Amazing hyzerflip disc. Out of the box, it starts pretty straight showing just a little turn. What makes this disc slightly better than a hawkeye or FD is the late fade. At equal levels of wear, those discs will flip and continue to turn. The leopard3 turns earlier but always tries to fight back a little.

Laserbeam when brand new, then becomes a perfect turnover fairway or roller disc. THE BEST understable fairway bar none. I have tried a lot of them but ultimately always came back to this one.

The Star Leopard3 started off far more stable than I expected. Initially, the disc would go laser-straight with a small fade at the end. It wasn't until I used this disc for a good amount of time that it showed the -2 turn that I was looking for. I trust this disc with tight fairways and the impressive glide of the Leopard3 makes it useful for wide open shots as well. I just got this disc above 400 feet with a tailwind, by far the farthest I've ever thrown a 7 speed.

I found this disc down from a teepad on a course. I was able to keep it, and when I went out to test it, I was shock at how straight it flew before gently fading. Having worked with overstable discs for the most part, this was my first real throw with a understable disc. I started using this regularly for tight gaps that I once tried to bomb around. This really helped me become a better player, it was easy to throw, and after a while I learned to control it pretty well. This disc needs more speed then a regular leopard, which is great for me because I throw pretty hard. This discs helps you understand flight, and is a good way to learn control. Like it so much that after I sent it in a lake on a mistake, I bought a new one. Glad I found this disc, it really changed my game.

The Leopard3 tends to be a little flippy for me at times. But if i throw it in just the right conditions, this thing has glide for days. Good for back hand turn overs and finesse fairway shots.

    Overall a nice disc

Great disc, I find that it works well in windy conditions.

I like to throw dx leopards, and but this seems to handle my forehand throws better than a DX leopard, and it also handles windy/gusty shots better than a dx leopard.

It doesn't glide as well dx leopard, but it it can be thrown harder to get a similar flight path and distance.

The star plastic defiantly handles the trees better.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of this mold when I started throwing it and I'm still not. Like a lot of Innova molds, this disc is highly dependent on plastic type, and it seems to have a lot of variation between runs, which is my main frustration with it. There also doesn't appear to be much difference to the original Leopard mold. The "3" is supposed to mean it's a flatter, faster disc, but don't expect a board flat Leopard. All of the Leopard3's I've owned or held still have some dome to them.

I wanted this disc to be an out of the box understable/hyzer flip disc. The ones I own in Champion and Star plastic are both more stable than that. Out of the box my Champ Leo3 is more like 7/5/-1/2. A little turn but more fade than turn for sure. The Star is straighter, but more like 7/5/-0.5/1.. a little turn and some moderate fade, but basically straight. That's absolutely a useful shot and if you're looking for a dead straight mold or something to work in, pick one up. It may eventually beat in to what I want. It's just not what I wanted based on my expectations of the flight numbers and experience with regular Leopards. My regular Leopard at about an 80% rip I can get on gentle right turn that holds that without burning and finishes slightly right. I thought the Leo3 might replicate that with a little more speed and distance, but that's not the case. The Leopard is still my favorite disc for that shot and remains in my bag for that reason.

Overall, I wanted to like this disc more than I did. It's not a bad disc by any means, and it feels nice in the hand (especially in Star. My Star Leopard3 is buttery), but it's too inconsistent of a mold for me. If you want a dead straight fairway, there are more consistent molds out there for that. If you want an understable fairway, I'd stick with the traditional Leopard.

I have had a mixed experience with this disc, and I would say that this mold is very dependent on which plastic you get it in.

My first L3 was in champ plastic and after 2+ years and playing a lot of woods golf, it flys like an Innova Eagle... Zero turn with a decent fade. I am not sure if I just got a super beefy run but it does not fly at all like I had hoped when buying this disc.

Then, I got an L3 in Star, and I finally got to see this disc fly like it is supposed to! Right out of the box this thing flys perfectly to the flight numbers . Great for shaping shots in the woods and when you need something a little longer than a mid.

