After buying a bag full of premium plastic discs to maximize my distance potential, the longest throw I have in my bag is my $6, super beat-up DX eagle on a hyzer-flip. it turns forever and glides like a...well, an eagle...

I also have an Eagle in star plastic that I can shot-shape into most fairways. And a GB color glow champ Eagle that is insanely over-stable.

Amazingly wind resistant. Hits long, low lines better than most. Beats-in very well! Out of all the discs in my bag, I would recommend an Eagle to anyone.

If you are struggling to find that perfect slightly overstable disc, TRY AN EAGLE!!  I bought a DX eagle yesterday and decided to give it a go when I realized I left my trusty Thunderbird in the car. The DX Eagle (for me) seems to glide further, hold an  anhyzer line then hook up with a gentle fade as it glides out.

I found this disc effective to throw into a headwind with either hyzer or anhyzer. However I found that it was less work to get more distance easily. Sorry Thunderbird, you go back in the shelf. The eagle is going to stay and I plan to add Star plastic and the Eagle L ASAP.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have one in star plastic and as a seasoned disc golfer, this is without a doubt an overstable fairway driver. It is similar to a teebird if that teebird wanted to just fight immediately to the ground. Now that mine is beating in, I can rely on it to go a bit straighter and further before that reliable hard fade left. Not recommended for beginners or those with weaker arm speed/form.

I got my first ace with a DX Eagle back in 2001 and I've had at least one in my bag ever since.  I currently have a Star Eagle and absolutely love it!  It is one of the most consistent and predictable discs in my bag.  I go for my Eagle on tight shots with a predictable fade.  This disc performs beautifully when thrown backhand or forehand, on windy days or calm days, and during summer or winter play.  The trick is to not overthink things and grab an Eagle.

The Eagle is a great disc for beginners. its very good for new sidearm throwers and young players. Also for people with tiny hands will do great with it.

This is one of the first disc I own, and my advice would be to get a Leopard or a Teebird instead if you are looking for a straighter flyer. The Eagle is pretty good for both backhand and forehand throws, and the fade comes in handy when you the hole doglegs or  when you have to go around an obstacle. There are definitely times where throwing an Eagle makes a lot more sense than throwing a Teebird or a Leopard because it can predictably fade around something. Overall, I would say that the Eagle is a great utility disc, and it can be really useful in the right situation.

This disc helped a lot when I learned how to throw backhand after being primarily a sidearm player. I'd say this disc is very similar to a teebird but with the higher turn and fade you can shape more shots with it. They both have their roles and I'd recommend this disc to everyone.

This disc was my second fairway driver after the leopard. I instantly loved this disc. It has a lot better consistance finish than the leopard and soon became my go to fairway driver. I took it out of my bag for about a year and replaced it with teebirds. But I like to still use this disc some. I use it to flip up and go straight and then have a huge fade left. I still use it mainly because it has a little bit more fade than my teebirds.

Ah, my very first driver. I have had my eagle in my bags for Over a decade. Every once in a while I look to the basket and know that the eagle has to be thrown. Nestalgia aside, this disc has a great feel and consistent flight. I recommend it to beginners and seasoned veterans alike for a bit of confidence and finness.
