The Latitude 64 Trident is a unique disc, perfect for specialty shots that require a monster hooking fade. When you have a moderate distance shot and need to go around a big clump of trees, this is the disc to reach for. Although the Trident is a driver, it has a speed rating of 6 and a glide rating of 4! If you’re looking for a max distance driver, this is not the disc to choose. The Trident has a super-blunt rim and a fairly flat top. This disc feels very comfortable for both backhand and forehand shots.

While I bagged this disc, I really didn't find myself reaching for it. It wasn't something I really needed, plenty of other discs on the market that are actually attainable in comparison to this. It was consistent, but I had to stop throwing it as I couldn't get too attached due to them being hard to find.

it's unfortunate this disc is now oop.  A truly unique disc.  The wing feels like a speed 7 driver yet this is a wide diameter disc with a big blunt edge.  Sneaky long.  Over stable.  A great thumber disc for shorter controlled shots.  Being wider diameter it's also a good flick roller disc.  I find myself reaching for this disc more and more.  Hoping lat64 starts producing these again.

This is a great utility disc that can be used to get you out of a tricky situation, Hopefully this disc returns next year and makes it off the OOP list.

The Trident is a magical disc. The wide diameter, flat top and blunt edge make it unique among discs. It's not fast, has some, but not much, glide, and wants to fade hard.

Throw it hard and it will go straight and quick with a dumping abrupt, and very accurate, fade.

Throw it soft and you can a big loopy hyzer shot that you can make skip or stick dpending on the angle of your choice.

Don't let the numbers fool you though, this thing has legs. I've thrown them up to 375 often and they love to skip at high speed.

I'm down to one, and bag the Justice these days since it's in production and doesn't threaten to overlap my Firebirds as much. But I often miss these guys.

Also the stability and large diameter make this an amazing FH roller too.

The Trident is a utility meathook capable of handling midrange shots, as well as drives into moderate winds. The unique thing about the Trident is that it's a midrange shaped like a driver. It's very comfortable in the hands and has dependable fade for shot shaping. No matter how much anhyzer I put on it, the Trident always flattens out and fades at the end.

The Trident doesn't have nearly as much glide as a Verdict or Truth, but I would give it a three on glide instead of the factory rating of two. On a drive, when given enough room to work, it has decent glide before it loses speed and fades out. It won't get the same distance as the glidier mids backhand, but it handles wind much better and can be more controlled. It probably gets better distance on flicks, compared to mids, for forehand throwers. Where the Trident excels is long hyzer shots, hyzers around a mando, and hyzer spikes; it's absolutely perfect for these uses.

This is a great utility mold that's versatile enough to serve multiple purposes when you figure out how to control it. Once you're able to harness the fade, it'll go wherever you tell it.

I've very disappointed that these are going OOP.  I love this disc for its super clean FH release for me.  Its a great in between disc.  Powered down it does have a 0/5 flight.  But if you throw it for power, you can really get some distance out of these.  For me, thrown at full power it still has 0 turn, but probably a 3 fade.  What I really like about this disc, is its a great mid range disc with the feel of a fairway.  which makes throwing power shots feel a lot better in terms of grip. The Trident has gotten me out of trouble countless times.  If you like this one, or havent tried it yet, I suggest buying a few of them.

I bought the Opto plastic Trident expecting it to be a slower version of the xxx, but this was not the case. Unless I'm throwing this disc at low power at a higher angle, this disc doesn't fade. As opposed to the xxx which will always fade hard even at full power on a straight line, I cannot get this to fade. It was frustrating to say the least. I tried my buddy's gold line trident to see if it was the plastic, but it didn't seem to be any different.

However, if I take it for what it is (I would rate it 5,2,0,2) it is a solid disc. It never turns over and has a great feel to it both backhand and forehand. It is still my preferred approach disc, especially for forehand approaches. My seemingly unpopular opinion (judging by how no one seems to have this issue) would be to skip the Trident and get the xxx if you are looking for a meathook super-utility disc, and just dial down on the power.

Opto 175g. The ultimate utility disc. I hope Lat 64 produces them in the future cause the trident really is one of the few discs that is truly unique. There is nothing else like it. It's super straight then suddenly fades super hard at the very end of the flight. It's perfect for going around trees, great in the wind, and great FH or BH. I have stuck more approach shots and gotten out of trouble with this disc than I have with any other. Also even though it is a five speed, the rim is much more like a fairway driver than a mid, which I actually like a lot. I think this gives it a much smoother release. Ultimately a disc that would have been in my bag a long time had it not been taken out of production. Since it was taken out of production, I replaced it with a GL XXX.

The Trident is an incredibly fun disc to throw- and really there is nothing like it. You can put a ton of sauce behind the thing and it will go super straight, then suddenly take a 90 degree turn and keep going. Where a lot of meathook discs will start crashing hard after a couple of feet, the Trident just keeps fading. I have thrown it on a bunch of blind bend shots and always end up surprised about how just far the fade takes it.  I put the glide up to a 3 for how far the fade carries.

This isn't a disc I end up throwing more than once or twice a round but when I toss my Trident, I can count on it to hit the line I want and trust that it is going to give me the results I want. It's the most dependable disc in my bag. I rotate discs in and out of my bag a fair amount, but the Trident is not going to be leaving my bag anytime soon.