I highly recommend this disc in Star plastic, and I would probably avoid it in others based on my experience.

Halo Leopard 3 - Slight more stable than star plastic

I love this fairway driver, it feels great in the hand, will flip to flat, but not a lot of turnover unless I really try to throw it as hard as possible. I think this disc should be in everyone's bag as you can get lots of distance with a lot of control with this disc.

The rim and the halo plastic feel great in hand and absolutely pop out of the hand when thrown.

I believe as it beats in, it will become a hyzer flip to flat disc for me.

The Leopard3 is a great fairway driver. It's a bit faster compared to the regular leopard due to its '3' shape (or more flat topped design), though I've seen some dome on more than a few leopard3s in over the years.

this fairway is a great driver for controlled hyzer flips that fly dead straight with a gentle fade, they can also turn over when throw hard, but out of my collection, I find they will need to beat in a fair amount before they will easily flip up and continue to turn without fading back.

I like to use leopard3s for my 'baby teebird' lines, when I need something to go straight for a good distance without much movement left or right. I also bag a beat star leopard3 for long turnovers. If you like the teebird, these can make a good pairing for your fairway lineup.

As a complete beginner, this disc took me a month or so to get used to - I had a tough time throwing fast // flat enough to fight the fade. Once I got a little more control, it throws beautifully and with a nice shape to it. Mine (Star Plastic, 173 grams) does a really nice job on windy days, too. A lighter version (maybe 160ish grams?) in DX plastic might be really great for beginners, I think.

I like it. I don't have a big arm, so I imagine those who bomb might have problems turning this over off the tee. For me, I can get nice s-curve drives off the tee with this, don't have to worry about a serious fade. I also really like it in the fairway at lower power, when I'm far enough out to need some speed, but I want a fairly straight shot towards the pin. I can throw it on a straight line on an approach. Star plastic is holding up pretty well. Really like it, stays in my bag

The Leopard3 is frequently the second disc I throw on any given hole; the Star version doesn't turn as easily as the DX version, but I tend to be able to throw the Star a little bit farther. I used to say "If I could only have one disc, it's the Leopard3," though I'm not sure that's the case anymore. It's pretty easy to control and will fly relatively straight, even if you don't throw particularly fast or far (like myself).

It's a GREAT disc off the tee and for approach shots, and I recommend it to anyone looking for something to throw a little farther than a typical midrange.

Star 171g: Flight numbers are absolutely true out of the box. This disc has a much better hand feel to me than the Leopard as it is flatter. I think that also helps with throwing it forehand if you are looking to throw a straight FH with not a ton of hyzer. There will not be much stability forgiveness for OAT however. Great first driver for beginners or kids. This disc is offered usually in lighter weights and x-outs here at Inf-D, making it great for newbeez. As your form improves it will still be a great US fairway driver, or a first hyzer flip disc.

This was the first disc I tried after the starter set. (172g star) It was very straight out of the box with a small fade. For a while it was definitely my furthest distance disc hitting 280-300ft every time.  As my form improved I started getting a small turn with a straight finish and now it probably gives me the full -2 turn but the way it turns is nice and flat, it doesn't take on an extreme anhyzer angle during the turn, just a nice float to the right with a gentle fade back. With good height and angle control I can get several nice shot shapes out of it. So far, for me, it is great for big sky anhyzer turnover shots, 300ft spike hyzers, mini-hyzer flips, and a nice straight finishing 310ft s-curve.  The disc itself is fairly flat and I like the way that feels in the hand. I'm predominantly a backhand thrower and this disc is great for that. I throw other discs forehand but I haven't liked this one much for that yet as its too understable to flex but its still too stable for me to flip up from hyzer with a FH.

This is a great disc for hyzer flips and subtle turnover shots. I have had a blast learning how to truly unlock the potential of this disc. Once you get the leopard 3 beat in a little it really opens up and becomes a great hyzer flip disc.

