My old old old star Eagle is the bread and butter of my bag. It can fly straight, go left, or go right depending on what angle I put it on. It is one of the best discs out there for a good fairway driver. It starts out very stable but can beat in to that perfect disc for anybody.

It's one of the staples in my bag and likely will be forever.  It's faster than a TeeBird for sure, but has WAY less glide.  Also has a pushing, swooping, strong finish like a Firebird, so I don't get nearly as much distance out of an Eagle vs. a TeeBird.  But the Eagle doesn't "sail" much - which makes it great for keeping it low in the woods and for low tunnel shots.  TeeBird = a bit 'loosey goosey' relative to the Eagle which feels razor sharp - best way for me to describe them if that makes any sense.  It's what I would expect / want a Thunderbird to be based off of numbers.  Even though it is very stable, it's also very workable.  The ones I have in Star plastic are a flatter than the ones I have in Champion plastic which I prefer even though I like Champ plastic for all my 5 - 9 speeds as they break in more gradually. I wish the Champ ones were flatter.

I don't know why it took me so long to put an Eagle in my bad but it's been a great disc that takes beautiful lines on any fairway. This is thee control driver. I have a star plastic and after it beats in this disc is great. Highly recommend for any skill level except maybe super new players to disc golf. Good reason why it's one of the OG disc and are still used.

    170g Star Plastic

One of my favorite discs when I was unable to get big distance early on. Its basically a mini Destroyer/Wraith. Once they beat in they can give you some interesting flight patterns.

Beginners will enjoy the reliable fade and easy distance. Also good in all wind conditions. As always I don't recommend drivers until you've developed some form however this will be a good starting point once you've started growing into Fairway Drivers.

Pros: Mini Destroyer/Wraith for the short throwers. Beats into a wonderful control driver.

Cons: Innfuse Star Plastic may not feel as good in the hand compared to other discs.

This has become one of my favorite fairway/control driver. I play a lot of wooded courses and this is my go to forehand and backhand on shots around 300'

The Eagle is a great mold that will cover multiple shots depending on plastic/wear. I have a beat up DX 166 gram that will flip up and ride left before (usually) finishing right for me (LHBH). The INNFuse star Eagle has no turn whatsoever and functions as a tremendous OS fairway for noodle arm beginners like me who can't handle a Firebird yet. And the stamp is the bee's knees!

One of my first fairway drivers. Excellent disc that you can depend on. Still bag my original DX and a star eagle.

The Star Eagle is a rather recent addition to my bag, but I think it's on its way to earning a permanent spot.  I don't have the arm speed to throw a Destroyer, but an Eagle flies how I always wish a Destroyer would fly for me.  Of course, an Eagle won't go as far or as fast as a Destroyer, but it's still an incredibly useful disc to have available.

The Eagle's flight numbers are 7 / 4 / -1 / 3, and my experience with the Eagle in Star plastic agrees with this.  It's easy to get this disc up to speed, and when released flat, it will start off level, turn and drift slightly to the right, return to level and then fade hard at the end of the flight.  On a big hyzer, the Eagle is capable of one of those beautiful hyzer flights where it just flips up to flat at the apex, glides for a bit, and then resumes its hyzer flight, useful for getting that little bit of extra distance out of a big hyzer.  This disc is also overstable enough for flex shots as well.  The -1 turn is enough to hold the anhyzer for a fair bit of the flight (depending on how much power you put on it), but the 3 fade is enough to make it consistently flex out of the anhyzer.  And if you keep the disc low, you can even do a pretty good straight shot, where the disc lands before fading too much.  Overall, an extremely versatile disc.

The only complaint I can really level against the Eagle is that its glide is slightly less than I would like.  When thrown with the typical power needed for a speed 7 disc, this just doesn't have quite the same ability to stay aloft as a disc like a Destroyer (when thrown at the power needed for a speed 12 disc).  The slightly lower glide is the one thing that really keeps this disc from being a fairway version of the Destroyer in my mind.  That being said, if you have the arm speed to throw faster discs, the extra power you put into an Eagle will end up translating into more glide.

Star plastic is a great plastic for this disc.  It gives a really good grip, while also being durable enough to hold up to tree hits.  It does tend to pick up scratches a little faster than Champion, but so far, they seem to be mostly cosmetic (which is not a big deal to me), rather than affecting the flight of the disc.  Still, I would love to try out a Champion Eagle someday.  But it's hard to see me ever not keeping an Eagle in my bag.

I got a star eagle from a buddy when I first started playing disc golf again. It started out a little on the stable side for the arm speed but when I got better things changed quick. This became one of my staple work horse drivers for any shot I needed to go straight and far. I could throw this thing so well in super tight fairways or out in wide open fields. I think the eagle is a disc a lot of intermediate players could find useful when they really spend the time to beat this disc in and learn it. I can throw it on some small hyzers and get a great flip up for max straight distance and even throw it flat to get a little right turn out of it before the consistent fade at the end. If you are missing a slower speed straight fairway driver I would try checking out the eagle.

