The Beast was the first decent glow plastic driver I found for my arm speed. Would definitely recommend for 40 year olders and above like myself (with experience) looking for a good glow driver. This disc is still too high speed of a driver for most beginners.

In a lighter weight (165ish grams or so), the DX Beast starts out as a pretty neutral flying distance driver, even for beginners, and weathers into an excellent turnover disc. It throws great forehand or backhand.

I always thought glow plastic was just for playing rounds in the dark and hadn't considered it. I love the plastic (also putt with Glow Aviar now) and not because it glows. This beast is a laser. Ideal for low, far and straight. Sometimes gets out of control and blows 50' past basket. Owns the title for my longest throw. The -2 turn acts like an engine during the flight: pushes up and to the right (RHBH) counteracting and keeping it on a rope. I do NOT throw this Glow Beast for headwind, sidearm nor when I need something to fade left. I also bag a campion beast which can handle the aforementioned, but overall my glow gets much more work because of my straight throwing style (Calvin is my guru).

    • FLIGHT
    1. pops up to flat
    2. glides forever, more glidey than champion so be careful!
    3. more understable than champion or star (turns more) therefor  requires less arm strength
    4. More stable than DX, will come back unless you get too greedy
    5. Turns over into headwind more than I expected ??
    6. Not my favorite hyzer disc but then again I rarely try it because I'm so addicted to firing it straight!
    • PLASTIC
    1. Smoother than DX
    2. Less "grippy" or "sticky" than champion but that makes it slide out nicely IMO
    3. Stiff like KC Pro / DX
    4. Much more durable than DX, not as gummy so it doesn't develop chunks, edge has remained clean
    5. Feels so good in the hand
    6. And it glows, so that's cool

I have a beat up glow Beast that I sometimes throw. I use it whenever I need it. I use it for long straight to hyzer shots. Most of the time I use it as if it was a fairway driver. Good disc for intermediate players.