The overall feel of this mold is comfortable, its great for my RHBH form but I have yet to unleash success on a RHFH use. The star plastic is very durable and somewhat consistent from disc to disc.

I took many years off from disc golfing and just started playing regularly again this summer. My Star Valkyrie was my go-to driver until I picked up a Leopard3. It fades a lot less for my intermediate arm so my throws with it are usually a bit more precise. I can still get a little more distance out of the Valk and it is better for getting around things but the Leopard3 works better for me for straightforward shots. It has taken over a lot of shots that used to belong to the Valkyrie.

I found one of these on North Tahoe Regional, Hole 17 with no name, in Star plastic.  If it's yours, hit me up but it cycles in and out of my bag.  Nice and straight, it holds every line.  I got a new one and it's a bit more stable, will need to be worked in to do the same thing but it'll be a great straight to stable driver for you for a long time.  In Star, at least out of the box, there's no way these have -2 turn but the other numbers seem spot on.  Doesn't fade, glides a ways and very controllable.

I have two Leopard3's in 175g Star plastic and they are surprisingly different. One is gummier and grippier, flatter top and that one is less under-stable, feels just a touch faster and less glide and fights out of anhyzers more. The other one is a little firmer with more dome and that one glides noticeably more and holds a turn much longer. I like both of them and the Leopard3 has become a favorite fairway driver for me. Although, it honestly flies so much like a midrange, it almost feels like a separate category. I love this disc for tunnel shots or turnover shots. I prefer the Star plastic because I like the grip and it has good durability. It has a very comfortable rim. I plan on carrying this every round I play!

The leopard3 is a very nice understable fairway driver that can be useful for various arm speeds and shot shapes.  The one I had in star plastic started off a bit more stable than I expected, but quickly beat in to the perfect hyzer flip control driver.  It's surprisingly flat but still has good glide.  A great disc for tunnel shots too long for a midrange and too narrow for a distance driver.

For me, a great understable control driver for tight tunnel hyzer flips and 300' holes where a turnover works better than a flick. Can't find a disc that does what it does better than it does it. I use Star plastic, as I find Champion plastic to be just too hard and rigid and like throwing a dinner plate.

I got this disc back when I first got into disc golf in Star 170 grams for hyzer flips and turnovers.  It did not do that at all back then because of my poor form.  Now that I have good form it does just that.  It is great for straight shots when thrown lightly or with hyzer, and smooth s-lines when thrown flat.  However it seems to me that I can throw a TL better for straight shots and for big anyhyzers.  I take the Leopard 3 in and out of my bag, usually depending on the course I am playing, it's not a bad disc, I just prefer the TL.

I would recommend this disc for beginners for a slightly over stable fairway and to more advanced players for hyzer flips and for straight shots.

I bought the Leopard3 because of how much I liked the Leopard, I did the same with the Teebird and the Teebird3. The only thing is with making the jump to the Leopard3 from the Leopard, I lost some of the turn with the gained speed, or that is how I felt at least. It is stil a great disc and I would recommend you try it. Personally I will be sticking to the Leopard.

I recently got this disc, and it already has an important spot in my bag. In my opinion, it's like a longer mako3, because, as the description says, it will go "laser straight" when thrown lightly, and will finish right (RHBH) when thrown with a lot of power, which is exactly what my mako3 does. While I don't use this disc often in the open field, it is super important when I'm in the woods and need a slight hyzer flip, a long straight shot, or a long shot that needs to go right the whole way (RHBH).

If you learned disc golf by throwing the Innova starter set and enjoyed the DX Leopard then, and if you're now more of an intermediate player, you should have the Leopard3 in your bag! It's a staple semi-understable fairway driver.

I especially like the Leopard3 because Innova's 3's are the flatter-topped slightly-faster version of the regular disc, and I wanted something slightly faster than my 5-speed understable mid-range, and slower than my RoadRunner (Innova).

