The Rhyno is a popular slow-flying overstable putter with very little glide. This disc features a Thumbtac groove that helps provide excellent grip and controlled shots. The overstable nature of this disc makes it good for headwinds and short drives where you don’t want to overshoot the basket.

I got the Innova Rhyno in the search for a disc to use on a local, shorter putter and midrange course that I could throw at like 60-70% power but not have the disc flying past the baskets. I feel like the Rhyno really fills this need well because of its low speed, low glide and strong fade at the end of its flight helps with distance control. I can put a decent rip on the Rhyno however it still checks up nicely. The stability of this disc can take on big time headwinds, so I have no issues pull out this disc under about any conditions.

I have the Rhyno in DX plastic which has a nice grippiness to it, however has gained a few nicks and scratches over the rounds. I would be interested in trying the Rhyno in GStar plastic because I feel like that would have more and better maintain its stability over the DX.

My knock against the Rhyno I have (and it may just be the DX plastic, or the particular disc I have) but it does not have the most comfortable feel in the hand and mine has a bit of sharpness on the under edge.

If you are looking for an overstable putter and approach disc, I would suggest checking out the Innova Rhyno!
