The Metal Flake Glow C-Blend Maya is slightly softer and grippier than standard C-Blend runs, with added visibility for night or low-light play. The glow plastic still delivers the consistent flight and torque resistance players expect from premium blends.

My Flight Ratings: 11/5/-3.5/1 Somewhat Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 375 Straight Score: Slightly Understable

For the longest time this disc has been my go to distance driver at elevation in Colorado. The understability perfectly counteracts the thinner air and bombs for distance. Angle control of this disc unlocks a multitude of shot shaping, from pushing hyzers, to hyzer-flips, to rollers; the touch of fade keeping the disc controllable. The Metal Flake Glow C-Blend holds up well, seasoning a bit deeper into the understability over time.

    My Halo S-Blend Maya is a beautiful complement, with a touch less understability, but no more bite. I'd rate the Halo a 11 | 5 | -2 | 1

Coming down to sea level it becomes a hyzer flip to turn over and good roller disc. I found the Pharaoh moving into the slot that was filled by the Maya.

This is a disc a beginner could grow into, with various plastics and weights you can get it for a first distance driver and keep it as a turnover/roller disc as you improve.

This has become my go-to driver. As a beginner, it gives me effortless distance and holds a flat strait line with a gradual. New players that have figured out the form can consistently get 200'.
I find the glow metal flake is less stable than the regular c blend. The one I have can handle some anny and it will fight out of it late in the flight.  I am getting 2 more c-blend metal flake glow to see if I just ended up with a lucky disc or if it's plastic.
I can see the utility of both but the less stable (not stable at all) one consistently does exactly what I tell it to do with no surprises. The metal flake c blend glow seems to be a bit more..... springy?.... is that a disc golf term?.....  Like r pro for Innova but not to that extreme, It's like c-blend and I-blend had a baby. I love that baby. Don't get me started on the visibility of this thing. In the afternoon hours this thing can't help but to be seen. I have thrown this under leaves and in brown and black water and can see it fairly deep underwater.
I tested next to a heat, undertaker, Pharo, XS, tumbleweed and the mockingbird.  At my skill level, this one consistently beat them by 20+ feet every time.

If you are new to the sport and looking for your first great-distance driver then stop here. You have found it.

So I usually throw Discraft Thrashers for my understable distance driver slot but I recently bought a Maya to compare and they're extremely similar in flight!! And infinite has some of the best feeling plastic so I'm biased to the Maya over thrashers now

    The maya - infinite disc

    Hand feel

the maya just feels okay in the hand nothing special but nothing bad to mention the metal flake C blend is very durable.

    Flight
the maya is understable and fun to throw the metal flake c blend is more stable which imo is great you can have multiple different plastics of the same mold and it can do different things for each. The metal flake c blend released on flat will turn ride straight and fade slightly back in left where as other blends you can turn it over and have it fade right.

    final thought

this is a great disc for slower arm speeds and a great disc for a new player that has the basics down and is looking for an easy distance driver to learn with.