Not the most "sexy" disc to own, but it is a fantastic disc that you can trust to turn and have a slight finish.

As a beginner I was recommended to try this disc to learn RHBH form and try to gain distance and this disc really delivered. It turns over and glides well and flies straight. For someone who is just learning to throw with more speed I couldn't recommend this disc highly enough if you're in the same spot and need something slightly understable that will still give you some distance and control.

I recently switched from a TL3 to a Leopard3 and my game has improved dramatically. While the TL3 was a respectable disc, it doesn't come close to the Leo3. Throw it on a hyzer, and watch it flip to flat and carry dead straight. Throw it flat, and watch the disc fly a long turnover line. You can never go wrong when grabbing this disc. It gets sneaky distance too, going just as far as my distance drivers.

What a great disc! The Leopard3 has salvaged my game in the last few days. Because of life, I wasnt able to get out and play for 5 weeks and my game (already suspect) went down the tubes.

I played a couple rounds and just couldnt get things going. My drives were either mortar shots or would turn and burn. So I decided to throttle down and picked up a pink 171g ?Leopard3. Immediately my drives leveled out and started going in the general direction I was aiming.

Now I believe I have a new go-to driver. The Mystere is going to stay parked in my bag and the Leopard3 is going to get the lions share of the work. It brought my game back from the brink and I'm going to stick with what works.

Disc: 175g Star Leopard3 (pink...yes, I know. Pink. it was a gift, ok?)

Great disc. I prefer regular Leopard, but this would work in a pinch. Super straight flyer and great for shaping shots. Leopard is THE fairway driver if you ask me.

Flight: The Leopard3 flies very straight. Right out of the box it even avoid turn as it has more speed and stability than I was expecting. Once worked in, it's just a very good straight flyer. Flies just as you'd want a control driver to fly.

Use: Put some anny and it holds to the ground. Put hyzer and it will flip to flat and fly straight with minimal fade at the end. Perfect for tunnel shots. Primarily backhand disc. Great for launching with tailwinds.

Summary: Everyone should have a Leopard because they are awesome and can do so much (and the Leopard3 is a slightly faster/stable version, so it works great). Definitely pick one of these up!

Great utility control driver. Can flip it for laser straight shots with a slight fade at the end. Main use it get from my Leopard3 though is for slightly anhyzer shots that will hold a anhyzer line without turning over too much or fading back significantly at the end of its flight. Good for RHBH holes that you need to go a little right.

Time to update this review, because once I learned to shape the Leopard3, I realized how nice it was. Perfect for anyone who bags a Teebird but isn't always happy with what they get out of it. Because the Leopard3 can hit the same lines with less power. And once you beat it in a bit, you can throw some turnover shots and hyzer-flips.

Definitely going to be a great driver for beginners who are trying to push their distance beyond 300 feet. I've pured a handful of wooded shots with this, and it sits down nicer than a lot of other fairways.

This has been my favorite disc since I started in July 2018.  The Disc is very forgiving and has only a slight fade when I throw it most of the time.  It is more likely to continue to drift right then to have a hard fade.  This is a must have for any beginner looking to stay on the fairway.

The Star Leopard3 is the best Leopard3 in my opinion, but that is probably because I LOVE Star Plastic. I gave the Champion L3 a 5 Star review, but the Star plastic gives the Leopard3 a 6th star in my review (see the pun?). It is controllable out of the hand with a dependable finish. The Leopard3 was surprisingly similar to the C-Line FD, and I wasn't surprised to find out that the Star Leopard3 flies similar to an S-FD. If the FD wasn't what you were looking for in a straight fairway driver, try the Leopard3 for a similar flight with a different feel to the disc. Powerful players might find themselves throwing huge anhyzer shots with the Leopard3, or even powerful rollers. I would suggest this for tunnel shots, controlled turnovers, or very high hyzer-flip hyzer shots. I can imagine the Star Leopard3 will make it into the bag for certain days

Wow, I would have to say this is the singular best disc that Innova produces.  I can afford to say this because I'm in the unpopular camp who dislikes the successful Roc and Aviar families, but even I admit that Innova has the best fairway drivers in the game.  What makes the Leopard3 so special in my opinion is its ability to be an integral part of anyones game, all the way from newbie to professional circuit play.

