Wanted to upgrade from a valkyrie to something a little faster as a control driver. I found the beast to be a little less understable than my champ valkyrie, which sort of defeated it's  purpose. I find the flight characteristics to act like a seasoned Wraith, but with less natural distance. The one good benefit being that it can certainly hold more torque as it more resistant to being turned over/burned.

I wouldn't lean on this disc if you have average arm speed at first, especially if you deal with the dreaded nose up, hyzer issues with BH form at first.

Got a factory second of this disc. Used it primarily for forehands and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately lost it on a shank to the canal so will be getting another on my next purchase!

    Disc - 175 Champion Beast

Feel - The beast has a comfortable rim, right in between control driver speed and distance driver speed.

Flight - The beast is a great step up for beginner players who are looking to make a jump up from a leopard or another disc similar to it. For players with lower arm speeds it will get a great amount of distance and glide. For more powerful players it can be shaped very nicely in the woods. It is a valuable asset that is not in many players bags today

Overall - Great semi-underrated disc that could give many lower arm speed players more distance than even most full speed distance drivers will give them due to high glide and easy turn.

I recently lost a 175g Champion Beast that had been in my bag for a long time. It is missed. For the first few years of its life, I used it in the headwinds and throwing over water. It was slightly overstable with a little bit of turn. I found it easy to throw consistently, but didn't need a disc like that (especially because I couldn't get it more than 300ft on that line). However, after years of use, the disc beat in and became my go-to hyzer-flip and anhyzer driver in the woods. If I released it on an 80% power hyzer, the disc would flip up, travel straight for 225-250 ft and then slowly turn right and never leave that turn angle for another 50-75ft. On anhyzer, it would hold whatever line I put it on and never fade. For woods courses, those lines were absolutely essential and the used Beast was a workhorse.

At the beginning of its life, beginners will probably find this disc to be a reliable stable to overstable driver (depending on plastic and weight) that can correct some mistakes in form.

I don't know what was wrong with my beast but mine was the flippiest thing. I don't think this is normal but I had to put in my experience.

The Champion Beast was my first distance driver that I felt comfortable with. Once I got a bit of arm speed, this disc flew exactly as I needed it to. As a 10 speed disc, I'd recommend this to any beginner who is looking for a first distance driver.