This disc is a great beefy compliment to a Teebird, a little less gluide and a little more fade. I currently don't have one in the bag because I like Prodigy's F1 better. They are basically the same disc and just comes down to personal preferance, so get out there and thrown them both and you be the judge!

This disc has been a staple in my bag.  I like it for forehand and backhand shots where I need a predictable finish. No matter how much anhyzer I put it on I can trust that it will come back hard.  I use this disc for shots where I need an anhyzer with a hard fade at the end, for driving in winds, and for skip shots.  I would highly recommend this disc no matter your skill level.

I like this disc because it is predictable and reliable. It's basically a slower speed distance driver that won't bite off too much distance if you accidentally put too much power behind it. Good for using off the tee or when you find yourself in the fairway, needing a straight shot with a little bit of turn, and then a hard fade at the end, hopefully onto the green.

I picked up a max weight star eagle a couple weeks ago, and this disc rocks. fits perfectly between my flat top champion firebird and my domey champion Leopard 3. I use it for tee shots 300-330ft to the pin and longer tunnels. very straight disc out fo the box. I throw it about 70-80% power on a RHBH on a slight hyzer or flat. It will carry straight for a long while and have a gentle fade to finish. be careful cranking on it because it can turn over on you.

This Disc has been in my bag about 30 years, lol ! In all seriousness though, it's earned it's spot through tight situations ! You can throw it out with a little anny around anything. It won't turn over on you !

I am starting to absolutely love this disc. Mine is 172 in star plastic. I got it at a disc swap a few months ago. This was my first experience with both star plastic, and a control driver that wants to turn as much as this does if you throw it flat. Once I got used to it and learned how to throw it, I get excited when I get to holes that need this type of shot! Throw it in a bit of an anhyzer with some power, and this thing really moves! I can now get this to fly almost straight with a little turn at the end, and will also get a nice skip as well. I can't recommend this high enough, but it will probably take some getting used to. Definitely worth getting to know this disc!!

One of the great Innova fairway drivers, the Eagle is a great stable option that can beat into a disc that can cover the whole range of shots. My experience is with the Star version of this disc and it was plenty stable new. With patience and lots of throws this disc can become a workhorse fairway driver. I imagine a DX version would be a better starting point for a newer player.

If you have been looking for a more overstable Teebird, but didn't connect with the Teebird3 this is the disc you're looking for. The Eagle is very similar in feel compared to a Teebird. In the hand I can virtually tell no difference, other than the Eagle having a bit more dome. When compared in flight the Eagle always fades more to the left on a backhand drive. I can trust this disc into headwinds and know it's going to fight back. I can also trust the Eagle on a power sidearm. Sidearms with a Teebird can get a little hairy and they can't always hold up to the power, but the Eagle can be throw hard and flat without worrying about it flipping. It's no wonder why the current world champion chooses the Eagle. It's an incredibly accurate, reliable fairway driver.

Currently throwing a 170 Star and 175 Dx Eagle (both x mold). If your a beginner I recommend Dx plastic. After about 5-7 rounds and the Dx Eagle is no longer fighting out of the anny when I throw a flex shot, just flies dead straight on the line.

Recently threw my Teebird into a lake and I hardly miss it. The Eagle is more comfortable FH, BH, has a better flight, and is more controllable compared to the Teebird IMO.

The eagle to me is just a tteebird with a little flip. The champion plastic does add some good stability to the eagle but in star plastic I have noticed that the eagle flips up just a little bit. It is a great disc and i would still bag one if i didnt find the Discmania FD. Advance dplayers will like the stability and the glide this disc offers, and beginners will like it for possible forehands.

I love my eagle. I bought it used at my local course's pro shop. It looked like it was fairly beat in and it was a 161. Even at full power it flexes slightly and has a beautiful fade with a nice skip if the grass allows. Everyone should have one in the bag

This disc is a nice complement to the TeeBird. It has a really unique flight path that I find very useful in heavily forested areas, its also relly great as a forhand disc. It definately fits the Fairway driver spot, its reletivly easy to throw as long as you are expecting a wider right path then streighter discs. Maybe it's not a must have but atleast a must try in my opinion.

Loved this disc until I lost it at roots (Red Star should have had my name on it). It was a little shorter but straighter than my Beast. It was quickly becoming my go to for controled with reliable fade from ~200ft out. Will be buying another when able.

Starting out overstable in the premium molds this disc turns into a very straight flier with a strong fade at the end. There is a reason a lot of pros still throw this disc. Because it is a great thrower. for me I can put my beat Star Eagle on about any line I want and it will hold it. Typically throw my eagle in the 320-350 range.