Newer players will find the Leopard3 to be a beautiful first driver, with the slow speed and understability that is crucial to getting straight shots and good distance for weaker arms.  From that point, it transforms from an introductory straight shot driver to an introductory hyzerflip driver.  Even though the 3 series has less glide than the original Leopard, it still has plenty enough to get incredible distance and the increases speed and reduced fade make it a truly controllable and accurate disc for a variety of shots.  I mostly use my Teebird3 in the open, but any shot shaping that requires a controllable understable disc or a DEAD STRAIGHT hyzerflip lazer has me reaching for the Leopard3.  It's so accurate that when I have the opportunity to seek out aces consequence-free (ie: when my partner is parked) I reach for the Leopard3 even on short holes "better suited" for other discs.

This disc perfectly fits in my lineup for dead straight to slight turnover shots all the way up to 325 feet. I don't think this disc turns as much as some would think, but I like that because it feels more consistent for me. I think this disc is the perfect balance between too flippy and to stable which helps it to stay really straight with some power behind it. I used to throw a Lat64 river for my straight to understable fairway but it was too flippy for me to keep staright down tunnels. This disc solved that problem.

Perfect for slow turnovers and straight tunnel shots.

Star plastic is great for grip in rain and coldish weather.

Small rim feels great in the hand.

The Leopard3 is a great fairway driver for all levels of the game. I carry a 175 star Leopard3 and I love it. It was a touch more stable than I anticipated but because of that it has beat in very nicely. When I throw the leopard3 with hyzer at about 80% it will flip up flat and fly dead straight before a soft finish to the left for RHBH. If I throw a full power hyzer, it will flip up and get a little bit of turn before finishing straight. You can shape all kinds of shots with this disc. I think the DX version would be the ideal first driver for a beginner after graduating from only throwing putters and mids.

This disc is good for lower powered arms or beginners. It can be counted on to turn over for more advanced players.

Great disc for any skill level as it has many uses I like the 3 molds from innova cause i typically like disc to get where they need to go fast and not glide too much due to windier conditions at my home course. Also a very good disc for wooded courses and controlled hyzer flips. Beginners should get more distance out of this disc due to the understable nature of this disc and its a great disc to develop a solid forehand. All in all an extremely well balanced disc that everyone should have in their bag.

I love my Leo3! I bought this disc early on in my career and it still always has a spot in my bag. Great for straight to slight turnover shots, I often use it for tunnel shots that need to go pretty straight for a while. It has a good amount of glide to it, so even though it's a lower speed driver I can still get a good 350 out of it. You will not regret buying this disc.

Leopard 3 for me is a dead straight disc.  I can throw it literally straight, no turn, no fade, lands flat.  If you really lay into it, it will turnover some and come back slowly.  I think for a beginner a regular leopard will be a better choice with the lower speed rating and more glide.

The leopard3 is the understable fairway driver of choice for top level pros for a reason. The pinpoint accuracy and control while still turning right on release are hard to match. If you're looking for a disc that will go far while still providing a solid amount of precision, try out the leopard3. It's a disc that can quickly become a go to in anyone's bag.

The Leopard3 is a disc I initially just passed over thinking I could just use Teebirds for my only fairway driver boy was I ever wrong. The Leopard3 features the Innova/Discmania "3 top" and is very, very flat. It has a small easy to grip rim and should be usable by all but maybe the much younger generation. My test subjects were a 170g Gstar and a 169G Star Leopard 3 and both had identical profiles... but definitely different flights.

