The Discmania line-up gets a much-anticipated addition in the form of a beefy fairway driver. The newcomer is called the FD3 and it is targeted to everyone who can appreciate an overstable driver that's trustworthy in all conditions. The FD3 features a flat profile and a very comfortable rim.

Despite being very close to the Power Driver (PD) in terms of flight ratings, the FD3 offers a noticeably more overstable flight pattern. This disc can be used for everything from touch sidearms that get you out of trouble to full power drives off the tee. You can rely on the FD3's long but powerful and forward-penetrating fade.

While not as overstable as a PD/Roman or CapRap, it still will hold a hyzer on a hard rip, and on a flat release it will reliably fade. Barring everything from 30+ mph headwinds, this disc is extremely predictable and worth working up to for beginners as well as workable for seasoned players.

I really like the FD3, it has just the right amount of glide and overstability.  It is very dependable and will almost always fight out of an anhyzer flex shot, but it also feels pretty easy to throw and has good glide despite being so overstable.  It's useful for flex shots where you need to bend the disc around a tree in the middle of the fairway, or for big spike hyzers that need to stick to the ground.  The Color Glow C-Line plastic feels great, it has good grip and a little bit of give and the glow is excellent.  I do think the Color Glow C-Line is a lot more overstable than the normal new C-Line plastic, but it should beat in a little quicker since the glow plastic is usually softer than the harder C-Line.

This is an amazing utility driver for all skill levels! Very overstable, but can hold a very small amount of turn before its massive fade. It feels great for both backhands and forehands alike. As long as you don't throw this expecting big s-curve flexes you will be happy with an FD3. Plus, color glow plastic has a nice grip to it!

this thing is magic. more like a beat in thunderbird than an Fd3. straight for a long time before it hooks up. I'd say more of a 2 fade. skips like am Fd3 though.

This disc is fantastic, but situational.  As it beats in, for me it still holds up to full power very well but holds straight for longer.  The fade is inevitable, but very forward-penetrating which is great to have - as long as you know it's going forward as it fades.  Doesn't look like it from the tee pad, but it is.  Most discs this overstable will hit the ground at a steep angle and not go much farther.  Because this disc is still going forward pretty fast as it's fading and hits the ground, depending on the height of the throw it's going to skip and go another 60 feet or slide for another 20-30.  By the time I walk to my disc it's never where I thought it was going to sit - it's way past that point.  Very useful backhand or forehand.  I think most people with a decent arm will love this thing.

I love the FD3. Its consistent, reliable and comfortable in the hand. The color glow is significantly less overstable and has a lot more glide. This disc is so much better then the basic C Line for backhands, but it still feels good for forehands. All in all, highly recommend

Just got the color glow fd3 and it's really nice. More glide than a firebird or swirly s line fd3 for sure but still hooks up nicely and can be used for utility shots if you choose. Mine is fairly flat topped but I have heard that they vary in dominess. This disc is a gummier color glow compared to my dark maul 2 and night strike 2 which are both pretty stiff. I love the more pliant feel of this disc and I'm actually thinking of bagging it instead of my Sexton firebird. Really enjoying forehanding this disc.