Not a lot of meathooks are fun to throw, but this one really is!

The trident has become a staple in my game.  I use this disc for short forehand drives and approaches on straight, hyzer, and soft S-curve lines.  I have a lighter weight Gold and a Max weight Opto.  The Gold line has broken in to be straighter and the Opto is still a hog I can trust on a pretty severe anhyzer line to always flex out.  This is a great disc.  It feels like a fairway in the hand but gives you midrange distance, perfect for a midrange forehand game.  Love this disc.

The Trident is a very unique disc that feels, and flies, differently than many of its counterparts. It is stamped '+2.5 Overstable Control Driver' with the ratings 5 - 2 - 0 - 5. I think the Trident is a fantastic utility disc, that feels like mid-range/control driver hybrid.

This is an interesting disc, that is very overstable, but acts a little differently than other overstable discs I have used. The Trident flies strait a little bit longer than other discs with similar stability ratings, but it does not lack in its fade. One aspect of the Trident I prefer over other overstable discs, is that the disc seems to hold a higher angle during its fade, causing it to get more air time. When other discs are crashing due to harsh angles of fade, the Trident is still fying, depending on the power you put into. At lower speeds it acts like many other overstable discs, with a large fade and skip.

Another great characteristic of the Trident is that it is a great forehand and backhand disc. I can get a good bit of distance out of this disc backand, where other overstable discs fade immediately, or require an anhyzer release. The Trident has even stood up, and turned over a little bit on some backhand throws (with no wind). As a forehand disc, the Trident gets good distance and flies flat a little longer than other discs I sidearm.

Overall the Trident is a fantastic disc that really fills a unique slot in your bag, that no other disc can. I use the Trident in addition to other overstable discs that provide me with a little more "traditional" overstable flight. I really recommend you try the Trident, as it is a disc you really have to experience yourself.

Opto 175 x2. When I have read reviews and listened to In The Bags from pros, I have heard it is a utility disc for anything hyzer and that is about all the use it gets. But this is one of my favorite midrange discs because of how predictable it is and it will hold a line for a power throw. This disc can handle a throw used for a 10 or 11 speed disc and still go straight then end hard left. It is not so much of just a meat hook rather a disc that goes then ends left hard. Rather then throw a felon which once ripped on will just go straight and end left, the Trident will do everything, plus my best forehand disc. 6/5 stars if I could for everything it does.

I have a 170 gram opto trident.  I use this disc as an overstable midringe disc, and it is a favorite of mine in the right circumstances.  At full power thrown flat (rhbh) it doesn't turn for me, but as it slows it fades heavily.  This makes it great for going outside an obstacle and having it fade in once it's past it.  It is a reasonable forehand disc as well, though it does have some high speed turn for me at full power if I don't add a touch of hyzer.  It is also great for trick shots.

Trident is a fairway style mid-range driver, the ultimate tweener. Trident is quite overstable but being slow as it is, it lets even slower arm players see, feel and utilize it's flight pattern. The Trident will keep lateral motion based on how hard it is thrown. The magic of the Trident becomes obvious quickly. This disc after it's beat in gains some glide and loses fade and will fly straighter and further. Fantastic disc for up shots in some head-wind, short accurate drives off the tee and various utility shots that need to not skip. Trident is a disc you have to really try and skip so the finish is extremely reliable. Easily one of my favorite discs.

I own 2 gold line and one opto versions of this disc. Opto has a bit more durability for reliable flight, GL is has better grip. Use to preference.
My main one that I use is a 170 opto. The slightly lighter weight allows me to really get behind this disc and put some serious torque into it. Though I do switch for my GL 173 if the wind is a bit more particular that day or its wet out.
I cant say enough about this disc, I usually use this at least once every time I play. I nearly got eagle with this on Hole 9 At Deer Lakes Park 774ft hole. After two drives with the Discraft Crush, made a huge hook downhill that took that big biting fade and I was 8 ft from the basket.
Though I wouldnt recommend it for beginners, its a great utility disc that I think anyone can benefit from. Awesome for forehands, thumbers and nasty winds.

    Pros:
    Reliable in wind
    Consistant fade at the end
    Predictable placement

    Cons:
None, this is a disc that no other brand makes a copy of. Truly unique and versatile.

Got this disc in Opto Sparkle plastic, 172 grams. If you like the Boatman, get this disc. And if you like this disc, get the Boatman! I saw identical flight patterns between the Trident and the Boatman. The Trident is just a slower disc than the Boatman. When I throw this disc backhand, it's very very stable and hard to throw very far at all. If you release anhyzers a lot, then this disc will always flatten out and fade hard left. I like this disc for spike hyzers. When I throw this disc sidearm, beautiful flights. I usually get a gentle turn on a flick, and depending on the amount of power and air I put on the shot, it will usually fight out of the high speed turn. For example, one of my birdies today was a flat release and pretty low. The Trident went straight for the first half and then dove hard to the right. If, however, I throw it on an anhyzer angle with enough air, I will see a beautiful S curve flight that actually goes pretty far for a 5 speed disc! I have not attempted any overhead shots yet, but rollers are not very controllable with this disc. So, if you have a power backhand or if you have a really good sidearm, this disc is a great addition to your bag. I am keeping it in my main rotation. However, this is NOT A BEGINNER'S DISC!!
