Dx Eagle 15 years ago and was in my bag until last week (Christmas Presents pushed it out). After throwing for years the Dx plastic has become quite understable. I was actually using it for Hyzer Flips but the past year or so it has just become unreliable.

While generally most useful throwinng BH for me, I did find quite a bit of pinpoint acccuacy when throwing overhead. It kept a tight sweep compared to most overhead throws so was useful in wooded settings where you might have a bit of room overhead.

Prior to this year it had a very reliable flip up to flat, then would fade out for the last 25% of the throw. Perfect for some tunnel shots where you needed just a bit of fade. Just too many trees this year and is now all over the place.

This was the first driver I bought when I went to the local disc shop. I learned how to throw with this disc, and I love it. Even after hitting abut 1200 trees, the thing still has reliable fade. This is my go to shorter range drive and in the woods disc. on hyzer it will hold the line, it will fly straight with predictable fade, and on anny will hae a beautiful flex shot. I will always have an Eagle in my bag.

I have two Eagles. One in Star, and one in Champion. They are the same weight, but fly completely different.

Star 7/3/0/3: There is no turn on this disc whatsoever. Looking at the two, this one is nearly board-flat on top after the initial little dome. From the side, it looks very much like a Firebird. It flies like a slower Firebird as well. Just like a Firebird, I get a nice straight flight, then the disc hooks up and acts like the ground insulted its mother as it quickly dives hard into the dirt. Very good as a reliable fairway utility disc that hits hard and doesn't want to skip.

Champion 7/4/-1/3: The numbers on the Champion disc are very accurate (maybe even a bit less fade). The disc looks quite different as it has more dome than the Star disc, and the outside portion of the dome is more subtle. When I throw this disc, I get a nice S-curve if thrown flat, or a perfect hyzer-flip that ends in a dive with thrown with hyzer. This disc is a joy to watch fly.

Honestly I feel like the two different plastics and runs are almost two completely different discs. I like then both for different reasons. The Star plastic is always in my bag as a short-range utility between my AviarX3 and my Firebird, while the Champ makes it in depending on the course I am playing at the time.

I found a tye-dye champion version of this disc in a creek. It had been there so long, the name and number had washed off. After failing to find the original owner, I tried it out one day and immediately bagged it. It throws a lot like my favorite disc, Teebird3, but with a little bit of turn at the beginning. I use it when I want a similar shot shape, but maybe need to turn out around some trees first. It is very reliable for me and has always held its line. I would highly recommend everyone bag one of these. I'm not a fan of DX plastic, so definitely get it in Champion. The shape is pretty much your basic disc golf form and fits great in any hand, BH or FH.

I love the eagle. I want more eagles. I throw the 2019 Barsby Eagle and it's probably my most used disc. I rarely throw forehand but when I do, I throw the eagle. I do think it's a great disc for everyone to try. However, I do not think it's as beginner-friendly as others have said; at least the Barsby Eagle isn't. Mine is very, very overstable. It's almost like a slower firebird. I do love it and throw it all the time but it is always very windy where I live and it fights headwinds super well. I know it's supposed to have -1 turn but mine definitely doesn't, even in the wind. It is perfect for high, sweeping hyzers, skip shots, overstable drives, spike hyzers, you name it. Get yourself an eagle. But be potentially prepared for some beef.

I highly recommend this disc to anyone looking for a reliable fairway control driver. Ive been throwing a Champion Eagle for over 10 years and i could'nt be happier with this disc's performance. This is a phenomenal disc for a newer player to learn an S-curve or Flex shot with. Its not super highspeed so its easier to anny out into a flex than some of the newer ultra highspeed discs on the market. My favorite use for The Eagle hands down is a RHBH extreme annhyzer which allows my throw to go from left to right with some left fade at the end. I use that shot quite a bit for holes where the basket is to the right of the tee pad because i can personally get this type of shot farther out than using a side-arm hyzer. This disc shapes very well to a hyzer and annhyzer line in my opinion.

I currently bag an Eagle in star plastic. It’s a great disc to backhand off the tee or from fairways lies. What I like most about my Eagle is that it’s easy to control. It’s like throwing a mid that can go 300 feet or more relatively easily. Hyzers, anhyzers, or flat shots hold the line and finish clean. I don’t recommend using it as a forehand disc, as mine can get flippy when flicked with power. However, this is very useful disc for someone trying to develop a backhand or for someone with more experience to cut through fairways with ease.

