I can't express how much I love this disc. This disc is amazing! I know the champion ones are even more stable. I got this because I kept beating in my champ teebirds until they weren't as stable as I'd like, but this fits the bill perfectly. It is amazing! A little bit of turn, but mostly dead straight. Some late fade. I'm not sure what it will be like when it beats in, but I assume it will be just perfect. One of my favorite discs in the bag. Looking to get backups now because it is amazing!

For beginners, I would stick with a teebird or something similar. If you are looking for more stability then it could be a good option. But this disc is amazing and everyone should have one!

Such a staple disc, the Eagle is such a great fairway driver. I've thrown in Star, DX & Champion. Star is probably my favorite, I have dubbed it my 'mini-Destroyer'. I don't know that I agree with this disc being beginner friendly unless you get it in DX. Definitely flippier in DX.

It's definitely overstable & you can get a solid flex out of it. In an open field I can often get within 50 feet or so of my better distance driver throws. Also a fantastic hyzer line in the woods. It will flip up just a touch & then keep that hyzer to the left (RHBH).

Personally I feel like my Star Eagle feels 'faster' than some of my other fairway drivers. Gets where I want it to go & gets there quick. Initially bought as a replacement to a lost Teebird, now I throw the Eagle on all the throws I used the Teebird for and more.

The Eagle has become the focal point for my entire bag over the last year or so. I carry 3-4 Eagles at a time and have about 12-13 at home. I have them in all different styles, flat, mild dome, gummy, stiff, champion, star... and each one has a different purpose.

Flat Champion - Forehand (up to 300ft)

Slight dome Champion - Over-Stable backhand, not much glide (up to 340ft)

Slight dome Star - Huge backhand distance, major glide, high in the air (370-380ft)

Flat star - Huge backhand distance, major glide, low ceiling, with a slight finish (up to 370ish ft)

And plenty of backups for all of these shots. I reach for the Eagle all the time. The only shot I can't seem to find for the Eagle is that nice turn over shot that holds the anny all the way to the ground. I have a super beat, gummy star Eagle and it STILL wants to fight out at the end of the flight.

That's the beauty of the Eagle though, it's always consistent. You can find Eagles for multiple shots and power ranges. You just need to hunt for the ones that aren't super domey.
