    Pro Details

Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discs with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff.

Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic. Discs in pro plastic tend to be slightly more understable than counterparts of the same mold in other premium plastic blends.

Tried this disc in pro plastic. Loved the pro plastic itself but was so so on the Tern. It was good and I would not tern anyone away from it but for me I moved on to other discs.

This is a really good disc, but I purchased Daedalus (GStar 160g) and Tern (Pro 170g) at the same time.  There is very little difference, but I slightly prefer Daedalus.  I'm still enough of a beginner that the extra turn helps me get a little more distance.  I recently grabbed Tern when there were trees on the right restricting how much S-curve I could use.  I planted Tern right next to the basket from the tee pad on a moderate distance hole (this is unusual for me).  Tern has great glide, predictable flight, and good distance even for a beginner.  When you have graduated from Beast or a similar speed 10-ish disc, Tern is a really good choice.  In general, I recommend avoiding Innova's DX plastic.  Spend the extra money for Pro plastic or better.  In my opinion (I'm no expert), Innova has good premium plastics, but one of the worst base plastics.

This is my go-to driver. This disc will hold a great line, and if you throw it right will do a beautiful S-curve and give you extreme distance. In fact, this disc currently holds my personal record for longest throw. I typically throw around 300 ft., but this time I got to do the most beautiful S curve I have ever seen, and I got it to 375. This is an incredible disc for any intermediate players looking for a good, easy to control max distance driver. This was the third disc that earned the title of "My best driver". I picked it up after I started to throw too hard for the Avenger SS, and have loved it since the first round. This is a great disc for intermediate players to at least give it a shot to see if they like it.

After my first try with the Pro Tern, it might actually be my favorite Tern ever. I was able to test out Innova's new Mystere, and it replaced the Champion Tern in my bag. The tern became exclusively a roller and left my bag in the winter months as the ground was not suitable for rollers and I have less distance. I was using a Roadrunner for all of my rollers, but after testing out the Pro Tern, I think this will be my new long distance roller.

The Pro Plastic is one of the most underrated plastics that Innova has to offer in my opinion. The Pro Tern I have feels like a nice grippy star plastic. It is actually a little stiffer than a lot of Star Terns I have felt before, they seem to be very gummy.

Out of the box this Tern is a fantastic hyzer-flip to anhyzer disc. I will be using this disc to learn my long distance shots this season. As a roller, the Pro Tern gets to the ground a little bit faster than the 168g Champion Tern that I lost early in 2015. I like this because I usually get my rollers down too soon rather than too late, so the Pro Tern finds a nice roller flight with my form and release.

The Pro Tern is a great disc to introduce to lower arm speed players as a faster disc. It is controllable but doesn't have the lack of control that some of the really fast discs do with the excessive fade.