I have thrown this disc in champ before, but currently I have a star Eagle. I had been on the fence between this disc or the TeeBird for quite some time. However, what finally sold me is the little bit of turn that comes with that Eagle. I have been able to do a little bit of manipulation with angle on this disc while still getting my reliable left (RHBH) finish. I definitely don't think it's a prime choice for a first fairway driver. However, in time, once you have a better grasp on angle control, this could really help fill some gaps in the bag with just one disc.

    Disc - Champion Eagle

Feel - The Eagle feels almost identical to the Teebird in my opinion. When holding both in my hand I can hardly tell any difference. If you have not felt a Teebird then it is a slim rim and not a very deep. Champion plastic is extremely durable and provides a good grip in good weather but can be very slick in wet weather and very stiff in cold weather.

Flight - Many people say that the Teebird and Eagle are interchangeable, but I would definitely disagree with that statement and bag both. The Eagle has less glide than a teebird and more turn and fade. I do not hyzer flip my Teebirds very often and have to throw nearly full power to do so and an Eagle is much easier to flip up to flat and then fades more drastically than a Teebird in my opinion.

Overall - I enjoy throwing the Eagle for hyzer flips or flat shots that turn a bit and finish back hard. I would not recommend this to beginners as it is fairly overstable. If you bag a Teebird and are looking for a disc that feels very similar to that Teebird but will put a few more shots in your bag, I would give the Eagle a try.

A solid every man's fairway driver that deserves at least a chance of making it into your bag. This disc lives up to all the things people say about the Eagle, unless they say it's better than the TeeBird. The Eagle and TeeBird feel very similar, they fill the exact same slot in the bag, but the TeeBird just somehow seems to do it better...at least for me. I like how the Eagle flies, and if there was no such thing as the TeeBird it would still be in my bag, but alas there is such thing as a TeeBird, so this guy is benched. If you didn't like the TeeBird then you probably won't like the Eagle either, and if you do like the TeeBird then you probably just want to keep using it.  However, there's a small chance that if the TeeBird doesn't work for you that this will, and I think it's worth looking into for that reason alone. Nobody should have a TeeBird/Eagle sized hole in their bag.

Side note: I'd love to try this disc in Pro and GStar plastics, I think it would do be a great performer in both.

When new, this is a good overstable and less glidey complement to a Teebird. When they break in a bit, they still exhibit less glide and carry than Teebird while still retaining a good fading finish. I would throw this for flex lines or headwinds when I think the Teebird's high glide might be to its detriment. My new star Eagle (x) is beefy, though I have a seasons champ Eagle which is a lot more shapable and workable. All around, a solid 7 fairway driver that pairs nicely with Teebirds.

My review is for a 164 gram champion eagle.

This disc is one of the most workable fairway drivers i've found. It will pop up flat, but will never turn on you. If thrown flat with power, it will ride straight until it can't anymore and finish similar to a Thunderbird (medium overstable).

For me, the difference between this and other possible options is the narrower rim and mild glide. It will not shoot to the ground as fast as a firebird, but it also won't punish you for torque as much as a teebird.

My favorite shot with the eagle is a forced over patent pending shot where the eagle has just enough glide and stability to find its way to flat and finish back after.

Overall, the eagle may be beefier than you expect, but it will season into your bag very well and may become your go to fairway. I know it has become mine.

I often keep one or two Eagles in the bag.  I like forehanding a seasoned Eagle-X or a newish Eagle-L on a slight hyzer. The result is usually a straight flip to flat flight with a consistent fade. I find this type of release and flight is very accurate for me compared to throwing something else with an anny or flat. When I use Eagles for backhands I am also pleased. Eagles go far. Eagle-Ls really are like seasoned Eagle-Xs in my experience. It seems reasonable to carry both an X and an L in the bag for different situations and wind conditions.

    nice.

Picked up an Eagle-X to fill the slightly less disc than a Firebird role and it has done so greatly. Fresh out of the box it as said before, a baby Firebird in the X model. As of right now, it will accurately push out to around 300-320 without much of a problem but it takes a lot of force because of it's initial lack of glide and higher stability. Hopefully one day this will beat into a workhorse disc and I can keep different stages of wear for different shots.

Eagles are in essence baby Destroyers, or the fairway driver version of a Destroyer. They provide with so many versatile shots and are fantastic discs for advanced players and above. Because of their slightly overstable finish, the Eagle can be shaped and thrown on many more different types of shots than its rival, the Teebird.  While the Teebird is the straight "point-and-shoot" fairway driver, the Eagle can be thrown on a hyzerflip, to turn, to fade type of shot.  For this reason, I believe the Eagle has more distance potential than the Teebird, despite its less glide and more fade. Eagles can be thrown to shape an "S" creating maximum distance while retaining that fairway driver comfort and control.

