The Discmania line-up gets a much-anticipated addition in the form of a beefy fairway driver. The newcomer is called the FD3 and it is targeted to everyone who can appreciate an overstable driver that's trustworthy in all conditions. The FD3 features a flat profile and a very comfortable rim.

Despite being very close to the Power Driver (PD) in terms of flight ratings, the FD3 offers a noticeably more overstable flight pattern. This disc can be used for everything from touch sidearms that get you out of trouble to full power drives off the tee. You can rely on the FD3's long but powerful and forward-penetrating fade.

The Discmania FD3 is a disc very similar to the Innova Firebird. Neither one is better than the other. Its flight numbers give it a little less fade and a little more glide, and I would say that that’s pretty accurate. Despite that, it holds up into a headwind equally as well as the Firebird. The FD3 feels a little bit taller than the Firebird, but that doesn’t really make too much of a difference to me. While I can throw the FD3 slightly farther than the Firebird backhand, I do like how the Firebird has a more overstable finish, so it really all depends on what you want out of your overstable fairway drier. I love both, and I don’t really see a need to choose between them.

Not even between an Sexton Firebird and a Doombird.

Good for what it does. Overstable, can take power. My favorite run is the Color Glow Discmaniacs, they are a little straighter. Good rim size.

Came back to this disc after taking a year off away from it. The FD3 was one of the first discs I bought, and that was not a good idea. But after working on my form and getting my distance out there further (max out around 400ft right now) I have now bought another FD3 and I really like it! It has that lovely hook to it at the end. It's a little less stable than my Sexton firebird as well as my MF Firebird. I can't wait to work with this disc a little bit more and really get it down.
