My best driver for forehand flicks. I'm new to the game and don't have the arm speed nor the control to pop this out with a backhand throw and keep it on line, but with a single forehand flick this thing glides forever. I find it flies with a very predictable s-shape and I've gotten the best distance out of it of any disc in my bag.

    But this disc now.

I’m relatively new to the game, so I’m not throw many 12 or 13 speed drivers. This guy at a 10, throws with the ease of an 8 or 9 speed. The understability is helpful for the player with a lesser arm.

I’m often trying new discs to check out their particular characteristics, but I always seem to find myself reaching for my avenger ss.

    Easy. Pretty consistent. Long.

The Avenger SS was a good disc to "advance" to after getting the hang of throwing fairway drivers. If you think you are at the skill to move on to distance drivers, this is a good start since it flies pretty straight.

Not my favorite driver--too much turn without great glide/lift to keep it in the air.  But, it's not terrible and I've seen some folks make great shots with it.  It seems like an experienced player could make good use of it as a hyzer-flip or turnover control driver.  It's also relatively flat for an understable disc, so maybe a decent choice for folks looking to forehand something that will turn.  If I was recommending a driver to a beginner, I'd lean towards a Heat, or maybe FD, Leopard, etc.

I've out grown this disc distance wise, but this is a very rewarding low speed distance driver to throw. I love it for 75% power as it glides great and will give you a beautiful curvy path while remaining accurate. I've always thought it throws like a Valk. It's not a disc that is always in my bag, just because it's level of power is something I'd like to power down from or just have something more stable (Thunderbird, Savant) but this would be a GREAT disc for newer players to build driving distance confidence! Don't absolutely love this disc, but have a lot of respect for it.

Awesome driver. It has a relatively predictable path and has great distance. This is my go-to driver except when there is a wall or other barrier on the right hand side, and I need it to hug the edge of the fairway without any fade (doesn't happen often.)

The Avenger SS flies alot like the Discraft midrange disc, Meteor. This disc is great for those long curve shots with zero to little fade. The ESP FLX plastic is great quality and very durable.

The Avenger SS was the first max distance driver I bought, and it was the perfect choice for getting to know higher speed discs. It's a relatively forgiving disc, and learning on it helped me build a foundation for going on to overstable discs like the regular Avenger and the Nuke. I'm going through a reassessment of my throwing technique these days; I went back and started with a putter and mid-range again to clean up some bad habits. I'm confident that the Avenger SS will once again help me translate what I've learned with the slower discs to my faster ones. Regarding plastics, I bought the Avenger SS because it is available in FLX, and I'm very happy with it. I like the feel of the disc, it's durable, and it seems to cut through branches and foliage that stop my other discs dead. I have two Buzzzs and a regular Avenger in FLX as well, and with my Elite X Putt'r and Z Nuke they form the core of my bag.

I have this disc in Z plastic and FLX plastic. I cannot stand the Z plastic. Typically I am a RHBH thrower, and I cannot get his disc to go more than 200 feet consistently. Now, the FLX plastic is a different story! This disc is extremely easy to Anhyzer and reach a lofty consistent 350 ft. The FLX plastic is surprisingly a very dependable forehand disc! In conclusion, buy the FLX.

the courses i throw have alot of dogleg left holes and, being a forehander left me little options for a consistent longer distance driver. I found the avenger ss flx in 176 and havent changed out yet.