I have personally found that Eagles that have a touch of dome (not board flat), have a lower wing, and a softer plastic blend are the best runs of Eagles. Just like the Destroyer, there are several "runs" of Eagles so you will have to pick and choose which one is right for you. If you're looking for a driver that you can manipulate and throw on any kind of line, backhand or forehand, then get an Eagle.

    Disc: 167g Champion Eagle (blue)

Straight flyer with solid distance. A great disc for the intermediate (and up) player.

Flight: Straight flying disc with a touch of turn if you throw it with power. Moderate fade at the end as well. Good glide too.

Use: Eagle is perfect for straight tunnel shots. You can hyzer flip it to get some good straight distance without too much fade. I don't use it much for forehand, but it definitely would be a good smoother forehand disc (i.e. don't overpower it).

Summary: I got back and forth between teebird and eagle. Both are great. Eagle seems to be better for me in tailwind as it has the touch of turn. Eagle is a great disc and definitely worth trying out!

Ahh the debate between t-birds and eagles.  I always bag an eagle.  Gotten 2 aces with that disc.  I absolutley love this disc.  I throw it in champ plastic 167g.  Have a star one, but haven't thrown it yet.  I actually own a new glow champ one, but I put it on the wall since I can't replace it easily.  RHBH I can get it to go decently straight with reliable fade.  Along with the eagle I bag its bigger brother the orc.  Flys the same just longer distance.  When it breaks in it'll be more understable like all discs and this is where the t bird and eagle separate imo.  The t bird will be OS longer than the eagle since it has 0 turn.  I love the t bird to and I will often bag both.  Some may say they overlap, but in a headwind i just trust the t bird more.

I think you're either a TeeBird or Eagle kinda person...unfortunately I'm a T kinda guy, but I respect the Eagle and know it well. A New eagle will be better than a Teebird in wind and forehand I believe and can handle a little bit more power. I could always get Teebirds farther with less effort and more control, but in a shorter situation, an Eagle might be preferable BH and FH just because it has less glide to a noticeable extent. It simply slices better than a Teebird despite the fact I think they have a very very similar flight pattern. Honestly, I prefer the TL out of the bunch, but if you are throwing a T and it's just not quite right but you want to like it, the Eagle may be perfect for you.

I had 2 champion Eagles.  Both max weight.  One had a crazy pop top and the plastic was super stiff, the other one had a mild dome and the plastic was slightly softer.  The pop top one was very overstable.  More so than my flat top firebirds.  I didn't really get along with the Eagle.  I had trouble gripping it and getting clean releases with both of my Eagles.  I throw teebirds as my main fairway driver but I thought I'd give the Eagle a try.  Just wasn't a disc for me.  I traded them both to a friend and they are his go to drivers for his forehand.  When he throws them they fly great.  If you like teebirds stick with the teebird but if you're trying out new molds or searching for a new fairway give an Eagle a try.

Eagle Champion, 141g. Flight rating seems accurate.
Profile: Age 64 male, slight frame, small hands, beginner (4 months).
    Throw LHBH, RHBH & RHFH

First overstable disk I could throw effectively and consistently--call it somewhat beginner friendly at a light weight. Relatively narrow rim promotes a smooth, repeatable release. Relatively low glide means it doesn't pop up (maintains flight profile even into a headwind).

Starts straight or even with a slight turn, then fades hard at the end (skips sideways if surface allows). Use it for moderate fairway drives that need to fade-hook around obstacles near the basket. I often use it for the second shot on long holes, either LHBH or RHBH depending on which way I need it to fade. I also skip it RHFH through a four foot high window under a big tree on a 160 foot hole at my home course (otherwise takes a big RHBH spike hyzer around the tree).

See keeping it in my bag as a utility disk.

Great discs. Flight depends on the run and the mold. My eagle is very overstable compared to my brothers which is super flat.

I carry a 171 star that is really broken in and I use it for hyzer flips and lazer shots. I also carry a 175 champ that flies true to the numbers that I use along with my teebird3 for control drives. Great disc, and very useful in different stages of wear. I feel like its overlooked pretty often, but I love throwing mine

I have a 150g Champion Eagle. It's an odd disc. Even at 150g it's pretty stable. It's more stable than my 175g Gstar Teebird. I can really sling it out there too, but it doesn't glide well so even at 150 grams it does not get massive distance. I like using it when I need it to do eagle things, but I don't want to put full power on it, so the 150g Eagle I use is great for 3/4 power shots where you want some good controllable stability. I'm planning to get a normal weight version and I'll update the review at that time.

