    McPro Color Glow Details

McPro Color Glow is Paul McBeth's plastic of choice for his 2018 Roc3's. This plastic is similar to the 2017 McGlow plastic. It's a fairly stiff plastic while maintaining good grip. Plus, it glows in the dark!

Great disc for players of all levels and experience. Specifically the McPro and McGlow Roc3 are some of the straightest flying midranges out of the box. Thrown hard they fly straight with a small amount of turn and hold that straight line until they run out of speed with just the smallest imaginable amount of fade at the end. That being said the real magic comes out of these discs once they have been beaten in, they are some of the most controllable hyzerflip to flat and hyzerflip to turn discs on the market, (that is after you have hit a few trees). Only down side is they are not the best in a headwind, however these discs are meant for those tight straight lines that are most often found in the woods where wind tends to not be an issue. Overall a great disc and the most important midrange in my bag.

The McPro Roc3, these are my go to midrange.  I currently bag 2-2016 runs.  I did like the 2017 run of McGlow Roc3s also, they get cycled in once and a while.  These latest ones are the straightest out of the box McPro Roc3s that I have ever thrown.  Unlike hte previous two runs where they start out pretty stable and work into a perfectly straight flyer, these are dead straight with a very mild fade.  I will be cycling the 2018s in the bag soon as my 2016 ones are getting very worn.  This run of McPro Roc3s is slightly softer than the previous 2 years but they still have that comfortable flat feel.  I like to bag 2 McPro rocs and 2 champion roc3s or KC Pro Rocs.  These discs do not handle a head wind well but in a tail wind they hold straight and just glide forever.

Great disc for straight throws out of the box. This specific disc blend does become understable after a few rounds within the woods. Once the disc is seasoned, it performs really nicely as a great right-turning disc (for RHBH) when thrown at a slight hyzer or flat angle.

Very straight flyer with a touch of fade at the end of its flight. Glides further than you would think it could. Sensitive tor how much hyzer/ anhyzer you put on it. Once you get the hang of it you'll want 12 of them.

McPro Roc3s are a disc that has baffled me thus far.  I have 2 in my bag currently just because they are so useful and I am still finding out what lines I can shape with them.  They aren't meant to be cranked on but a smooth throw you can do wonders with these.

They are slightly understable when thrown flat with some speed.  If you put a hyzer on it and throw it they will go dead straight and depending on the wind they will start to finish and just settle down nicely or with more tail wind will fade out a bit faster and drop a bit sooner but not by much.

Now to talk about how stable they are.  They do got torque resistance and will fight a straight just throwler but if you force them over DO NOT expect them to come back.  They might flatten out but they won't come out of it like a Champion Roc3 or something.

The Tour Series Mcpro Roc3's are somewhat befuddling, pick up a Roc3 in other plastics and you get a disc that is straight with a nice overstable finish to it. You watch Paul throw these on crazy turnover touch lines and think: "well maybe its his near perfect form and disc wear that makes that disc so incredibly touchy!". It is, to a point.... All Mcpro Roc's at this point are color glow and 180g mine is no different.

The McPro Roc3 looks like a roc3, feels like a roc3, and flies like a Nova... fresh out of the box it is the hands down straightest flying and most glide generating midrange I ever laid hands on. Like Paul you will probably need to start out with some hyzer if you are going for a higher power throw. When thrown flat with decent power this disc will turn over beautifully and for whatever reason despite having no dome at all these things just glide.  This disc works exceptionally well for carving tight wooded corridors and unlike a Champ or star Roc3 which can be thrown hard on hyzer for fairway driver like distance this disc is going to sequester itself to more smart shots, where you know how to get this thing turning just right so that it pures a line.

The McPro Roc3 is very poor handling in a headwind, it just gets blown about while its tailwind performance is great due to the large glide.

Beginners can throw this mid with confidence although I would be scared to lose them since they are a limited release disc. It will show you operator error more than most midranges will and have the capability to go sneaky far.

Overall the McPro Roc3  is Paul's go to mid for a reason, it's really dang good and incredibly versatile. Unfortunately it's limited release schedule makes it harder to pick up and replace which is honestly the only real knock I can give it, this disc does work and then some. 4/5 stars is a fair rating considering the rarity I would strongly advise picking a few up while you still can!
