Got this disc as part of an advanced starter set and the first throw out of the box was smooth and one of my furthest. I've only been playing for about 2 months, and was able to get this close to 300 ft on a smooth hyzer flip. Considering I average about 275 and my furthest ever was 305, I consider this a huge win!

I find the Avenger SS most suitable for rollers, although there are some other specific situations where it is the disc of choice as well. I don't seem to throw this often even though I've owned it and bagged it for a long time now.

The primary shot I use this disc for is when I need to throw distance that is also slightly uphill, and turn over throughout. I don't throw forehand often, so this disc can help when i need to end to the right at a far distance.

If you are between 6 and 18 months experience and are not throwing over 325-ft, you could probably use this as a solid straight driver. I could see this disc being great for many people.

The Avenger SS was the first distance driver I ever bagged and its roll in my bag has consistently evolved as I have grown as a player.  Always thrown one in the 170-122 g range.  Especially starting out it was great for my lower arm speed to be able to get a fairly consistent straight long throw.  As my skill level increased, if I released it flat, it consistently will turn to the right off the drive (RHBH).  So more often than not it's my go to disc if I want to throw a long hyzer flip down a narrow tunnel

One big issue with the Elite X plastic and this disc is that it gets flippy quickly.  Bang if a few times off trees on your drive and you've got a really flippy distance driver.  You constantly need to work on/adjust your release angle for the hyzer flip to get it to behave like before.

I still bag a Elite X Avenger SS, but now mostly for roller shots now.  I use a beat in disc and can get consistent turnover to a quality roller.  I've since moved to an ESP for the long straight throws and it's been beating in more slowly than the Elite X plastic.  Also want to try out it in the Z plastic.

The Avenger SS is a solid disc for beginners in my mind, although just be aware that it beats in fairly fast in the lower end plastics.

I have Nate Doss edition of the Avenger, about 6 years old or so. I used to love it as a beginner. I had just enough power to get it to flip and it would go about 350 ft. As my power increased it became an analyzer disc that you could release on hyzer and have it flip over and hold. Its a great disc, but you have to get creative with it as your power increases.

The Avenger SS is my go to disc when I needed straight distance. I can throw it smooth and not have to rip it too hard and it will fly in a consistent pattern with a gentle fade at the end. Definitely my straightest flying disc.

The AvengerSS in X plastic was one of the first drivers that I could throw a nice straight drive with.  It quickly beat into an excellent turnover driver that I could easily throw 300+ with as a very new player. This is a great disc to be a first driver for the new player.

I've thrown quite a few of these, some bought, some found, from Pro-D to Elite Z. I'd like to throw them, but man they get flippy quickly, even for the rubber-armed thrower. I ould recommend this disc only to the beginner with large hands.