The Eagle is a stable to overstable fairway driver. It takes a little bit of knowledge and power to be able to utilize the disc, so I would not recommend it to a newer player. One of the upsides of the Eagle is that they wear very well, being able to cover a wide variety of shots with just one mold in different stages of wear. New, the Eagle will have a hard and consistent fade, but broken in they become laser straight and then even flippy once they've hit enough obstacles on the course. Theoretically, three Eagles could cover every fairway shot you're going to need. As previously stated, the Eagle takes some knowledge to utilize properly, but it's a very handy disc if you can handle it.

I have two 167g champs, a 167g star, and a 175g glow champ.  I use this disc only RHBH and mainly for hyzer shots.  I've gotten an ace with this disc. Its perfect for many shots.  Its not to fast so you can really line up your shot. It can go the distance so don't be fooled thinking because it's a speed 7 it can't go.  I use mainly only speed 7s and 9s and can drive them just as far as others using higher speed discs. I use this disc when I need that fade.  Its perfect for hyzer skipping to, just account for the fade. It can handle headwinds but I wouldn't use it on 15+ mph winds. I bag this and the Orc which is it's bigger brother for when I need more distance.  Both those discs fly the same so it's a no brainer to bag both.  Keep that nose down on those tunnel shots and you'll be fine.

I say its somewhat beginner friendly because most newbies throw up and to the left and the fade may be a bit much for a beginner, but regardless it's worth a try. I agree with the flight numbers.

What more can be said about the Eagle? The original golf disc and still one of the best. Nice and stable, the champion Eagle is the standard for fairway drivers. They fade predictably and significantly. Nice tight flexes, clean forehand releases and beautiful flip-to-flats are what you can expect once you learn this disc. The Champ knew what he was doing when he won 12 world titles with this. If you can throw 300+ this is the fairway driver you need.

My champ, 175 gram Eagle was given to me by a friend in the early 2000s. It was the first disc I ever owned and it was far too much for me. It faded right out of my hand and kept me from becoming more interested in the game. Fast forward to today when I'm throwing 300'+  and it is still one of the most over stable discs in my bag. I primarily use it as a forehand fairway driver when I don't want any turn. In that situation, it's money. Straight with consistent fade.

I'd like to try a new one to see if the current runs are less over-stable but, then again, the over-stability of the old bird is what keeps it in my bag.

I got a champion Eagle sort of by chance, and though I don't bag it all the time it's easy to see why this disc was so popular and well loved.

Personally, I like it better than it's contemporary the Teebird.

Give it some power, and it will pop up flat, give a little turn and a nice gentle fade. Players with more than 400 ft of power will find a nice feeling fairway they can manipulate on almost any line. Those in the 300-400 range will find a good reliable straight to fade fairway, and even those with less than 300 ft of power could use one in the wind .

The hand feel is really nice, and the small rim is easily power gripped, even by smaller fingers.

This guys is one of the retro discs worth throwing that gets very little love these days.

The Eagle is my all time favorite disc. Hands down.

I have been throwing Eagles since the very beginning of my time in this wonderful sport and there is a good reason for that. The disc physically fits well in my hand since it is a 7 speed driver, and a good fitting disc has always given me confidence. Also, since it's only a 7 speed driver, you don't have to have a huge arm to get it up to speed.

My first two Eagles were a used DX and a champion L-mold. These two discs had a similar flight because the L-mold is less overstable and the beat in DX (X-mold) is less OS because it's been beat it. These days I carry a fresh champion X-mold, the original champion L-mold that I started out with in the beginning, and a 10x KC Pro Eagle that is nice and beat in. The L-mold is more like 7/4/-1/2, and I use it for most holes 315ft and under. It has a nice flex to it's flight and more glide than the "4" that is printed on the disc. I use the X-mold for my tightly wooded hyzer shots where I'm having to get a big hook but also stay in between a 20 or 30ft wide fairway in the woods.

Profile: Thinish profile, feels really good in the hand.

Flight: Deceptively long.  I always seem to get more distance than I should when I throw this.  I found it to be faster and with more glide than advertised.  Very nose dependent, if you get that nose up at all it's going to go much higher than you want.  It's throwable in the wind but you will definitely see more turn.  Very consistent disc, great profile, feel great in the hands.