Out of the box your Leopard3 might surprise you in the star or champion plastic. I initially had snagged a Gstar one from the F2 bin at my local shop thinking I'd just give it a try and give it to my brother when I inevitably was disappinted with it. Wow was I wrong, this disc is effortless distance, it has the perfect ratio of turn to fade and out of the box the Gstar plastic is very flippy in my experience. I decided I wanted to start working in a spare and picked up a star Leopard 3 and was shocked at how different it flew. The Star Leopard3 was surprisingly stable during the initial break in period only giving me the tiniest amount of turn. The Leopard3 works best for Hyzer-flip or long hooking Anhyzers but once beat in can work for a pretty quick curling roller. Overhand shots are definitely not in the leopard3's wheel house though.

The Leopard3 doesn't perform all that well in headwinds unless thrown very low, tailwinds however the leopard3 seems to fly completely unshaken by all but the most ripping of tailwinds.

The leopard3 is a little fast for beginners, you can get it in DX now which is pretty good I would say it's a great first driver assuming you worked your way up to that point. It's great because you can always disc up to the more stable plastics as your experience and skill increase.

Overall the Leopard3 is quite the disc and I have found it indispensable in my bag offering me shots that I would not otherwise be able to pull off. It's understability proves to be quite useful but a 4/5 is about all you can give a disc with a very unique skill set like this.

?I absolute love this disc. Fresh out the box this disc flipped up went straight and then kept going. Easily get 350 from this disc. I throw mainly forehands and it handles the torque really well. It was also really good for my BH which is good but not that good. One of my favorite discs in my bag right now and don't see it changing.

I recently got into disk golf and like many beginners, finding a disk that works for my skill level is difficult. The Lep3 in star plastic(167g) is my favorite driver in my bag. As i begin to improve my form and technique my results with this driver is improving alot.

As I mention above, im new to this sport. As of now I really like Innova products.  Specially in the star plastic. Give this disk a try.

One of the best discs that I have ever thrown. Do not use to give yourself max weight but is very stable and can get you a great second shot up-shot on a 400 foot+ hole. Excellent fairway driver!

    175 g Yellow Star Leopard3

I throw a lot of overstable discs. I decided it was time for me to start branching out and see what all the Leopard hype was about. I went to a local store and got a few DX Leopards, but I found them to be too understable for my liking. Still wanting that understable staple in my bag, I decided to pick up a Star Leopard3 at a tournament. I was thinking it would be just a little more stable than the DX Leo's I had previously thrown. Boy was I wrong. I saw LaPutka had compared it to an S-Line FD, and I imagine he is spot on with that comparison. I only have a C-Line FD, but as far as stability goes, that and the L3 are very similar. If I really crank on it, I can get a nice turn out of it, but if I were trying to throw a long smooth straight shot, this would be my disc of choice. I would recommend this disc highly, just know that in my experience it is a much straighter flyer that a regular Leopard.

Got this disc just for turnover shots where I need the disc to go right. Star plastic grip feels great and allows for a consistent throw that I can rely on.

This is a great disc! If you are new it could be a little stable but if you have a few months experience this disc is really nice. I've been playing about six months and LOVE this disc. It seems to be a very popular disc and there is a reason for it. I highly recommend it.

I own two Leopard3's (167g, 175g).  For me, these discs are very straight flyers with a dependable finish.  In fact, at the moment they fly similar to my Star TL however I use my TL quite often.  However, if I put a slight anhyzer on the Leopard3 it won't fight out of it as quick as my TL does.  t the moment I typically throw this disc 280-315'.  Unfortunately, my consistency when driving for distance differs from one day to the next I'm starting to see some improvement.  As I improve this disc is going to be great for wooded tunnel shots in the upper 200' to lower 300' range.  The Star plastic feels great, is durable, and in bright colors I think it's a tad easier to find over Champion plastic since Star plastic is not translucent.  As I use this disc more I'm sure it will become more understable. Highly recommended.
