My personal distance record is currently held by a 168g Tern (418 ft), it gets controlled distance easier than any other high-speed driver in my bag.  The feeling in-hand is great: stiff, shallow, razor-thin with a comfortable wide rim.  With a clean snap, the Tern flies true to its flight numbers in a nice wide (but not too-wide) S-curve, glides for days, and lands dead straight as the turn and fade balance each other.

Dyed Champion not recommended, just get regular Champion.  My dyed disc has too much clear plastic and can be difficult to find even in good conditions.

Copy and pasted my review of the Champion Tern. The Fly Dye champion Tern interchanges with a regular Champion Tern in my bag, and I haven't been able to find a difference between the two.

The Champion Tern is just awesome. When I first got ahold of some Terns, I quickly realized that the stiff and domey terns are much more stable than the flatter, gummier Terns. The Tern has so much glide it is awesome! I prefer a domier stiff one because anything less stable is too understable for me. I usually do not carry a single Tern for too long at a time, because they quickly become too understable to have a place in my bag. If I want something more understable than a broken in Tern, I will be throwing a Roadrunner because I prefer slower discs at that stability range. Fast understable discs are just not my favorite thing in the world.

I really enjoy the tern in wooded courses. If I am imagining a Destroyer shot but have a serious gap to hit, I will usually go to a Tern because it is so straight and easy to keep on a straight line. They have superior glide to help out in low ceiling situations.

If I enter into a distance competition and a Blizzard disc isn't going to work for the conditions and a Destroyer is too much, I'll pick up a Tern. With so much glide, These can hold a massive anhyzer line when thrown full power for distance shots.

The Tern is my all time favorite roller disc. I was able to put down a 450+ foot roller in 4 for 4 rounds at the USDGC on hole 12, and I never throw rollers. This disc can get a consistent roller line for anyone who can learn the proper technique. I am not the best at rollers but I'm fairly confident in my ability to put a roller down with a Tern.

Overall I love the Tern as a complement to my more overstable Destroyers. If I see the need for a big anhyzer line or low ceiling distance drive, I will always pick up a Tern.

175 died Champ Tern. (stamped 12/6/-2/2) This is a little heavier than I usually throw. I had to adjust to the weight on my first two throws and it seemed a little more stable than I expected but I think it was just the weight and the hyzer I put it on. My third throw made a really narrow S and sailed over two fences that I didnt even think I would even reach. It looked pretty while doing it too. I threw it with a good hyzer and it traveled for a while before making it all the way over to anhyzer, and then took a while to straighten out and I never got to see the fade since it hadnt broken before passing over the two fences. The really sweet thing was that neither the high nor low speed turn seemed to pull it off its line very far at all. Maybe if you're throwing harder than me you'll get more shape out if it on your hyzer flips, but it seemed to stay really straight for me even in hyzer and anny flight, it just glides for days (they're not kidding about the 6!) Cant wait to try it on the course, but I expect this one is staying in my bag.