Comparison: Just replaced this with the recycled Spark, I felt the Spark flew in between the champion and new Dx plastic.

Final Thoughts: I think this is probably the most underrated Innova disc.  It's been out for so long that I think people forget about it.  Everyone needs a disc like this in their bag.

I bag two Champion eagles for a couple open windy courses I play.  These discs are awesome for full powered shots where you need a reliable fade.  I find these fade far more consistently than my teebirds (always in my bag).  I have one max weight and one high 160's.  Depending on my need for turn on the throw will determine which of the two I reach for.  I have noticed some of the newer runs of champion seem to be a lot softer than the older runs.

I honestly don't think I can say enough good things about the Eagle. One of the first molds ever created and still a staple for many disc golfers today. I personally love the eagle in Champion plastic. I have a fairly fast arm speed (max distance about 475) and yet it still holds up when I crank on it. This disc can be used for any shot Anny flex shot, Hyzer flip (depending on ware), and straight down the fairway. I am pretty back hand dominant, but this disc is also really good for forehands.

This disc can have a decent S throw if thrown well and hard.  My disc is an old one, but still very nice to throw once in awhile.  It is not my go to disc, but it used to be before I got some new ones.

The Eagle is a classic mold not matter plastic you choose.  My preference is champion plastic for the Eagle.  The stars Ive had were inconsistent in stabilities and were often pretty domey.  The Champions (the grippy fingerprinty plastic especially), were awesome discs.  Slight more OS than the Teebird, the Eagles were wind fighting machines that always went left.  I threw these FH, BH, and OH pretty often.  When I bagged these I had two different ones paired with a TL and Leopard.  For lower power players, the Eagle is pretty OS, though not unusable.  That said, I feel that the Eagle is best suited for players, not necessarily with a lot of power, but also players who have a clean form. Players may not be able to throw that far, but if you have a clean form, this disc can be very useful for you.  Otherwise you might find it too OS. As a note:  I have about 325' of power and my Eagles never have turn before being quite beaten in.

One of my first fairway drivers, and while not in my bag as I throw trilogy now, it is a great disc. The eagle soars above the competetion (pun intended) when it comes to fairway drivers. I absolutely love this disc since it always fades back. You can skip it or stop it short and it is a perfect hyzer disc. I now use putters for approach shots, but I used to use this disc for everything way back when I only had a couple discs. Champion plastic is super durable, and while it can get slippery when it's wet (which I've seen a lot of complaints about) taking a towel with you easily remedies that problem. I've broke it fully in after having it over 2.5 years playing 18-36 holes a week. Now it flies pretty straight with only a very slight hyzer at the very end of the flight.

I have only had my Champion Eagle for a few months, but it is already one of my favorite drivers. I throw it with sidearm and backhand and it is very predictable. If I release it with a slight hyzer it will flip up flat and go straight and then fade at the end. The Eagle is also a great skip shot disc. Just yesterday I skipped it and it hit the basket on a 280 foot hole. I have thrown a couple of the regular champion plastic eagles, but I like the opaque ones, which is what I have. It is very flat and just feels great in my hands. It is a pretty good disc to pair with a Teebird in my opinion.

The Eagle is the disc I am most familiar with. The flight path is very predictable and it is great for sidearm or backhand. All my eagles are 175g.

I have a big stack of the 12x ken climo eagles which are champion plastic, but not clear like most champion plastics. All of them are in different stages of wear. There is a sweet spot in the break in period where I can release on a hyzer, have it flip up and fly dead straight until it lands. New ones will fly overstable like the chart above shows. Keep in mind they only fly like that if you throw them 350ft.

I also have a stack of the champion circle stamp eagles. These are considerably overstable compared to the 12x. I never have to worry about flipping these over and having them turn and burn.  Because of the overstability of these, they are great for sidearm.

If you're a beginner, I recommend grabbing a lighter weight 12x or star. Allow it to beat in a little bit and you'll have your first control driver that you can actually control.

Great disc for having to get a good distance and then hyzer back hard around an obstacle. so for a right hand thrower it will fly fairly straight with a hard finish to the left.

Eagles can take some seriously powerful drives and not turn out on you. That is why theres 2 of them in my bag (flattened DX and a Champion) The flattened out dx tends to fly a little faster and straighter than the original (unflattened) mold of the champion. The champion has much more of a fade on the end of it. Even when slightly over gripped, the eagle will come back to center to help mitigate the error in the release.
