    GStar Details

GStar is a fantastic ultra premium plastic blend by Innova. The plastic offers a unique metallic shine that not only looks good, but it is also incredibly grippy and flexible (you can literally fold a GStar disc). This plastic blend is especially recommended for playing disc golf when it's cold outside.

I got this disc when I was a beginner to be a flat flying disc and it was exactly that the only difference now is that I have to start it on a hyzer so it can flip up to flat the disc is also great to release it flat with some power and have it hold an anhyzer almost the entire way to the ground which can be great to bend around trees

I just recently picked up a beast and this disc is crazy for me personally. I wanted to find a disc that I could hyzer-flip RHBH and I got that and a whole lot more. The beast I got is only 144g and this is definitely my farthest flying disc now. I put so much hyzer on this thing when I release it and it will not only flip up to flat but it will turn completely over and fight to the right forever and I'm lucky if it fades back. It's probably to slow for my arm speed but I don't care the shots I can shape with it are awesome, and I am pushing 450 ft when I get a great pull. I just have terrible accuracy with it. If I have a wide open fairway and absolutely no wind then I will bust this thing out but other than that I can't trust it. Very fun to throw though and like I stated if I full power launch this thing I can hyzer-flip to flex it and that is a satisfying feeling.

the look and feel are both nice. the grip is good as well. but as far as throwing the disc, it hardly does what I feel like it should do. I have personally been very inconsistent with it and cannot seem to find a throw I am comfortable with when using it.

Awesome Disc!  I throw both forehand and backhand depending on which way I need this disc to fade. Very dependable predictable flight.  I would highly recommend this as a started distance driver for newer players,

I’ve had a blizzard champ Beast for a while, but it’s just flip city for me. I ordered a heavier GStar in hopes that it would be more stable. It is, and quite a bit more. I liked throwing it a lot, it was my go-to for a while, but after losing it and replacing it with a Valkyrie I’ve decided I just don’t have the arm for a speed 10. So instead of -2, 2 for me it flew like a 0, 2 even after beating it in. Still a fun, reliable driver and if I didn’t have a stable full of speed 9 stuff I’d rock another one.

I can't stop buying new discs (I recently started playing and love retail therapy) because I missed the advice that said, practice, not plastic).

I was having poor results throwing faster drivers like my Boss, Tern, Destroyer, Wraith and fairly consistent results with 9 and 10 speed driver like the Valkyrie, Roadrunner, Sidewinder, Monarch ect. However, I tended to have my best drives with my 171g Gstar Beast.

I want to be able to pull out my Krait, Daedalus, Destroyer, Tern ect (pretty much any Innova understable 11+ speed disc) but keep finding myself going back my Beast. Without a doubt, I am consistently longer and straighter with my Beast than I am with my faster discs. Sometimes I go further with a faster disc but the next shot may go out of bounds. I simply can't count on those faster discs to give me a good result like I can with my Beast.

Now that I've been playing a bit and have an idea of what I'm doing, I can't reccomend this disc enough. I got my buddy (who started playing right after I did) to pick up one and he loves it as well.

Put simply, the Beast is a great driver for newer players with a forearm release.

This has been a staple in my bag since the dawn of time! It was the first disc where I had gotten my first ace on a relatively short hole (230-240 ft ( or 70 m).) Due to the speed of this disc, I must reassure that this is not, in my opinion, a must-use on the longest of holes. I use this disc on holes that max out around 350 ft or so as well as on very wooded holes. As I must stress, this disc is a tree dodger! The subtle turn but a nice-subtle fade is exactly what you would want if you're a beginner looking for a disc that would serve you well, hopefully, forever!

I was asked what Disc in bag I use the most often. I tend to throw a lot of different discs as I play, but this is a disc that I tend to use more and more as it gets more beat up. I use it for short drives and long approahes. As the disc breaks in, it has developed a more exagerated flight path that makes for some really interesting shots. I have to say that I was orriginally very displeased with the low durability, and this is why I will not rate the disc higher. That being said, until it is completely worn out, it will be in my bag for the shots that need a little more pizzazz.
