The Latitude 64 Trident is a unique disc, perfect for specialty shots that require a monster hooking fade. When you have a moderate distance shot and need to go around a big clump of trees, this is the disc to reach for. Although the Trident is a driver, it has a speed rating of 6 and a glide rating of 4! If you’re looking for a max distance driver, this is not the disc to choose. The Trident has a super-blunt rim and a fairly flat top. This disc feels very comfortable for both backhand and forehand shots.

My go to fairway driver.  Can handle a good headwind, anhyzer release, and has a nice flare skip right (FH).  Also works good for approach dump shots.   Has the widest rim amongst all fairway drivers, thus its very comfortable for FH.

175-Gold Burst Plastic.  Great combination of durability, firmness, and grip.  Gorgeous burst. Super high quality.

For comparison: I typically throw fairway drivers about 350'.  I play at sea level, in heavy wind, with temps at 80-105F daily.

The Trident must be one of the most unique discs made.  Large diameter like a midrange, but very shallow and flat like a driver.  Chiseled rim like a fairway driver, but with squared nose.   Inner rim is noticeably slanted out.  Combine shallow, outwardly slanted, comfortable rim with flat flight plate you get a disc that is extremely easy to get a smooth forehand release with no wobble.  Releases like a Firebird, but has stability and flight more like a Banshee.  Flies nothing like any midrange I've ever thrown, but lands and sticks much better than a driver.

I feel like this disc was made specifically for forehand dominant players, and is so good for forehands that even if you are back-hand dominant and struggle to throw forehand, the Trident will still make you look like you know what you are doing, and might even be the disc that helps develop that forehand shot for you.

I use this disc for basically any shot between 100'-325', RHBH or RHFH that does not have to be straight from beginning to end.   It may be the disc I would choose if I could only have one disc.  Very easy to throw placement shots, especially against the wind, around, under, and over obstacles.   It simply seems to ignore wind and fly the way you throw it.  It will fly very straight with a reliable forward fade when thrown flat.  Give it some anny and get a nice S-curve for even more distance. Turn it into a dive bomber with a high hyzer.  I don't throw a lot of thumbers or forehand rollers, but this is my go to disc for those shots as well.  This disc is highly useful and completely reliable.   Point and shoot with confidence.

FOREHAND PLAYERS - BUY THIS DISC.  This disc is just as great back-hand, but if your game is primarily or nothing but forehand, this disc was designed for you.  I even rate this as somewhat beginner friendly, because I recommend the Trident to any beginner that finds him or herself gravitating to the forehand as their go-to means of hucking a disc.

I love this thing! And, the in bound flight path is fairly accurate for OPTO (second paragraph). The new burst gold line ones fly different (third paragraph). Both fly more like a 6 speed than a midrange.

Opto is a great and unique disc! Flat, it goes 300-325 ft turning just slightly to the right (even if you give it anhyzer it just bearly turns), turns left (RHBH) and just keeps going left for 50-75 ft. That, just keeps going is the unique part, because it is very overstable without being dumpy or turning a bunch before the actual turn. Give it any hyzer and it will be a much shorter sweeping shot.

Newer gold burst ones turn less at the end and have much more glide... so they're less special. Flay, they go 325-350ft further on a perfectly straight line and then have a dumpier turn 25-50ft. They fly like 8/4/0/3, which is also a good thing (a lot like a firebird), but is pretty different from 6/2/-.5/4 in opto.

You could bag both (which is strange for a specialty disc) because there is enough difference in the flights.

    173g White/Purple Gold Line Burst.

Dead straight flicks with a very sharp fade at the end.  Will take a severe flick anhyzer and flatten right before landing (flight like a backhand spike hyzer, but lands flat for sloped greens).  Max distance is a bit longer than the Drone (300'), but it doesn't have to be hyzer flipped for a straight flight.

The Trident is looking like it will kick both the Justice and Drone out of my bag (one or both have been in the bag for 9 months).  Powered down, it flies like the Justice.  Powered up, it flies like the Drone.  I haven't tried an overhand or roller yet.   It's got a nice flat rim, so It looks like it would roll well.  It flies similar to a Zone at really slow speeds.

Great rim for flicking.  Also really good for a spike hyzer.  Tree hits haven't affected the stability at all.

Have been able to park holes that used to be difficult.  Opens up new lines with it's unique flight shape.  It is like a 90 degree turn.
